Soloed this for a guildie on Mangler TLP as a 65 SK with 250 AAs, 10k HP 825AC.
Some takeaways, he regains HP crazy fast when "running" so be prepared for that. Also, when he casts Slumber, he doesnt attack you so this is yet another chance for him to regain HP. Additionally, the 1500 DD spell can be cast multiple times in a row so try to maintain full health at all times in case he nukes you sequentially.
Overall, a fun fight. I almost died to the sequential nukes but lifetaps always prevail.
I was a 68 Berserker wife had a 75 chanter on Phinigel. We were able to take him down but it was not easy...
He spawns at -355, -1438, -254. Basically east of the island. He runs at 70 percent health. He ends up NE of island. He runs at 30 percent health. He ends up NW of island.
He will poof if you kill him while running. When he runs, let him. Attack again when he stops running. Best to let him do his two runs and then kill him. Hopefully this will stop his corpse from poofing after 30 seconds.
He can mezmerize He can stun He has a 1500 hp damage proc.
Did this today with my 66 mage and cleric merc. Spawned right at 11:00 game time. Resisted sonic blast and tempest every time. He only seem to cast slumber once at start of fight and once each time he moved. Was unable to resist it. Gear wise I have elaborate/intricate nothing special.
I had no issues at all. Just let him run when he was at 70 and 30. Pet did most of the work as for some reason i could barely land my nukes on him even with debuff.
Anyways my 51 berserker is 1 step closer to his epic.
I started my epic and will becoming here so I thought I'd summarize all the good stuff.
Spawns at 11pm game time and stays up all evening and morning till 1pm in the afternoon. Times can change it seems.
Get at least 1 point in Alcohol resistance.
He spawns SE of island He runs at 70 percent health. He ends up NE of island. He runs at 30 percent health. He ends up NW of island.

just soloed this mob for my zerker's epic with my 80 ranger 12.5 hps unbuffed (16.5 buffed. and .. this mob is a wussy... didnt got below 75% hp.. no pots used... and it went down fast... pita when he runs and stuff but so cake fight.. after dead camped to zerker and looted axe. corpse timer is 30 mins.. so if u have both toons int he zone should be np at all.
He Has spawned at 11pm and despawned at 1pm.. Seems there is a 10 hour eq time where he goes into hiding and then comes back out at 11pm game time and repeates cycle. Hope it helps. And might clear up some confusion of body diappearing upon death. So be that the strategy aspect was done correctly. You must kill and let it run at 70% and once again at 30% and then can finish off for a 30 min decay timer on Praklion.
Solo'd him with 65 PoTime geared, 9600hp (buffed) monk. Had to use 2 potions, all discs, mend etc. Wasn't even planning on killing him, was bringing my shm over to duo, thought I'd test out the Praklion first. Anyhow, had to start each of the 3 rounds with him fully healed. So brought him from 100-70, he ran ... 100-30, he ran ... 100-0. So pretty much killed him two times. My only mistake was using riposte disc on 2nd round. Had I saved it for the 3rd round I might not have had to use potion. Was only buffed with tenacity and haste. Resisted all his spells except slumber (mez), which he landed only once per round, so 3 times. And fought him underwater as the script warranted. Imo easily soloable by any smart melee 65+. If I recall he was unstunnable from my Staff of Transcendence.
70 druid, 63 cleric, 67 pally, 70 ranger. had no issues other then i (the druid) was tanking the entire time. the mez does suck ***, but he would attack me, break my mez, id start healing, then by time clerics mez wore off i would be re mezzed then she could heal.
overall good fight, he regenned to at least 50% each time he ran, was not fun
Howdy, Boxing 70 Shaman 4khp, 70 Ranger 6khp base (gimps inherit the world!), I had mixed results. It took me four tries over the course of a day to get it done.
K, so I hadn't read up on the drunk proc, so I spent the next hour getting both toons to 150 in AT, hoping that would be enough.
Attempt 2:
Same as first, this time with AT 150. Same ending.
K, so I cried under my pillow for another six hours.
Attempt 3:
Pretend my shaman is a beastlord and pet tank it. Now this would have worked if my 67 pet would hit for more than 10 per attack. I dont know what the deal is there, but it seems to be a mitigation on pets, dunno if beastlords experience that at all. Well finally I got stunned at the wrong time, pet flopped, and so did I. I didn't get drunk that time though.
K, so at this point I started pulling out my hair. I was going to do this OR ELSE!
Attempt 4:
Change from 67 pet to 61 pet for arguably better tankage and add in ranger ranged dps. This is where the fun begins. Somehow i had shammy too close and got drunk over time. Ranger was far enough back and pet didnt go down, so we made it past the 70% retreat. Wheh. Ok, so then i decided i needed to regain mana, so let the thing regen to full hp and engage at point 2. Sent in pet and burned TS with ranger. Shaman was pretty sloshed, but miraculously got a few heals off on pet and made it to the 30% retreat, which was actually around 25% for me because i was still autofiring with the ranger. Shaman then got summoned as pet drew aggro at point 3. Dunno what was up with that. Soooooo... with Praklion at 25% ranger engages melee style, draws aggro, and Weapon Shields. Praklion is at 15% when WS wears off, and cruise control in ftw.
