Just killed him last night. I downloaded the new cartopgraphy maps and he is labled. Easy kill, make sure you have someone to pick locks.

Very resistant to slow etc, doesn't summon that I noticed. Drops Essence of Thunder, no drop, lore, magic, RNG, BRD, ROG, race: all Diety karana.. Not sure what it's for, drops every time.

The essence is for a sword quest that is started in JPF and which is also Karana only...also where i get the key to his door he is the last mob i need for the quest

Ahh thanks.. The key dropped off An Old Construct. "a sacred key".. Droppable, not magic or lore.. Very common drop if not every time off of them. (they spawn in former Bejweled Elemental room)

The door is also easily picked open. Opened it with my bard whose pick lock skill is only 17. Mob will also area agro attack if you stand at the closed door for a few seconds.

If you fight your way up the ramp that leads up into the castle near the beginning of the zone, and loop your way around to the upstairs, you'll find a locked door, he's there behind it. I used Eye of Zomm to peek behind the door.

Saw it whilst exploring The Hole with my level 1 Halfling Brell worshipping Rogue (with sneak and hide both on). Spawns in a room by itself in the castle "castle middle" on EQ Atlas map.
