Took him out last night. 105 rog 84 ranger friend with me. The Silence and Atk debuff are still incredibly frustrating. Dropped Cloak and belt for my baby ranger
I just killed this raid NPC on FV Server. Group consisted of:
Snowclouds 85 BST 4.5k AA's / 65k HP / 5.8K armor class - Main VoA Geared - Pet fully elegant defiant geared Box 90 Shaman "Grandfathered Account" 1k AA's - Pet fully elegant defiant geared. Box 90 BST "Grandfathered Account" 1k AA's - Pet fully elegant defiant geared. Box 90 Cleric "F2P" 250 AA's Box 90 Druid "F2P" 250 AA's
I cleared the room; Set up Cleric & Druid out of Agro Range; Put Box Shaman & Box BST on /autofollow, /assist Snowclouds, /pet attack; Casted Main BST Paragon + Shaman's group HoT; Tagged with Snow's slow spell for agro; Engaged; Casted Snow's & Box BST Attack of the Warders, Shaman's Spirit Call; Dropped Snow's & Box BST meele disc, then Snow's "Group BST Alignment"; Mob was dead by the time paragon faded just under 2mins (shamans hot had already faded). No DD heals were needed or casted. Mob dropped rune & neck item.
Duo'd with an 85 Zerker and a t5 cleric merc. Can't swing much at all with the slow, but riposte disc, volley, overpowering frenzy etc are plenty to get this guy down to 84. Its pretty quick from there.
Just killed him with 85 Druid & T5 Cleric Merc w/ boxed 82 Sham and T3 82 Tank Merc. Fight took 30 min or so lol. That mana drain is killer otherwise woulda been less time. Was in zone for Girplan for sham 2.0 and figured give it a shot. =P
Mercenaries are immune to his AEs, including Zun'Muram's Terror.
I just 3 boxed him, 85 Monk, 81 Sham, 74 Rog + 2 Cler mercs and 1 Tank merc. First 26% of fight was pure merc action, once he starts his Rage AE, went full dps and cured Aura of Fatigue with sham.
Raided him today and learned a few things. Our new strat is: 1. Clear the entire room, make sure all have levi 2. Get all casters at max casting range 3. Have the melee waiting to kill repops that agro 4. Burn it down to 84%, pets are a +, including clr hammers, swarm pets and normal pets. have any class that can cast a Dot/DD is damaging mob, and get casters a mod rod That was as far as we got, because tank ahd to log, but next time we will try killing after 84%. After that would just be a normal fight, use discs early cause endur drain.
For the hell of it i 6 boxed him today. I started by clearing front half of room to get in cast range of zmv. I took my time debuffing while building up agro with the pally. Then i took him down to 87% and cleared the back half. When he went active he g'flux'd and my 2 gimper toons failed to resist and were pushed back into some repops so i evac'd them (should have left lev on!!).
He flurries but his dps seems to vary wildly even beyond that. At times i was spamming heals like crazy and other times HoT was enough.
So am i to understand that after 84% he stops casting Zun' Muram's Terror and starts on the Rage of the Zun' Muram? cuz i died so fast after he did that i couldn't tell. Any strategies for this dude are appreciated.
After he can Move at 84 health can he be pulled out of the room into the hall so a raid only has to deal with 3 respawns in the hall and not a dozen in the room ?
I don't know if he was bugged or what was going on, but we took him out for the first time laat night and Rangers were useless using a bow because none of them could shoot it. Had one just sit there the entire time with autofire on and he never shot a single arrow. But they were fine using melee. Is that normal for that fight?
i dont think that was it, u probally got hit with his zun'muram's terror ae. it decreases atk speed 95% so anotherwords it would probally show u as melee attacking but with a bow it would let u attack once every long time.
We noticed the same immunity last nite. The rangers were well outside AE range and still could not "fire" on him at this time. Further, his silence/slow is a single target cast, not AE, so there has to be more than this effect in play.
Immune to arrow damage confirmed, like the mummy in the nerfed MM, Silence is a 5 sec recast, not 15 sec. Beserker thrown axe still works and Mages can bolt him outside of Silence range. Positioning is key.
He's in the tunnels in his own big, open room near the druid and beastlord epic fights. As far as his hitpoints are concerned, I have 1.2 damage million parsed from 85% of his health, so that would put him at approximately 1.4 to 1.6 million hitpoints depending on DoTs casted (as in, I have no clue the DoT damage done in that particular fight, making it somewhat hard to pin-point his hitpoints exactly). He flurries roughly for 2200s putting about ~1000dps on the tank, depending on the tank (some are better than others, heh), but if you're used to Time gods, this is pretty cakewalk.
If you can take down Inny in Time, you can defeat Zun`Muram Volklana.
Start by pulling the murkgliders from his room, they don't hit too hard and dont have a ton of hp, your average murkglider. They respawn relitively quickly though so don't waste time. From 100% - 84% he is perma rooted and doesnt summon, at this time he also has a low range AE silence spell that lasts 5 mins. At 84% he unroots himself and starts to summon(bye bye wizards and rangers). He AE ramps and his AE nuke is not aviodable(rage of zun blah blah). Has a fair amount of HP. hits for something like 2.2k (can't really remember, only thrashed on me once) Burn him down quick, other wise you are gona get adds and the event is gona start to get iffy. Easy event for great rewards. Have fun!!
When melee charge in at 84% to dps, have them disc early (endurance drain ae) so they get the maximum amt of dps onto him before they die to the ae's or run out of End. Also gonna need mgb heals and paragons if you're trying him with a small force. Lowest I've seen it done was with 30 and that was tough.

The second stop on our evening of raiding last night. We defeated Battlemaster Rhorious and his crew first, then moved to Zun'Muram.
Our third attempt with a smaller raid force (about 33) and we beat this event. Our second attempt had mob to 1%. A great event and one that I am looking forward to doing again in the future.
Avoiding the aes and doing max dps is critical, mob has a significant amount of hps, but overall not that difficult, more of an endurance test than anything else.
We are an EP/GoD guild (just defeated Ikky 3 on Saturday, haven't got into Time yet) so while gear is useful, clearly its not critical to success here. It's more skill and strategy that are beneficial, as in most if not all events of this type.
