MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Pulling the imps single can be a pain to split unless you're 55+ but it's very doable below that, pulled the area at 49 several times on my monk and still pulling the area single at 51. The Efreeti spawn is random, seen him not spawn in 3 hours then spawn back to back to back right after the drought, he's like the frenzy spawn but not as rare. I've won around 12 pairs of GEB's between 3 characters. The area is easily taken as a 55 druid/60 monk/55 cleric.
me and my sis own this area and this dude... 55 monk rogue shaman 57 druid. monk can usually single pull otherwise we do root control with adds and it can sometimes be a pain to single pull... tahts for sure
What level should a monk or shadow knight be to successfully single pull this camp? I've never made a char who can FD so I don't know the mechanics of mobs seeing through it or whatever. Is the 45-47 range still good enough for a monk to fool these things? I mean, how did people pull them pre-kunark when 50 was max level?
I've been in groups pre-Kunark, FD puller would pull the imps first, usually 2-3 or would come, the secondary puller would wait for the FD puller to tell him only 1 (or 2 if we thought we could handle it) were left over him then secondary puller would grab those and pull them back to the group. FD puller would stay FD during the fight, he could stand up to see if aggro was cleared (usually was) and if so would come help the group in the fight. We used this method to clear everything.
Oh yeah and FD working doesn't really have much to do with the mob. Being a necro I've FDed all over the place, even with red mobs right on top of me, and a monks FD is even better. Basically when you FD one of two things happens, 1) You feign death (you get no message, con something everything is indif), 2) YOu get the message "Rhadamanthus has fallen to the ground" this means your FD has failed, you're dead. If it doesn't give you the fall down message then NOTHING is going to attack you, everything believes you are dead because you successfully feigned death. You just fall down, everything knows you're just laying on the ground.
Exceptions to this: You successfully FD, but a caster mob had started casting a nuke or other spell on you before you actually FDed, that spell will continue to cast and when it hits you, the caster mob will realize you are not FD and this "breaks" your FD.
My Cleric is planning on going after this guy (for the boots) with a group of friends and guildies. From what I've read is that the hardest part is getting to him and Efreeti himself isn't too tough. My group I've planned on is this: 45 Cleric (me), 51 warrior, 51 bard, 53 chanter, 46 rogue, 48 mage.
I've heard that a monk is almost essential to this camp (single pulling, etc) but with a bard and enchanter there, could we handle crowd control?
If anyone has some suggestions on a strategy my group could use (learned from experience maybe), i'd appredicate it. Thanks.
From the picture, Djarn looks quite intimidating. When he popped for the first time, I was quite surprised to find that my favourite stun force would land 75% of the time. His lackey's who spawn in the room are fiercer then he is, with the Imp's resisting 90% of my Forces, and the elementals resisting 50% of them.
Guys i am seeing a lot of posts about people going in here with 2 groups. Is it really odd to go in and trash this area with one group?? This is the only way that i have ever seen it done. a lvl 60 *any class* can single pull the area, so take one lvl 60 with you, and everyone else about lvl 45-50+ We pulled him many times, saw many boots, no rings, and got lost of exp from pulling all the imps in the area between spaws. was really fun with just a druid for a healer when we were taking an imp and this guy popped, hehe, but even with only 6 people (2 mage, 1 dru, 2 enc, 1 mnk) there were no deaths.

Frooty boy is on a 22 min spawn timer with a ph (normaly a imp protector ) he can spawn as he feels fit not that he's nerfed its just a random spawn it 25 hours of camping i've had him spawn 18 times 15 boots and 3 rings , just keep at it he WILL spawn just pull imps and guardians, BUT MAKE SURE YOU KEEP A TIMER ON HIM!!! he or his PH will spawn like clockwork
