Charm means YOU HAVE TO TAKE HIM AS PET and THEN do the handin .... he will talk as stated in the epic, and gives you the staffpiece!!!!

Few mobs along the way see invis on 7th level. Which was okay, 71 chanter has no problem killing mobs on any of the levels.
When I found him, I had gone up a spiral staircase in the center of a room, made my way to a dead end, making sure I was invis when I opened doors, and found him thru a door that was on my right. Charmed him easily. Did the turn in. Hardest part was keying up through all of the floors. Which wasn't hard. Just took some time :)

Any idea on the spawn time?
I was walking in tofs just to get rid of some keys. Got up to him and he was a bit of suprise.
Hits for 200 350 max. No stuns landed, I used two heal pots, two of my own heals, and popped the steadfast servant. Gave me 3 yellow of aa exp.

i had walked into the room without invis up and was able to stand for a min and con him before retreating

Just did this turn-in last night.
Had a friend key me up to the 7th floor. Used Stasis to mez the Advisor, tash'd, charm'd, and did the turn-in. He doesn't see invis either.

I was wandering around the tower today when I ran into this guy on the top level. First I was completely taken off guard that there could be anything in the tower that was Dark Blue to me (68 Magician). When I conned him, he Scowled Ready to Attack. Since I wanted to see what was past him, I sent in my Air pet. He was tougher than I expected. Took most of my mana to blast him down and heal up my pet, but went down just the same.
Unfortunately, he did not drop anything - at all. Cheapskate!

i was doing good collecting loot in the tower until i bump'd into this guy, spent the whole day in the tower then this jookie kills me in less that 5 minutes,if he's a epic mob then he should not be able to to attack unless u are doing the epic quest, kinda lame to try n fight him if u have no reason to, or be attacked by him anyways have fun
he hits rather slowly but hard. A rune bought me enough time to send of 2 dots. then just tapped tanked him down
he hits for between 500-1000 in the form of 2 hits that are 300-500 each. highest hit was 586
he bashes for around 110 ish aswell.

he did miss a bit aswell and was no real issue tap tanking tough potions wouldnt be a bad idea ;) was a fun refreshing fight to summon up a low level zone.
he hits for between 500-1000 in the form of 2 hits that are 300-500 each. highest hit was 586

Yea I tend to kill KoS mobs that agro me too but feh, small detail right?
I bumped into Advisor Svartmane with my MM baby 70 beastlord while getting him his Tserrina key. He doubles for mid 400s, tosses a mid 100s kick or two here and there, and didn't really gauge his HP. It took a while (factoring in crap equipment, low skills and pet mainly doing the dirty work), but he got down to around 18%, started walking, and fell to my pet. He didn't drop anything, which is understandable for a 1.5 epic mob. Around 29 minutes later, he repopped back at his spawn point, which is facing you as you open the door near the top floor zone exit.
Only thing I wonder... why was he placed in a low to mid 50s zone, with a standard mob agro radius? He should have been at least made not to attack anyone unless jumped (or at least have his agro radius lowered so people would have to breathe in his face to agro him), as he can easily chew apart a mid 50s group in no time flat.

Regarding the chanter 2.0 epic, you're supposed to charm this guy and give him something. I assume any chanter heading to the top level would know not to kill him, but I've seen more embarrasing mistakes :) Being a necro, I had no interest in keeping this guy alive when I bumped into him while ******** around in ToFS. Fairly easy fight - sent pet in then dotted. He eventually summoned me and roughed me up a bit, but all in all he lost. Didn't resist anything.

70 ranger soloed this guy..root and shoot,but be warned he DOES SUMMON.he did all thourgh till he got down to about 15% then he turned so make sure to snare him.Used my potions to keep healed during fight,his summon is timed enough where you can get dots and arrows on him and then back away till the next summon so he summons slow.Didnt drop anything for me.BTW..he does not show up on track,my track is maxed but thats without the advanced AA track.

Enter TOFS. At level 66 everything was green and actually had alot of fun clearing the lower floor with my pet. Find somebody with a key and go over to two spectre's on the other side of the room from where you entered. Kill or walk by the spectre's and go to the left. Have either yourself, or the keyholder click on the mirror on the left side. Welcome to the 7th floor. Walk straight ahead and open the door, and there he is.

