I fought him yesterday and he was black and red tiger striped. I have always seen the blue and orange as pictured here. Did they change his model or was it because I accessed him via agent of change?
Spikey DPS from him, hit from 200 all the way up to a max hit of just over 2k. He did quad and sometimes he would quad back to back and his spells never landed on me that I can remember. Did rage at about 13%.
This mob pops in the open area right before the last castle to boss mob. Took him on last night with a lvl 80 ranger(merc cleric) and lvl 75 shaman (merc warrior)and it was not a fun fight. Lost warrior when mob was at about 75% and it took a long time kill it. Popped LoTD right before engaging and had 3 minutets left on timer when he died. Used almost all disks and several heal pots and self healing and shaman healing and merc healing all on ranger. All 3 where OOM or really low on mana by end of fight. Did not even drop a Glyphed Rune Word which is what I was after, need to find a new spot to get glyphed.
elemental glove mold X 2 and a spectral parchment, bummer.
just park a tracker down past the 2 birds up on a wall. should be able to track from there. if not you should be able to spot it since its a huge frog.
Was in PoF mass pulling for SK that wanted to burn LOTD, SK was about 25k hps and we had a lvl 80 cleric, 68 cleric and 69 magi. SK saw this critter (who was boxing the level 80 cleric and engaged immediately after the RGC clicky. Magi and other cleric (boxed by myself) were enroute when cleric got agro and died. so down to 69 magi, 80 clr, and unsure of the lvl on the SK but given hps pretty sure was 80. Magi didn't do much of anything lol, of course super resistant to fire (IE malised and still couldn't land any pts of dmg with Bolt of Jerikor) so loaded 925dmg magic rain and just chain casted entire fight, Sk tanked with a few close calls (no slows on mob) and the 80 cleric went down to about 85% mana and was doing some nuking. All in all wasn't that bad, dropped gaunt mold and RGC clicky, Glyphed Rune Word and some phosphorous powdew
Sarcastic Rahl - 69 Magician {Knights of Consuming Fury} Ubahcleric Rahl - 68 Cleric {Knights of Consuming Fury}
A Cleric lvl 75, max AA's, 15k+ hp'S 17k+ mana unbuffed. Was headed to second castle to level up my ranger in PoFire a couple days ago when I came across Pryonis close to the wall as you head to second castle. Figured if I could single pull him I might have a chance so I cleared out all the close random stuff and waited. He soon pathed back close and all hell broke loose.
Had time to set spells for good dps (as good as it can get from a cleric) and started at him. Promisssed Renewal rk. II helps a bunch along with Vow of Valor rk. II. All the rest, Rallied Aegis of Vie rk. III (helps just for the first part) and aura going HoTanicity rk. III. The MoM and MoR help the AC reduction so we can hit a bit harder also. Weapon of choice was the Daybreak,Bringer of Light so that part was fair. Took about 15min and only one add came along so was not all that bad. There was a small bit of help from a friend in guild, a Beastloard, that saw in /gu I had engaged and came over to help slow him and stayed back to see how far I could go solo.
Nest we go after a couple more to see how far a cleric can go in the game now days. =)
Drops were Blackflame Sphere, Elemental Boot Mold and firery granite.
While this is a very nice achievement, technically you did not solo him if you got a beastlord to slow him, even if the beastlord didn't add any dps.
Considering you have RK3 spells, this means you are probably a TSS raider, which also means you are fairly uber as compared with most other players/guilds. Seeing your unbuffed stats confirms it.
Suffice it to say this mob is probably not soloable at this point in time, since a top-geared player needed even a little help. Maybe after the next expansion you can give it another go and earn the true 'solo' prize, but as it stands, I think this mob can still be considered a group mob (or a duo).
As a cleric, I tried him at 75 and couldn't do it. At 80, using Vow of Victory, Ward of Requittal, thorns, and the invulnerability hammer, I did solo him to get my RGC click. I can see how a very strong cleric could have soloed him at 75, during the TBS era, nice accomplishment.
Re-read the post. He never said he -needed- the help from the guildie, he had just come along because he wanted to. You don't need to rain on his parade just because is one of those uber equipped people. I'm sure there are click items he could have used that would have given the same effect as a slow if he wanted to use it.
And he never said this was now a soloable my anyone mob, just that he, for the most part, soloed it. After all, stats and spells like he possesses aren't obtained by just anyone.
Just 1 Grouped him with 3 Druids, 1 Shaman, 1 Warrior, and 1 Beastlord. Was a long fight 15 mintues, would have been faster with more dps, but we just wanted to see if it could be done with no Clerics, and it can! He dropped 2 Elemental Gauntlet Molds which aren't on his loot table.
k thnx, but how about telling those of us that are curious in killing him what kind of gear ya'll had. i mean a group of bazaar geared mostly, time geared, qvic geared, anguish geared, ya know these make big differences. i'm after him and when i have killed him finally i'll tell you what i used and how easy/hard it was to kill him.
This is a late reply but at the time one druid was CoA geared, one was about Qvic and i was DoD mission geared at the time. The others were CoA geared but if i recall correctly the Shaman and beastlord we being botted by one person.
Bah he is still gimp, downed him with 6 plus ench outside of group, tank was full anguish gear, rest where mix between anguish, tacvi, 2 clerics ranger SK and necro..ench outside group for buffs slows
I'm pretty sure that he has 2 different AE's. We fought him tonight and he had a stun that was doing minimal damage maybe 500 or so and then another ae that was doing a lot like 2k or so and didnt have a stun. Sony probably did this becuase hes been 1 grouped so much.
I think once you get aboce the current level cap (i.e. for most raid mobs at the high end) the level is more an estimate based upon the dificulty of the mob than an actual known value. The only other way to know the exact level would be to use one of the tools that hacks the EQ program or reads data from the stream to/from it, and that's against the EULA.
1 group killed him today, all the other posts are here spot on correct when they say this toad is gimp. 15.4k war, clr shm rog rng pal was the groups make up, the clr ran a bit lom but we did it easy in the end with myself (shm) helping to lighten the mana load on the cleric a bit at the end of the fight.

****** Alert! is right .... WTF do you have to go and bash someone who went and shared an accomplishment? I would be proud too if I had 1-grouped a raid mob. Your bitterness looks like little more than jealousy and immaturity. Congratulations Purrfekt!
You're the ****** buddy. I didn't see the original post, but the reason that one grouping this isn't a big deal is look at his tank. 15.4 hp tank. That's JUST a bit past this content. Like 2 expansions past it.
If you 1 grouped it with elemental geared people, I would be impressed. As is, it's like my guild 1 grouping Grummus, which we could easily do, but we don't cus that would be silly.
So your group went and farmed a range item for your cleric, gratz but don't expect to be thought highly of just because you bottom feed farm.
First of all, this isn't really a "bottom feed farm." Even if you are anguish geared group, this item is the fastest casting unlimited charge RGC item in the game. So it is still potentially desirable to anguish-level priests if they don't have one already. They are doing content they can for the best gear available. Hardly bottom feeding.
And look at the post again. He wasn't bragging. He doesn't care what people like you think about him. Don't be obtuse. He was providing information on what force he took and the difficulty of the encounter. That is very useful information for other people that might be considering killing this guy for his sphere.

SO many problems with this game, but you know, sometimes it makes it more fun. I'd much rather have to fight against an uber frog than another huge-@ss imp thingy. God those are getting annoying.
