Unslowed you might be able to solo one of these if you are elemental geared and buffed. They hit fast and in the 240-250 range. My 60 best alt, ornate geared, self buffed with virtue, need 1-2 druid CH's to finish 1 off. (I was tanking along side my warder, no pet cleric here) I watched 1 unslowed almost kill my 65 rogue friend with nearly 8k in hps. Had to CH him twice. These are kiters and slowing class spawns. A shaman could solo these easy. Mostly I see enc's, druids, and wizzies doing them.
These are for a quest if you get 4 essences you turn them into someone (sorry dont know name) and they give you a 1hb weapon 14dmg 23 dly nice stats and a 170ish dd but problem is getting the essences... My friend got 3 in 15 mins and didnt get the last one until 3 days later lol. Also, these are all PH's for a named sorry dont know her name either lol and she drops a nice druid monk and bstlord hat, 20 HP aug and a meele ring
I don't think that's correct. The one time I went through The Grey, to Scarlet Desert, I was invis the whole way until just outside the Scarlet Desert zone-line. There was a bunch of skellies out there, & I *know* my Invis didn't drop; they saw right through it, or at least one of them did.
There are indeed mobs in the grey that see invis, but you usually have to be on top of them before you get aggro. Many of the skellies there see invis, not all but many do.
As the topic may suggest, I had some problems pulling a quad of these things as a 64 wizard. #1: They resist snares like you wouldnt believe. #2: I had a couple of issues involving stonemite adds, complicating things a bit. #3: After rounding them all up, and landing a successful snare on all of them, they seemed to wander off in different directions every once in a while. I pulled them to the left if their spawn point, to the open area, where they behaved better (but not ideally).
If you decide to be brave, and attempt a quad, please post your results, especially if you find a better pathing area.
Post my results? Level 58 wiz, dead as a doornail. Dunno what a doornail is, but you get the idea. I've got 250 int with KEI, and an extra 375 mana from my gear. Didn't need to die, but I accidentally rightclicked my abscond, and well... Been quadding constantly since lvl 38, so I fancy myself fairly competent. When pulled with T-staff, these mobs don't path consistently - they all zig-zag around apparently at random. Creates difficulty getting AOEs to hit all of them. I think I got 3 in one shot, but usually only 2 - they just don't stick together and cooperate. I read a post on Graffe.com where a 64 wiz quadded these easily, but I don't see how you could do it without a massive mana pool.
These are great AA at 65 and easily soloable by a cleric =D. Load up those undead dots and dot rot like those silly druids, 355 a tic and these buggers go down fast. Plus a named pop in the camp with an alright pure melee ring and dru/mnk/bst hat.
Ok for you number crunchers...I clocked the low level ones at having 7420hp and the higher dark blue ones at about 8.5k hp. They typically hit between 90 and 200s. The camp is on the middle island denoted by several pillars. Quite a few mobs in camp, enough to keep a small group busy forever. It's best to sit on the north side of the spawns near a square slab, no wandering mobs from behind or the hills. Also plenty of room to move around there.
These are not level 60, some are light blue to me at 65, but most are dark blue - so would guess 45-50 as rough level range, they are under con though.