I 2-boxed this guy 03Feb2005 as a Ranger/Cleric combo; both were level 66 with 91/61 AAs respectively and their gear is average - a few ornate pieces and no Time or even EP level gear.
A friend of mine reported some mobs hanging around TOFS that he'd never seen and asked me to check it out with my crew when I had the chance. I had never been above the wedding floor so I figured I'd explore a bit. We killed the Vampire Genie looking guy and got his key and were moppinig up the seventh floor when we came across this guy. We were invis at the time so he didn't aggro. We found the room with all the mirrors in it and I parked my cleric there.
I returned to the room and he conned indifferent when invis, KOS when vis so I pulled with a snare which stuck on the first try. The cleric did a Mark of Kings/Retribution combo and threw a hammer pet at him. Earthcaller had him slowed after the first few swings. He's not very resistant, especially for a Dark Elf. Everything stuck to him that was cast and I didn't have to burn weaponshield. I did use GotF for a little haste. I'd say that the person who said he had 32k hps is about right. He didn't often hit for anything over 550-ish. He was slowed so quickly I couln't say whether he doubled, tripled, or quadded. He got a few rounds in that did a lot of damage, but the Cleric only had to CH once, and cast the level 62 HoT (600/tic) 3 times. He went into flee mode at around 10%, but his sorry *** was snared and he got nowhere. Corpse was empty, so he poofed in half a minute.
Check on Allah's to see what he was and I was glad I managed to kill him if he indeed is level 63. Hope I didn't ruin any Enchanter's turn in that night; sorry if I did.

Last night in the Tower of Frozen Shadow, a few us went in to find the rogue Epic 1.5 ground spawn.
We went one floor too high and couldn't figure out how to get off the top floor. Our group member that had the keys for all the floors had gated, thinking we were on the right floor. The door opposite Advisor Svartmane would not open for either rogue. So we did what was natural. We killed Advisor Svartmane.
It was a VERY close fight, with both rogues using all the disc's that were up including Duelist and Counter Attack. Anyway, after killing Advisor Svartmane the first rogue that opened the door opposite to Advisor Svartmane got a message saying that the Tower of Frozen Shadow floor 7 key was added to their keyring.
After that, we were able to zone out and enter ToFS and go up to any floor we wanted without camping the individual floors. Yes, the ToFS Master Key was added to the key ring after killing Advisor Svartmane.
It was a very unexpected development.

I just took out Adviser Svartmane and none of my 3 toons had the master key. After killing him the only toon I had who could open the door was my ranger who had the 7th floor key, I didn't get any message and when I zoned back in and clicked left mirror it said I didn't have the correct key and I had to run all the way back up top to continue camping Tserrina Syl`Tor.
Almost forgot to add, he doesn't see invis and while invis you can click the door as many times as you want and he won't see you.
Logs from second attempt: (respawn is under 1 hour)
Total HPs: 32,000
Average punch: 313 dmg
Average kick/bash: 120 dmg
Took me 7 minutes with no dmg shield or attack buff on ranger and all enchanter did was slow and all cleric did was heal.

Exploring tofs, found this guy and gave him a shot unbuffed, hit me around 550, I lifetaped him a couple times and got him to about 80% and then he trippled 500,400,500 and wiped me. He does not have a lot of hp, I imagine he can be killed with two.

This mob doesn't see invis and can be mezzed (I used Bliss). Should help a bit with the epic piece turn-in.

7th floor up the spiral stairs first right and he is in that room behind the door (room that has the one locked door that leads to the outside)
I was invis but he still saw me, word of morell worked without tash but I tashed him anyways =) max hit me for 608 but he only got 3 hits off. I put up arcane, zeb, and uproar just to be safe. slowed no problem. Good luck

Hopped in to tofs me 56DRU(Lebwen) and 55DRU(Littlekill) went with NEC65(Sythran) Sythran's plan was to just tear up the zone for a bit on the top flor and get us mid 50's some xp. Without thinking we opend ed the first door and this is what happend.
