Seems to be the common drop, as we have killed him 4 times, got 3 pairs of gauntlets and one staff.
He has a fairly painful AA poison, so I had a tough time dual boxing my cleric with my bard. pretty much had the start the bard attacking, singing one song, and focus on running the cleric. It's nothing super deadly as long as the healer is paying attention. PR wouldn't hurt either.
