Hiya was doing 2.0 and just wanted to say it took me 7 spawn cycles to get the bloated to spawn .. Inbetween spawns (spawn cycles are 25min) i ran over and got the DN drops ran back to bloated killed PH'rs .. then ran and got my drops from the lightning dude in MPG .. then ran back to bloated killed ph'rs ..then i got a group together (my own box crew X6) and did a run thru Anguish got my Orb .. actually got 2 orbs got one for my bard also .. so even though i was waiting for bloated I did things inbetween that I could do.
also the School leader murkglider I had to hail the NPC froggie twice ... first time i did it and said ready i ran to the murkglider and killed it but it didnt drop the item i needed so i was like wtf . so then i read on these boards that if NPC was still up then the raid version of the school leader hadnt spawned yet .. so i went back to NPC and sure enough he was still there this time i said again i was ready and went back and killed him and he had my drop .. so not sure what happeded maybe sense a non raid version was already up he couldnt spawn the correct one but once i killed him then the raid version could spawn .. thats my thinking ..
also oh the discordling spiritseeker or fiend before you hail hudar to spawn the mob .. make sure you know way up to him .. I scouted area first and found my way up to his spot and cleared a bit .. then i hailed him and ran up to kill him easy peasy at 115...
think that is all .. rest of stuff from beginning to end was trivial at my lvl .. solo'd whole thing accept last 2 fights i had a tank merc jic but i really didnt need it ..

I was probably lucky with the spawn timer, but I Trio'd this with Tacvi/Anguish geared Monk/Brd/Shaman in Era.
I split the room up when i did the first trash clear and then just stayed ontop of spawns as they happened. When Girplan spawned I dragged him to the bottom of the stairs (Which is a 100% safe AFK camp area) and burned him. 600k HP according to parse.
Was able to malo / balance of discord and then spammed heals on shaman. He was pretty resistant to slows after that, and I had to use Harmony / Malosinia to reslow.
Upon death he spawns a chest with some decent 2.0 level armor.

I didn't notice it posted here, so I'll add that "Bloated Girplan goes on a WILD RAMPAGE!"
Shamans don't have fire spells, but necro fire dots landed just fine. I didn't have cold memmed on the shaman or I'd have tried that, too. Curse, disease, and poison were all resisted. So yeah, bring friends with fire spells or settle in for a longer fight than it needs to be.

I just completed this for Shaman Epic 2.0: L80 Shaman 2800 AA, best gear available plus T1 Tank Merc. (I actually boxed this with an average L77 Ranger and Healbot merc but in hindsight they probably weren't really necessary, probably shortened the fight from 7 min down to 4-5). Many thanks to previous posters as always, it helped me gear up properly for this.
The key things are (as confirmed by other posters and with some of my own additions):
Location +140, -1700 is correct
Bottom of the steps approaching the room is a very safe place to camp, no roamers from outside the room and well out of the way of room mob aggro range.
It can easily take 4-6 room clearances at 25 min per re-spawn to get this guy to pop. I did 4 room clears, left it for 24 hours and camped. When I came back he was up.
The first room clearance is the hardest, the mobs roam quickly within the room and if you try to single pull then one of two things happen: If its a Kyv archer you may get lucky and single pull him out of the room but the more likely result is that one of the fast roaming casters quickly roams into aggro range of the archer as he is chasing you out of the room. The caster will then just sit there on the edge of the room casting spells at you and very soon after the rest of the room roamers have been added. If you single pull a caster it just hastens the adds because it won't move out of the room for 20 seconds until it has cast a few spells at you, then see above. Either way be prepared for 4-5 moderately hard hitting mobs triggered within 10 seconds. An enchanter may have helped...
I can confirm what one of the previous posters said in that when the Bloated Girplan is up, you can stand near the threshold and just wait until he roams past the door (backing off when anything else passes). He chased me down the stairs and pulled nothing with him so it was a very easy extraction.
He may have a powerful mana DoT debuff but it never landed on my Shaman (forewarned is forearmed from this page :-) ). I was, though, disease resist 895/650 because of warnings on this page so the -350 resist on his AE had little impact. It landed on my Tank merc and the Healbot merc and sucked them dry, my tank didn't care but the healbot went oom very quickly. Nadox does work and if I had not been otherwise engaged I would have cast it more.
The only spells I got to land on it were the Shaman Malo and Turgur's AA's, nothing else apart from rabid bear poison bite. The occasional Bite of the Brownie might have worked and scrolled off but in general they didn't.
In terms of melee it didn't present myself (as bear), T1 tank merc, and dog with much of a problem. I kept the Tank up with HoT and the occasional direct cure topup. Took about 5 min and I was still on 50% primary mana.

