an ebony stalker  

Was after him on and off for two weeks. Finally got him to spawn.

He popped near the zone over from The Void. I would pop my caster merc, put her on passive and run around the zone gathering up all the snakes, spiders, wolves, bears and bixies. Turn on Ae Burn after I gathered up a considerable amount and then wammo kill them.

When he spawned, I followed his pathing to see how he roamed.

Here are the points he stopped at and pathed between:

p900, p677, p12 just west of the zone over.
p733, p159, p61
p652, n77, p6
p802, n295, 0

The last three are more or less out in from of the zone over and in the open area/and the one rill in front of you. So not a big pathing area from what I saw at this point.

Aight so after 3 days of looking for this tenacious wolf I finnally got him out of is den. TBH this is my last hunters for all expansions and this one was the most confusing name to find. Sarith was painful aswell but you just sit and wait and do things around the house... but this one needed attention. You got to keep looking for him. I would say that the wolfs are not the main PHer...I cleared the zone of all the wolfs and waited a hrs and went back flying the whole zones with track looking for a wolf but there was none. I was able to make the wood favor a type of animal. To confirm that making the wood favor the wolf would help making him spawn is hard to say but this is exacly what happened for the bixie solder(spawned x3 at the same spot each time give or take)and Window of the woods(x3 in 3 differents location) while trying to make him spawn. Take note that most of the animal roams and some of them seem to have a very large pathing range.

anyway... I got him to spawn dodging wolfs and killing everything else while the zone was favoring one type(the wolfs in this case)... I did kill a few wolfs here and there since all 3 toons was in 3 different location, 2 at each loc from this thread and my bard was roaming . Each of us had a wiz merc on AE nuke zerking everything that was coming hostile at us and he finally spawned next to a tree in between the 2 loc on this thread. Anyway I am going to call it for now and give you all my list of loc i gathered.

The X are the 2 loc in this thread where i had a toon covering the area... I was focusing on bard with selo and track so the other 2 char was not killing much especially the loc near Groomb.

There is always the possibility that we need to force a wolf PH to spawn from the other type to make him pop but like i said this named was the most confusing one to look for.... might be the same for the other type of animals and i just got lucky like the lage kodiak that jumped me not even looking for him

Before i go back to swarming with virus DS i will keep going for a bit more... seem that there is always 2-3 black. 2-3 shadow wolf spawning, those might be it?... If I am really stuck with no wolfs at all for over half a hrs then i will start the swarming.

I just killed this named. Minutes later, 3 'a black wolf' respawned, smells like multiple placeholders

This mob rare? Whats the deal I have spent 4+ days 4-5 hrs a day clearing every animal trash in zone and have yet to see this mob spawn. Is there a specific plaseholder? Or just luck of the draw on spawn......

Found him at +225 -330, about center of the zone, and dropped the wolfclaws.
