Twisted Shank
Kept wiping the sporali by the Free Trader camp and went afk to play on other toon. Heard sporali squealing and switched back to see my merc had killed the freemind gatherer. It dropped the cloak. Then I wiped the rest and a lone shaman spawned (freemind spawn) and I killed it and few minutes after the rest spawned and died. Another freemind spawned by itself and was dispatched (cloak). The rest popped and died. Single spawned another shaman then a freemind with the dagger. Kept killing it and it was the only one to spawn a freemind. None of the others after did. I am thinking it is a single ph for the freemind at least at that camp.
Roughly 18 min respawn time.

Also does it spawn off any shroom in the zone?
Sorry for being 9 months late, but I killed the fungus men one time and then he spawned. So, he can spawn anytime. It looks like I just got lucky after 1 round.

killed every sporali for 5-6 hours a day for 3 days and not even one freemind gatherer am i doing it wrong?

Me 62 (ranger) and my Merc tank took him today with ease.
I've camped this guy for about 5-6 hours now, I've gotten at least 15 spawns of the guy and all of them were cloak or belt. No post yet has even said they got the guy to spawn this much in a short time, and still no shank! I still have to evolve this crap, it's taking long enough...

Just downed this guy solo with my 66 necro. easy kill. However, conned light blue. That would make his level 62 or less

Three days. few hours a day no dagger. many cloaks and girdles. 2 plat farmer teams KSing at random times throughout the day

Was running around, gathering some junk to make the mechanoinstructions + Manual and noticed two of these guys up.
One had the twisted shank equiped. So I droped em both (75 gimpy necro). Was pretty easy esp since the others don't assist! Got the shank and the cloak. :)

Call it luck i had 2 pop at the same time both dead in about 1 min 2 cloaks and no dagger...very unlucky day...=-p

I just spent some time camping him, he does not give any faction hits positive or negitive. all the other shrooms do, although i spent enough time killing creep reapers that after 6 hours of killing them they still look at me kindly

I just single pulled and killed every mushroom I saw... even the little Sporali ones.
After 40 minutes, "a freemind gatherer" spawned at n915, n580.
He is a roamer like all the others.
It looked like he was wielding a weapon, and sure enough he dropped "a twisted shank".
He was green to me... very easy fight... he spent most of his time casting so he didn't do much damage to me.
edit: 07JAN2007 - camped this a second time for 2 hours... no spawn.

Tried this as a 66 Bard (53 AAs). Camp takes a little getting use to... But I just pulled to the trader camp and chant kited from there.
To spawn the Freemind, I guess you have to clear out all of the other spores.
-The Protectors regen very quickly, so dispell them whenever they rebuff themselves with it.
-The Sowers/Gatherer's cast the most from what I've seen (aside from the freemind gatherer) Most of my resists are around 150-190 and I resisted most of its spells.
-The Shamans are annoying. Kiting them down to 50% HP, then they CH themselves isnt very fun. I just steer clear of these things. I spent at least about a half hour on one alone, and it never ran out of mana /shrug
It took about an hour, hour and a half to get this guy to spawn. Dropped the belt. Hopefully I can get the shank for my rogue later.
Anyway, this camp and anything in it should be easily soloable by the notable soloing classes anywhere from 60+. Just figure out how to split them, and you should be good.

The Freemind has spawned maybe 7-8 times at most and has dropped the belt three times, and the cloak for the rest (in addition to a few Sporali caps) Either SOE silently nerfed the drop, or I am just highly unlucky.

6 hours of camping yielded 2 cloaks, 2 belts and 1 dagger.. woot. not a tough camp. Soloed it with a 70 bst. Good to you all.

Was just wondering does this guy spawn if you don't kill the place holders and just wait??? Sure I can take him but I can't kill all the Sporalis and have them be kos to me and gang up on me... Been at the camp for a long while just sitting and waitin for him to spawn but still a no show...

This mob does not summon and is rootable/snareable he also does not aggro any other sporalis so must be on a different faction. Soloed him today was easy as killin a green mob in Corathus and he dropped the shank guess i got lucky he was up when i zoned in.

Outta an totally awesome boring **** camp of 10 hours after I got home from work after breaking my ankle. Needless to say it did not drop the shank. Was where the other people said the spawn accors, SW of freetrader camp.

Have been at this camp for 5 or so hours, 6 spawns so far all either cloak or waist item. He seems to be a random time spawn. i've had 2 at once and 1 after the other within 15 mins. but I have had him be a no show for 2 hours. Still camping and coming up on 6 hours and no shank.
no way hes lv65,was complete joke to kill with a 68 mage,probly more like lv60 at the most.

This guy is totally random, I farm this spot regularly. Sometimes ill go hours with out seeing him. Sometimes he will spawn 2 or 3 times on same cycle. The shank seems the same but on larger scale. I have gotten 2 in the last 2 days, but went over a month w/o seeing one before that.
Killed the sporalis for 6hours and never got him to spawn. After the first cycle I was even running over to the west side of the zone and killing the sporalis on that side too. I was hoping maybe he could pop off any of the sporalis in zone. The mobs are cake very easy for 70necro tacvi geared to kill both sets of sporalis before respawn I even had time to smoke in between cycles. I will prolly try again when I wake up the reward is worth a pain camp but if I don't see him tonight I prolly will not be back.

The one with the shank spawns about 5 times a day. You can usually get him to spawn pretty fast and sometimes you get lucky and 2 of em spawn at the same time. He has 8 PH which are the mushrooms that run up and down the slope by the free trader's encampment.

The PH for this guy is all the mushrooms right next to the zone in.
This mob seems perma-camped. Everytime I ask, there is always someone there. Worse yet camp stealing is somewhat rampant with occasional KSing when the freemind gatherer actually pops.