All in all I learned a few things, first you'll wonder where the already small shaman pet dps went, second pet tanking really is the way to go. A mage would own this, as does a beastlord (so i've read). It really is fun to work the strategy...
spawns SE of island under water (presumably at 11pm game time)
after a certain % health (somewhere around 70%) he'll run to an area NE of the island, under water (regardless of where you pull him to, he runs there)
after another % health (somewhere around 30%) he'll run to an area NW of the island, under water. Kill him there. 30min timer on corpse.
Just took this guy out, let my pet tank the whole thing in fear of getting to close for a AE to land(solo on my 70 beastlord), didn't have a tracker so I had to wonder around awile to find it(found him at the bottom directly east of the merchant on the island), resisted everything he had except the stun, AEs seem to have a decent range(my resists were--161PR, 278MR, 255DR, 241FR, 238CR, and 148 Alchol Tollerance) found him at 11PM game time, killed him at 3AM game time, the corpse didn't poof and he didn't depop. Not sure about the non summon version, I got the summoning one lol Hope this info helps. Gratz my 51 zerker :D
I wanted to post my guild's experience with Praklion because it took us awhile to figure it out and none of the posts here really seemed to help much. We are not a Uber guild, just a small family guild. As such we only had 11 peeps (some not from guild) with average lvl of 62. So if you can 2box him or solo him go for it. If you are like us though and have to do him mini-raid style here is how we finally killed him.
Start on the island in the middle of the zone. Have your tracker (we used bard cause she could take more of a beating than druid) find Prak and pull him to your raid on the island. Fight him till he starts to run at 70%. When he runs have everyone turn attack off and go swimming, following him until he stops running. If you do not follow him then when he stops running he regens back to 100% health very quickly. So follow him when he runs.
When he stops running start attacking again as quickly as possible right where he stands (so you'll be fighting underwater). When he gets down to around 30% he's going to start running again. Stop attacking and follow as before. When he stops this time start attacking him again and go full out and kill him. Your Berserker will now have 30 seconds to loot his epic drop.
We tried mutliple other ways and had his corpse poof instantly 3 times before doing it this way and finally getting our Berserker his drop.
Solo'd this mob with my 68 BST, was a fun fight. Thank god for those new healing pots ^_^. Yay for my zerker! Dont forget to stop attacking as he swims thru the waters. at 70% and 30% pets can stay on him, it doesnt effect it.
Did this tonight with myself (70 ranger), 70 bst, 55 zerk, 60's bard and cleric. Bard died kinda early and we weren't expecting him to hightail it so fast but i was able to track him and shoot him while swimming. had to stop twice to tank meanwhile losing the rest of the group. i'm just semi time geared and was raid buffed with 9.5k HP's. i only lost a bub of health the whole fight without any heals. the BST pet doing dps while mob was on the move helped a lot.
hardest part of the event was getting the zerker to the corpse :)
Ya I must agree on your method of pet chasing for re-aggro. I took a group of 6 of us 3 days ago, lvl 64 clr., lvl 63druid(me), lvl 70 war., 60 druid, 62 chanter, 61 Ranger. We had the man power to take it down but messed up. We had it down to 27% but cleric and I bot go summoned and wiped. After that, not enough healing was there. We went back today with the same force, but we added a mage and a bst to the mix. Made it a piece of cake. Send in Ranger to track and pull, get to land and let tanks get it under 90% then nuke away. When it ran, we sent in the mage's pet and worked like a charm. Called pet back and Prakilon came with him. The only problem we ran into was the second run. He ran too far for the pet to be in range for commands. You can either run your group around the land towards him to be in range for pet commands or we just sent the Warrior in after him and repulled, blasted away....and got the epic item.
me and my trio went to take this guy out and were planning on pet tanking him. 69 ranger EP, 68 bst WoS gear, and 65 zerker gimp. Here is the strategy to beat this guy too easy. step 1. pull it and get it to 64% which he ran at for us. step 2. when he runs make sure pet class has fish on target and leave the pet on it. THIS MOB WILL KITE ITSELF. while it's running hit pet sit. what this does is once the fish is dead the pet will stay where it died. Step 3. once it's dead master tells pet to guard where ever mob died. he doesn't have to be anywhere near the pet itll just know. Step 4. master uses summon companion and since you told the pet to guard at the corpse that's where he'll go back to. Follow that pet to your epic piece. no time or qvic gear needed, just strategy = ) The ranger was usefull in tracking the pet but if I had thought of pet guard we may not have have needed him. Ranger was also shooting arrows at the fish as he was following that was a huge help also but again may not need. Try it out and let me know. Btw everyone needed SoS and max swim skill to keep up.