Hey all, ok so I've been camping this stupid spawn for like 30 spawn cycles so far. I don't know if it's because after camping something so long (HATE TIMESINKS!) that you start to question yourself or not, but I noticed the following: Each cycle of 25 minutes there are 4 roamers in the room, which I assume are all PHs for the Bloated Girplan. However every 4 or 5 cycles I have noticed that only 3 spawn instead of 4. Is it possible that the missing 4th spawn on those cycles is supposed to be the Girplan? Thoughts?

I have run into this exact issue. The only thing i can think of is i had to say ready twice in NC because i was to slow getting to the Murkglider. Going to skip this drop for now and come back. hopefully getting another item will fix.

Soloed fairly easily, Level 81 Shaman with J5 Merc and pet, Tier 1 armor. I was unable to slow or malo it or even feral it, but just kept the merc and pet healed and used Talisman of Cougar... and it was dead after a 5 - 10 min battle. Was also able to miraculously pull it single out of the room by walking to top edge of the steps and it aggroed on me when it got close, the other mobs were apparently far enough away at the time.
This mob is located at roughly +140, -1700.

Soloed him lvl 90 shaman T4 geared with pet and J5 merc Tank, did infusion of faithfull , very easy fight .

LVL 80 in group gear.
PITA to spawn but it's not a hard fight.
Approx. 500,000 HPS
Max Hit 1196. Avg DPS on J3 Tank merc: 300.
Use Blood of Nadox when you or your merc gets the DOT. Radiant Cure works too in a pinch.

Cleared room 1x (all 4 mobs at once w/ tank merc - pet died) ... he spawned. Tried with just my team, went oom too fast .. brought some friends, killed it easily.
Next spawn .. another Bloated Girplan ... had already made the combine for epic so tried looting again to see if a chest would spawn, it didn't.

Just some usefull information about this fight. If you have infusion of the faithful use it the mana drain dot will not hit you. As this dot is the hardest thing to defeating this mob that makes it super easy.
I got him to spawn, after numeerous clearings of the room, approximately 25 over a whole week. We took him out with a 76 Pally, 76 shaman, 80 bst, 76 wizard box and 71 lvl cleric box. We also had the HP campfire up, and are of average gear.
When done we were oom, on all toons and low on health, but we succeded.

AND TRYING TO BREAK THE CAMP AS A SOLO SHAMAN...(PITA)
ASKING FOR HELP FROM YOUR GUILD TO SIT AROUND HOURS ON END TO MAKE NEXT TO NOTHING IN XP, WHAT A WASTE OF TIME.

We killed all the walkers and the room every 26 min and got it in 4 cycles. But seriously why would stay so long?? Just come back, find something fun to do.

Anyone else having trouble spawning this mob? Spent several hours, cleared PH's through at least 15 or 20 cycles & no Griplan. I know I'm in right place, as have done it before LOC +129,-1812, 54.

Duo'ed him with my paladin main and shaman twink. Very easy fight.
key to fight is to remove the dot thats on u. it overwrites kei, and can b removed by blood of nadox/the level 51 remove poision spell that shamans get.

Killed with 3 people today.. 75 Cleric, 75 Monk, 73 Shaman. Fairly easy fight.
just kicked his *** with 5 peeps, brad boxin a ranger 2 shammys and a cleric took about 12 minutes but we did it np :) although we were all outta mana 0% at tha end but can be done 1 grouped :) lood luck shmmys

I went and spawned this guy by solo camping his PHs... Hard to break the camp as a shaman solo... But once it's broken it wasn't that bad.
My shaman AC is 2180 and HP is 12k with max defensive AAs.
I got this guy to spawn after about 4 room clearings.
Tried to solo him just to see how hard he hits, yeah I knew I would die... Just wanted the max hit info for when I got a group or 2 together to kill him.
His max hit on me was 1255.... most hits were around 600-800. I was actually able to stay up for minute or so on just potion HoT, 1.5 click and self heals.
He does rampage.
Not sure if he quad hits... I don't think he did.
My shaman AC is 2180 and HP is 12k with max defensive AAs.

Mob was up when i did my 2.0 fights,now im hearing you have to keep killing normal room spawns till Girplan spawns.Anyone confirm this?

I can confirm that it has a PH in that room and will spawn evenutally. Did it for me today after about 5 or 6 room spawns.

Cleared room once today (2 kyv, 2 Ikaav) since I was not sure what room Druid earthshaker popped in. Girplan popped on the first respawn of the room.
