Lieutenant Kulthar spawns at -1780, -3025. I just had Shadowmane Champion spawn east of there at the huge tower with the huge arch. Perhaps he randomly spawns at any static spot in that camp?
Edit: Just spawned him again in the same loc; interestingly enough, both times my group spawned him was right after clearing the whole camp.
I just now killed Shadowmane Champion and he dropped a new item, along with the Elladrial's Cloak of Shining Silk above.
The stats on the item are as follows:
Wegar's Lantern of Sidewise Fearing.
Lore: This enchanted lantern was once the property of an Elven merchant who became tired of being attacked from the sides by wilk animals dogging his hourney along roads at night. He eventually commissioned a tinkerer and a sorcerer to come up with this solution - a talking magic lantern that can cast fear-inducing spell to left and to right.
Spindlecrank's Corrosive Fluid .II Spell Effect: Increased the damage of corruption-based spells by up to 25 percent. This bonus will decay on spells over level 80.
The final result stats are as follows (those stats that remain the same have been omitted):
Spindlecrank's Corrosive Fluid .V Spell Effect: Increases the damage of corruption-based spells by up to 35 percent. This bonus will decay on spell over level 80.
I have no idea what a corruption-based spell would be, or even if any class has them. Although the focus on this item, as listed on this site, states that increases spell damage, without naming which types of spells are included or excluded, I can assure everyone that Chromatic-based spells are not effected in the least. Despite the claims of this site as to what the focus works on (all spells, as implied), it does NOT effect Chromatic spells or Mana Recursion.
I can't understand why the focus should be corruption-based. No class has corruption-based spells, so why list the focus as such? It's the same as having no focus at all.
Addendum: I almost forgot. Like the lore states above, this item talks. Equip it, and it says, "I am happy to be providing protective light for your travels once more."
Take it out of your range slot, and it says, "I enjoy being your beacon of hope. Putting fear into the hearts of your enemies is fun too."
Shadowmane Champion is listed as level 84. Perhaps, once upon a time he was, but this is not the case now. He is level 80, as he conned white to me.
He's quite soloable, by the way. I used a charmed "a restless alligator," gave it my haste, Feedback and my two best runes, Brimstone Tenement and Rune of Erradien. I cast the mana recursion aura (as I had Rk II with the aura, but only Rk I with the single target buff). I'm not well-geared by any means, as most of my stuff comes from the Katta Merchants of TBS. But I do have a fabled wand that gives me 15% spell haste. I used Mind Oscillate, Strangling Air, Multichromatic Assault, and Arcane Noose. I used the Companion's Blessing AA (an Enchanter HoT that works on charmed mobs and on summoned pets), he is not stunnable, snareable, rootable or mezzable and he summons. Slows are mitigated to "slightly successful" on him...whatever that means.
As my pet tanked, I slowed, tashed, DoTTed and nuked. No spells had any trouble landing. My crits, for both DoTs and nukes, are maxed, both on the chances to crit and on the damage of crits.
The first time I killed him, my charmed gator easily survived to 24% health. The second time, I had a conspicuous lack of crits on my nukes, and he killed my pet and summoned, but I used Doppelganger, which gave me enough time to use Hastened Suspended Minion to get my Animation out. I got summoned again, but I made sure he was loaded with DoTs when I saw my charmed gator was going to die, so between the three DoTs and my animation, he didn't last long enough for me to fire off another spell.
If you face LK, start counting tents/stones: tent tent stone hut (2 mobs) stone temple bigger/taller stone temple: he spawns at this /loc and can be single pulled. /loc = neg 1782, neg 3023
Just for all of you that want to attempt to solo it like me, he cannot be snared / rooted. Does not summon. Isn't too bad I just didn't have a heal loaded and realized i was screwed after i got immune to changes in movement message lol. Now this is from a shaman's view.
