update*** /uptime = 2 days 12 hours, no pop yet. I'm starting to think the 19 hour pop on server /uptime is a lie or a mistake and he follows the 7 days -/+ 12 hours on server reset. will keep this updated.

fight was super easy with mercs, (used mercs and stayed off agro list cause mercs wont get banished to jail and stayed off agro list so i didn't get banished to jail and it worked great!!!) used 1 tank merc and 1 healer, "2 boxed" set 2nd toon as puller and ran in with me as main assist have merc get agro on all the mobs, then faded to loose Zun'Muram's agro so i don't get banished killed adds with bow then sat back and watched tank merc kill Zun'Muram gratz me on shard + Tongue + flag + key!
Perhaps a note for the Expedition to Tacvi after the fight: You have to jump back to the entrance to start the expedition and then you have to go completely through the whole zone to Zun's room again and then you can click the statue. And of course you can fight your way back after mobs repopped..... unneccessary stupidity....
no you don't there is another statue near the guy that starts the quest go straight out into the zone till you come to the first intersection turn left you will see a statue at end of hall at worst you have 4 mobs to kill. Also if you are in a raid formation with 6 or more people when you kill Zun you are automatically given the Tacvi raid when you kill him
Very easy for a 94/3k magician and j5 healer. Shrink + AoN to get out of prison worked tonight, August 12th, 2013.
As soon as I killed him, I got the "you need more people in your expedition" message, even though I hadn't clicked anything. I got some people in a raid because I was under the understanding that you had to enter Tacvi by clicking the statue in this room, but clicking the statue did nothing, with or without the signet on cursor. However, as soon as I clicked the door to exit to the main part of Txevu, it started a Tacvi expedition, and dude at ZI is offering to send me there whenever I want to go.
went in with caster merc adds fell fast. got sent to jail lost agro, ran back his hp refilled, repeat 3x. scratched head in jail. merc died in jail with me. i illusioned out agian cleared agro. switched to merc tank full ds casted mushroom pets and keep short term ds on merc, no more jail. last run took 3 min maybe? mushrooms where hitting for thier normal 10 hp but did not have spell damage turned on so i dont know if their spells landed. think i used one heal on tank.
Solo'd by a 98 SK, with most of the DPS provided by my pet. Plague of Klonda landed on him pretty consistently, so he may be weak to corruption based spells, possibly because they weren't in the game during GoD. That's pretty much it, aside from Leech Touch and Harm Touch. Had to be sure to keep the pet on him at all times to keep the event from resetting if I happen to be stuck in the jail. Goblin illusion provided a quick escape, just have to remember to recast the illusion when you rejoin the fight to save time. If ***** got low on health I'd recast pet and dismiss him right before I finished casting, so a new one would pop right up in his place. Fun fight overall, about 25 minutes. Dropped The Longsword of Execration, Shackles, Cape of Woven Steel, and the usual quest items.
Had a war with a t5 healer and a 100 mage who wanted to come along for the ride with a t5 healer. Wiz used improved twincast and 1 shotted all 6 adds with ethereals. 1 healer would have done to keep rogue alive who finished him off in like a minute.
Did this a couple of weeks ago and boy was it chaotic, but I was able to get the Tacvi signet on my first try. I think it's really all about group role delegation, if you don't have a someone to pick the jail cell locks.
My boxed group setup consisted of the following:
90 warrior (Convorteum + HOT tier 2/3 raid geared, 60k/6.8k buffless and no powersource) 90 T5 journeyman rogue merc (set to burn mode, auto-assist turned off, to generate aggro) 88 cleric (mostly the level 90 glowing armor things + items from 12th anniversary missions) 88 cleric merc (set to efficient, auto-assist)
As someone may have mentioned on previous posts, the key is to get the Zun's attention to the merc, as they can not get banished to the jail cells. I set my main (WAR) as the main tank, main assist, and puller, then initially settled my group near the side hallways where the jails are located. Pulled the Zun and his little friends into the hallway.
Phase 1 - deal with the centaur adds Tagged the Zun and his guards in the hallway. Initially I had aggro on the two headed beast, but my rogue merc soon had the top of his hate list with burn mode after issuing an assist. Once the merc had top aggro on Zun, I switched targets to the two guards and dealt with them, while continuing to focus heals on the rogue merc (who was still focused on Tkarish). Once the guards were down, I started the next phase.
