I was working my way through Unrest with my merc, trying to level a 24 cleric without a full spell list. We went up the steps, cleared the bedroom and then opened the door to find 3 skeletons (can't recall what kind) and the hand. Took a few minutes, but we beat down the skels and turned our attention to the hand. Not a tough fight by any means, but after having killed everything else we were both getting low on HP. Thing moves FAST and took off around 20% health. My merc followed, I stopped at the top of the stairs, pretty sure of what was about to happen. I watched the enemy list start filling up. First 2 adds. Then 3 more. Then the hand's health started going up. Then another add.
At that point I gated out to the POK.

This Mob also is known to loot a book called "End of an Age." Looks like recipe books for someone interested increasing their baked skills. He has other books as well. Many are recipe books for baked skills.

Group was in barroom in unrest and i was medding...didnt see behind me...was told "there's a big hand giving you the finger.." turned around and seen our friend...SCARED THE EVER LOVING CHRIST OUTTA ME!!!LMAO!!!! we knocked him off rather quickly and I won a /random 100 with a 95 and got ivory bracelet. Good Times =)

now THIS is one bad hand you dont want to mess with unless you know you can take him. he hits for 70 and Spellcasts as much as the hags do :(

Yeah, my 27 Druid took him on tonight, and was getting nuked for 144 on a regular basis (resisting a few, fortunately): even with Aego and KEI left over from the last time I logged them on a few months ago it was a close fight.
Then after all that, all it dropped was a cookbook :).

Anyone find out what the key is for yet? I'm rather interested.
now this is one bad butt hand you got there it hits for 75 and spellcasts for 255 each time. i died by him three times by my cleric and there was no way my group could have taken him on we would get knocked into next tuesday. so whoever is taking him on be extremely cautios.i also heard he is a rare spawn too. so mr hand eat your heart out by killing people

Group in unrest were following Druid that found fatty on track and we were following him. We stopped when the druid knew he was in the next room. We sent an invised chanter to scout it. OOnce he begins to scout, we find this hand behind us. We killed it quite easily (Entire group was lvl 26-30) I got to loot since I landed a big DD and DoT on him, dropped only Ivory Bracelet and "The end of an age" for chanters. I kept the bracelet (Wizzie =)) And gave book to chanter, seemed interested once he returned with scout report. Fatty almost got the dead side of us, but thanks to the shaman (I love the shamies sickening spells :) ) and the cleric (Bunch of fearing him ans junk) But thats another story. Also, while we were coming back outafter an encounter with moruary funguses, Right b4 we were about to open main doors, out comes hand and, yet again, we pwned him. Dropped that elightment thingy this time, nothing else. Odd cause once more, I came back to unrest to whup fatty again (Im a necro and he didnt drop the globe :( ) With a much powerfuller group (lvls 28-32) hand saw me, aggroed me, we pwned him. Dropped nothing. After got my globe, found him AGAIN! (Seems to pop whenever Im going in or out of unrest) Dropped bracelet, elightment, & a wierd book. Next time I come here, Im bringing a reanimated handless body!

He dropped some wierd book "The end of an age", just thought I would throw that in. oh, BTW hes a wizzy.. nuked me witha varity of wizzie spells.

i am a 35 druid and i just soloed this guy by casting harmony on the room, snaring the hand, then jumping off the balcony. I waited in the yard and all that came down was the hand. One on one kiting was easy.

I was playing my 14th lvl Druid and decided to try out my new Levitate spell in Unrest. Tried to jump to the roof near the third floor where the hand spawned (didn't know much about the manions at the time) and I pulled it through the wall and out toward me. <LOL>
It's looked ridiculous and hilarious, so be warned that you can aggro the hand through the walls enough to where it will jump through to you!

One time i had a train on me and saw this in a larger train and while i was running i got nuked for like 250 damage with an ice spell, then while running more i got nukd for about the same with a fire spell, then while still running (i had to use lay hands after that second nuke) i got nuked for 250 again and this time from a lightning spell! is this thing a caster or did I just get on the wrong side of a hag train?

The hand is a pretty bad nuker but usualy casts its stronger spell at half health, there was most likely a hag in there to
