These mobs are not fully slowable. They will give a message that "your spell was partially successful" when slowed. Max hit from one the other night was 716. He turned me into goop in about 6 hits. :/

Hit our puller for 573 and had an ae proc 698... we decided to keep pulling snakes still =)
Got a Darkmetal Visor off of one of the desert giants (either this guy or a jotna her megir)

just tried to take one out.. sigh.. they summon. blam.. stun .. splat
There are a number of these mobs out in the desert area "all by themselves" meaning, no other giants in aggro or assist range. I just killed my third of these lonesome mobs, first two dropped giant heads, the third dropped the bone needed for the BoT key quest( Storm Taarid Bone ).
As in, you solo'ed 3? May I ask how? I'm a 65 necro, and I'm dying to figure out how I can take these guys down without a mini raid.

Well, it doesn't really say he soloed them, but assuming that he did.. He's a druid, so I'm guessing he charmed some nearby animal mob and sicced it on the giant.
As a necro I don't think you will be able to solo them since they summon. They can be taken down with a group of people your level though.

These are actually soloable, I know I do it as a druid, did it for the sash beard and bone for my pos key, couldnt solo the named, neway heres how.
as a lvl 65 druid, could work for a necro also I imagine.
1 - get a kei + symbol, self buff up including regen and lvl 60 regen that stacks
2 - harmo sorrounding mobs, pull with snare
3 - Load dots on mob
4 - when summoned run out of melee range, should only get one round in
heal when needed, dots wear off run out of melee range and recast, dont run to far because you need to run recast dot run more get summonned run repeat, save spirit of the wood for emergency heal. you could die, oh well if you wanna do the quest solo this is how.