Phase 2 - kill the ritualists While the Zun is distracted by my rogue merc, I quickly ran down to the ritualists area and finished them off one by one, while continuing to focus healing efforts on the rogue. This part was actually the messiest since my warrior was constantly getting summoned by adds. The tricky part is getting aggro on all the adds, except the Zun (harder than it sounds, really), and positioning all characters so that they are in healing range. Kill the ritualists and all adds. If you're able to get past this phase, it's almost a guaranteed win.
Phase 3 - burn down the boss Took out my fabled WAR weapon with the pet proc on it (Fabled Obsidian Battle Sword) and let the pets do the work, while the rogue tanked the boss. I tried to place a reverse damage shield on the Zun, but everything was resisted. Anyhoo, 7 minutes later, the Zun was dead and I can now visit my favorite raid zone... :)
I can confirm that this (both Whisper Wind, and instant cast illusion) doesn't work anymore =( and before you ask, yes I know what I'm doing, I've illusioned through many doors
Ive tried whisperwind on my necromancer(level 85,2100aa)and the monk ability Neshika's blink, neither of them could get me through the jail cells. Instead I was splatted up against them while those things tired to kill me. I actually cleared the 1 room of those ghosts with my monk(level 85,2400 aa),and my merc died twice doing so. It was in vain though as the next time he banished me to the other cell! When I got out of that,finally, he sent me back to the first and it re spawned already. I don't like contradicting anyone,but Ive tried it two days straight at least 20 times both blink aa's maxed out and I cannot repeat the "getting through the cells strategy" with those particular abilities. If anyone can confirm that this ability works for that,please post about your experience.
Indeed I had no luck with whisperwind either, my trick which I have used in vex thal before that works perfectly is using amulet of necropotence, just hug the door, walk towards it click it (AoN), then remove the illusion buff, most of the time you will be through if not recast 1 more time and bam, I use this on all my toons for doors all the time and its flawless. I also made it with click invis that had casting time, but in this event you need to be quick if you dont want the spirit to pound you so amulet of necropotence is quite useful in this matter.
Scornfire is pretty well known for using some...extra-curriculars...you won't be able to mirror how he does things unless you're finding the same hacks.
I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you're referring to someone with a similar name...i've never used a hack in my life.
As for the whisperwinding it's the same as illusioning through doors, you have to be right up to the door/cell bars and be partially running when you click whisperwind to get through
Solo'd Zun Muram on my 85 Necro, 3310 AA 37100 hp/39500 Mana
Started off by procing Chaotic Power off my Eye of Zomm (<3 holgresh elder beads) then ran in and popped spire/CoA robe/Cataclysm, sic'd my pet on zun and the inquisitors while i burned down the ritualists, killed them fast enough to keep from getting any adds then moved on and killed the inquisitors...leashed out to med then the fun began. Zun Fight took roughly 15 mins in itself and consisted of me chaining swarm pets, dotting him with Putresence/Putrefaction (Before any noobs go off, corruption spells were added post GoD and they DO infact land on Zun) and healing my pet, merc went oom around 20% and i put it inactive and popped fortify companion/companions blessing to give her some med time while i patch healed...the most annoying part was getting banished to the cells, i utilized Whisperwind to get me through the door every time(This works on any door that you can illusion through).
Used 3 Cataclysms through the fight to speed it up, thus allowing me to end with around 15% mana and with bloodmagic still gtg...total fight was roughly 22 mins
Just killed with 85 pally(tower+) and alt 85 bard(group tier5), tank merc and cleric merc. and I have to say this was so intense that it made it worth it. Tried so many different ways to kill Ritualists and after about 5 hours I finally got all of them down in 1 go. once the Ritualists were down I killed the 2 ixt guards, then leashed and med up to full. When I engaged Zun with tank merc the adds downstairs did not agro/come to his aid. There were about 6 of them down there. merc went OOM so I started healing about when Zun was at 25%.
All in all was so much fun getting the key and BiC piece for both. GL on him if you try 8)
Time Lord Kravine Pinkdaddy <Descendents> 85 Paladin of Mith Marr(Saryrn)
First try: Just used cleric mercs, tried to offtank Zun`Muram and the goats with the SK and the monk worked down the Ikaavs. Failed due to banishes. I didn't have a rogue to pick the doors so I was using the illusion trick to get through the doors, worked well except it was to chaotic and was never really under control.
Second try: Used a warrior merc on Zun`Muram and it worked like magic. Since they cannot be banished. Offtanked everything with the Sk besides Zun`Muram, worked it all down and then the slow grind to bring down Zun`Muram.
The new fabled pet weapons work very well on him, I only poped one cleric merc on the second try and it was OOM due to Wantons but I kept the warrior merc up easily with the shaman.
