Took down with a 57 Bard, 57 Shaman, and a 57 cleric along with 2 warrior mercs and 1 cleric merc. Cake.
The shaman was only able to get off a Plage of Insects or two. But generally was an easy fight overall. Pulled one of the adds from a corner and only got the pull target and the named, not the 2nd add. Worked out easy.
Pulled him today for my group as a 70 cleric. Paci stuck on everything, even him, pulled him down, didn't summon me until we got to ent tunnel. tried to CH himself. When it became apparent we weren't going to stand for that he gated and did it on his podium then came back at us. Was a bit of a challenge for a 62-68 group (i was highest at 70) but nothing that cant be done.
EDIT: Ch is cleric version, 7500hp. not the 100% heal one that some fooking mobs get.

Took him again today at level 75. Soloed him with just self buffs. Was a bit of a long fight, but had 82% mana left when i was done so nothing too hard. healed a good bit, and had decent hp.

Took this guy down on The Nameless Server today with a level 70 warrior, 65 enchanter and 65 cleric all boxed by me. Warrior had about 9khp and 1600ac and both Enchanter and Cleric have mana pools of about 4000, fight lasted about 25 minutes and although the Enchanter chain casted slow the entire fight it landed about 4 times.
Ended up dropping Glyphed Rune Word and a Shortblade of Lightning, turned in rune for Sha's Revenge for my Beastlord. =)
This guy is probably the eassiest of the pad named, due to the fact that you only have to clear 2 mobs to fight him safely, and he doesnt hit near as hard as Gakur. I 2 box him routinely with my 65 cleric, and 70 mnk. The only problem I ever have is being on the Zek server, you are an easy target when duoing named mobs.
not hard since don came out, me and a friend duo'ed him. i being a 67 shaman 810 aa's and friend of mine 70 warrior with 16k hps took him down. biggest problem was he kept healing himself. It was hard for the warrior to interrupt the cast, so the first took almost 17 minutes. Finally killed him when my spirit call aa went up and all da lil wolfs stunned him.
Took him down yesterday, and he dropped the Shortblade of Lightning. Very sweet as I was the only Warrior there.
I don't see a lot of mention of tactics, but I figured I'd offer some up. In my groups, I prefer hitting hard and fast to speed up the kills, and that means no kiting, fighting with charmed pets, just straight up tanking, healing the tank, and support classes piling on the DPS.
I tag with Incite, then pop Furious as I engage. The 300 point DD is a distraction, little more, so we didn't even factor it in. Once Furious drops and you move to Defensive, a 300 point DD isn't anything more than what an extra hit would be. Once you're Defensive, it's simply a matter of tagging in a second Incite to secure aggro, then sit and soak damage until the other classes can do their work.
With the unlinking of Disciplines and decrease in refresh times for Defensive, Warrior tanking of the named in Bastion of Thunder is a pretty straightfoward process.
I don't know about Shammy slows, but with my Enchanter after I Howl of Tashan the minis it takes me at least 6 times to get slow to stick on them (most all of them) and even then it's mitigated. We wiped once and then I grabbed a CoD'd fire elemental to own him with my group.
Oreen was very resistant of shaman Magic slow. I casted Malo then turgers which did not stick. So I quickly got malicous decay up and Grummus. Mind you while the tank is getting wooped on. After malcious decay was casted. I think Grummus(40% disease slow) stuck on the first or second attempt. So they can be disease slowed fairly easily. The disease slow was mitigated so I figured it would not be worth doing magic after that because I had him slowed about as much as he was going to get.
(Buzzer noise) He doesnt drop silk sleeves, only ornate chain pants (very rare). You have him mistaken for a tower mini. I have never seen him drop rain soaked sandals in about 100 kills or so, but i suppose it may be possible. Sandals drop from a named in the water tower (common).
Killed him today on mith marr he droped Belt, ring, and SP killed him with 65pally,65 enchanter,65 rogue,63 beast lord,62 shamman, and me a 62 cleric, won the roll on the belt BTW. shammy and chanter chain slowed till it landed after it landed he wuz a pushover thanks to our exelent MT =)
I have killed this guy literally over a dozen times and the only thing he has dropped for me is the belt besides the torden ring. I seriously think he's nerfed or something. Almost not worth going after.
well about 2 weeks ago our group was at elif when ranger called Oreen is up and uncamped. we where like lets bolt there now quick style before someone pulls him. well we cleared, pulled, and killed without worries and her droped...
1 stupid ring 1 spec 1 rune 1 ornate pant pattern
i might say i have never seen him drop anything even close to that since day one.
Oreen Wavecrasher spawns in the Deepest East area on the lower level. He will have 2 guards, one on either side of him in front of the teleport pad to the Upper Courtyard.
As mentioned before, and as with most of these lvl 65's, they are very difficult to slow. This one however, IS slowable.
anyone with a good tank, cleric, and shaman can tank this guy with ease. Killed him many times, tonight he dropped just the ring of torden which is really lame! Of all the times ive killed him, ive yet to get what i want from him, Ornate Chain Pants..
Strategy, land Malos, Turgur's, Maliscious Decay, any dot u can land, in the mean time the tank is going defenisve so watch agro, cleric should be able to maintain healing with ease, through in a quiescence on him if u want, thevrest is just some good dps stabbin him. The chanter way works but is gay IMO!!
I saw my friend take him down with four. A 65 Necro, 65 Shadow Knight, 65 Enchanter, and a 65 Cleric. Most geared in SS or a little better.
First, I'll list some vital statistics...About 47.5k...Pushes 800 in max hits...Has an AoE called "Monsoons" which does 300 damage...and he CAN be slowed.
Oreen is in the room with four vann militis's. They pulled 3 of the 4 and disposed of them in the bottom left corner. The SK snared the fourth one, then left him to the Chanter. The Chanter used CoD (Command of Druzzil) on the fourth and sent him on Oreen. He then, used Tashanian, which lowered his magic resistance by 41. After that he used his slow, Forlorn Deeds, which slows the target down 70%.
My friend, the Necro, was blasting away with DoT's. He was using Funeral Pyre of Kelador, which does about 261 damage per tick. The other two DoTs he was using were Saryrn's Kiss, which does about 200 a tick, and Dark Plague, which does a formidable 132 a tick.If you add all those up he was doing about 593 damage per tick. He was using Seduction of Saryrn too which is like FT 50, but, it is a DoT on you. Every once in a while, he would throw in a Touch of Mujaki, a 850 point lifetap.
The SK would jump on the vann when the charm broke, so the chanter could recharm it. When the vann was charmed, the SK was lifetapping Oreen.
The Cleric was laying back doing what clerics do best, healing.

The minis are significantly tuffer than the nameds and if the slow doesn't stick fairly quickly or someone other than the MA takes aggro, you can lose. I am a cleric with over 4K mana fully buffed and I can chaincast about 12 to 15 complete heals before I go OOM.
One time, I was with a tank with over 7K HP and he went defensive and I hit him with a Heal over time just before he got hit. The slow landed on the fairly quickly and I was still VERY LOM by the time we killed him.
Another time we had 2 warriors over 7K HP and slow DIDN'T land and the first warrior died fairly quickly after defensive wore out and the slow hit just as the second tank's defensive was wearing out. We finished the fight OOM and we were lucky to be alive at all. These guys are not easy for most pickup groups, the nameds on the other hand can be done with any normal group that didn't buy their accounts on ebay.