Finally got my Signet of Command, will make boxing Tacvi easier...
Ok just to be clear, you STILL NEED Zun'Muram's Signet of Command to request the tacvi instance (16-04-2009) (also need a raid to request it, just do 2 groups doesn,t matter how many but need a raid)
How we did this: We had 4 people total : the group was made out of 1 mage 1 ranger 1 rog and 1 shammy. We are all solteris+geared. We just trained there, died, let the rogmerc rezz uss and buff up. I have keys from Champion(needed to acces High priest event) and High priest event (also needed!, not rog lockpickable) We went in to the right (hall with prison 2) Heres how we did it : We went in, event started, Slayed the ikaavs first (4 of them and they summon mobs more anoying then dangerous) Then we killed the 2 goatadds (THEY DO NOT RESPAWN if event doesn,t reset) then the ranger tanked Zun`Muram Tkarish Zyk while shammypet and magepets beat it down slowly. The tricky part is he Banishes everyone who has aggro on him (1 banish per 2-3mins) He banishes people to prison 1 and prison 2. You need either a CoTH out of there or a rog needs to open the door so u can run out and back to the event. We had rog run between cells if mage got banished (witch seemed to be a lot since she had maindmg, ranger was tanking so it couldn,t be the aggro). If u stay in the cell longer then 10-15secs several undead spawn, they are green and i resisted most of the procs but they can kill you real fast. You can kill em if u are real well geared but last time i ended up in there i had a discordtower geared pally with me and we barely made it + that still doesn,t get u out of the cell. the undead are leashed to the cell. So the mainthing is : Burn all the adds down to a crisp, then Petdmg Zun`Muram Tkarish Zyk down and make sure u have a rog/mage in there who pais attention :)
Mage and shammy died a few times in the cells but got rezzed/called.
Did this a few weeks ago with 3 players boxing a total of 8 toons.
One thing most strats fail to mention is that you can leash this event in stages. You can charge the room, burn down 1 ikaav, then everyone sprint out of room into the hallways at the sides. We used the doors behind the ikaav to the south.
Once all of the group / raid is assembled outside in the hallways, ZM will wander back onto his podium, but remain agro on whoever had agro before leash. It's important not to FD or Fade, that makes the event reset.
If any adds popped, they can be pulled outside the room into the small tunnel leading down to the hallways. If fought in the tunnel, they wont cause ZM or the goats to warp / leash.
Can repeat this as many times as needed. We killed 1 ikaav at a time, then leashed to south hallway. Pulled adds to tunnel and disposed of them. Once all the ikaav were dead, we used the same tactic to kill each goat. Once ZM was alone, we charged, killed and looted. Without his adds he is a pushover.
He mainly banished whoever was highest on agro (almost always SK maintank), but very rarely frequent enough to cause trouble, even though we only had one rog with enough skill to open the jails.
We played around with this event for a good 8 hours before we nailed it. Once we figured out how to retain agro on ZM, we did not see any ikaav or goat repops at all. We only saw ikaav repops when event reset.
we are planning to do this (65 mag, 65 nec, 65 cleric, 80 mag, 81 mag, 76mag and all our mercs so 4 healers and 2 tanks (tank only for adds)) for the 65 mag get the gemstone of dark flame... me ^^ so we wonder if pet get banished if we could summon them to us or if we have to expect any problem with that.
done with 13. war, 2 bst ,shm , cleric , 2 rng , mage, enchbot, clrbot , rogbot ,bardbot, magebot.
was hectic finding a workable plan but once we got our plan fitted was able to do it without a death.
delegate the rog and bard to a cell.
bst's kill all ikkavs but 1 while me-war keep goats busy. the 2 rng kept zmtz busy. then killed goats then zun . got no mastrung to spawn before mages and bsts pets had zun to 30ish . killed off last ikkav and let the pet classes do their thing.
Some posts on here earlier mentioned for Wiz to blaze the mob, must have nerfed it cause mana blaze is resisted now. confirmed tonight on fight, so just go full burn on trash and keep a low mana fire nuke to proc pyro on him :)
In order for player spells/abilities to land on Zun it must be Unresistible. So for example the Monk level 61 and 69 Disc's will land. I think at one point in time Manaburn was unresistable but was changed in revamp, could be wrong.
What are the average hits for each of the mobs for this script? Is this a timed event? How often does Zun banish the tanks? How often do the snakes spawn adds?
Did him last nite after guildies killed the ritualists b/f getting the pet. It was a messy kill we had about 30 people left since we had no Charmed pet dps.
