Hailing Nitram doesn't seem to stop his advance anymore. So the suggestion to hail him to keep him in place while you clear the dragon's room no longer works.

Fortunately, the mobs in the dragon's room don't seem to add to the fight. You can move your group right to his corpse and wait for Nitram to show up and wake up the dragon. Be sure to turn the dragon away from Nitram so his frontal aoe doesn't kill the gnome.

lost the first one because we targeted Nitram by mistake. Took on the next day with 81 sk, 81 nec, 77 pal, 77 dru, 81 (T5) clr, and 77 (T1) tank. Overkilled but it was cool. Only hard part was killing adds.

Advise: Go ahead and clear most of it while someone holds Nitram by hailing him once in a while. Then give the pieces and follow him. Xanamech attacks him when you get up there so make sure you get agro off him quick.

Dropped: Ethereal Parchment, Innovators Ring, Woven Shim Choker, Saltpeter, Gears, and Copper Node

Good luck everyone!
Easy Fight
# Aug 23 2007 at 8:39 AM Rating: Decent
I just killed Xanamech with 4 people, Very Easy fight.
I took my 75 Beastlord ( Beastboy ) 560AAs, 10k unbuffed CoA gear mostly.
My 69 Cleric Lucifersx, My friends a 70 Ranger Tuidyl, and a 70 Pally Saeel.

Pally MTanked, health really never dropped below 90%,
My Cleric just casted HoT Pious Elixir,
My Beastlord just Burned DPS and slowed, (very resistant)
Dont know what Ranger did lol, but he got the Final Blow lol.

Xanamech hit me for a Max of 760,
We all had Heal Pots, so really didnt heal much at all with my cleric.
twice i CHed our Pally,

Only bad part about this encounter is getting Nitram to Xanamech, he will attack every mob along the way ><. I think that was harder then Xanamech lol.
But was easy just time consuming.

Xanamech did NOT Flurry or Rampage,
Total time was about 2 minuts at best,

You will have to collect 3 items to give to Nitram ( walks around entrance)
In order to activate Xanamech, took about 30 minuts of killing trash.
Only 1 person needs to collect.

Soloed Xanamech yesterday. 75 ranger with ~14k unbuffed :) Was fairly easy using Steadfast and just melee/nuke really.

As the game progresses, it's funny to see how older raiding targets are easily becoming boxable, and in some cases soloable.

I killed Xanamech today (17 December 2006) with a 74 Warrior (about 12.4k HP unbuffed, BBoB/1.5, Qvic-ish quality armor with 1 Anguish aug) and a 71 Cleric (8k mana unbuffed, 1 piece of Qvic armor, no other raid gear).

I was surprised at how fast he hit and although he hit pretty low most of the time, I did get hit upwards of 1200 at one point. It took about 15 minutes to kill him and had 2 close calls (Warrior under 10%). Dropped Spiked Driver, Pulsing Phase Emitter, 2 power cells and some other random trash. No parchments.

Good day though, 2 boxed the PoN Hedge event, now this. :)
Maybe solution to gnome running off.
# Nov 14 2006 at 11:10 AM Rating: Decent
Question of can the gnome be rooted to keep him safe while fighting Xana? Maybe then you would not have him running off without getting flagged. This may cause the one that rooted him not to get flagged for the factory but maybe it would ensure that everyone else did.

Took him out today, 4 toons, 70 sk, ench, druid boxed by me, and a 75 pally friend. SK tanked, slow took about 20 trys to land, once it was on I hardly needed to heal anymore, but it was already down to about 25% by then.
easy..

was easy single group today on bertox
#REDACTED, Posted: Jun 14 2006 at 3:40 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Me (70 monk 8.5khp unbuffed / 70 cleric 5kish Hp) and a buddy (70 SK 9.7khp / 70 shaman 5kish Hp / 70 druid 5kish Hp) box'd this dude. We won obviously but just letting people know that even tho its old content doesnt mean you still cant have fun!

Undying Alliance had an open raid night and got somewhere around 40 participants in killing Xanamech. Went in not having the items for the quest, so just ran around slaughtering anything in our path. Didn't take Greasy...but did have someone train us with Junk Beast and a ton of adds.
After plowing through that and getting the rest of the pieces, we paved the way for the gnome, got into Xana's room and the fight was over pretty quick. Was on my SK and he hit's for 800 pretty fast like I saw someone else say in a previous post. Oil Spray (Darkness type dot) wasn't fun, but nonetheless dropped him quick with fw deaths.
Very great raid :-) Dropped the driveshaft, caster shield and an EP. Friend got the driveshaft (Gratz Cenarye). Were gonna go after Behemoth right after, but most had to leave as it took awhile to set up raid. Will be hitting Behemoth hopefully this coming Saturday!
Oh and watch the AE nukes on the way to Xana with the gnome in tow...we almost lost him a couple times...

just did this with 2 mage, 2 sk clr and shammy, only 2 times did gnome attack one of us, shammy gated and sk fd and killed pet to get it off, other than that just make sure tank/tanks, have agro on all mobs then he just adds dps. Mages would usually scout ahead and get pets on everything, then after that sks would just run in and kill stuff...Xanamech only took about 4 mins to kill got down to 30 mana however forgotten that I had put a Grp heal up and was casting that instead of Light...all in all very fun.
downed with 3

Used to love this guy, the script is fun. Figured i'd try to duo it with my shaman box, monk friend decided to tag along. We dropped him in about 12 min, got driveshaft and caster shield. Easiest way i found to do it was to dreadgaze nitram so he was aggro on me whole time, then clear way to xana's lair and fd him off, while shaman was tank mezzing last mob, when fd cleared, stand up, kill last mob and kill xana. was a blast
Location?

Tried to 3box this guy today, 70 druid / warrior / chanter, did not mez the gnome, instead pulled 2 mobs at once during walk and let nitram help out with some dps... druid would solo 1 mob while warrior soloed other, neither needed any heals with lifetapping weapons, as long as there is a mob where you want nitram to stay he will keep himself busy. The walk was not a problem, dragon is another story. After tash, 8 slows did not stick, 10.5k unbuffed warrior fully buffed in defensive was taking hits of about 800 very fast, spamming druid quick heals could barely keep up. Slowed im sure it is very doable... but take a shaman if your going to try boxing him. The ae's werent a problem with GoD gear. Exodus was handy, and maybe will try the dragon again sometime with a shaman.

I'm posting this here cause unless I missed something I did not read this information on any other post. We attempted Xanamech tonight and got to the shack fine. Turned in the items to Nitram and started following him and *boom* he starts beating on a raid member in wolf form. They zone and Nitram returns to his route, then another person in wolf form on raid who did not see the other wolf formed person get aggro, got aggro. Kinda went down hill from there, but we did learn. DO NOT USE WOLF FORM around Nitram. He will attack you.

Lady P is correct.....wolf form will get you in big trouble.

This is still true for other zones too. I was in PoG yesterday. As a Ranger I was ally to everything. I cast wolf form on myself (as I hate going around anywhere unless I am hauling as*) when I was alone, and then conned a horse that was ally to....I was then defensive. BIG drop. Needless to say, I clicked that off REAL fast and put SOW on. Ran to Earthmelder, turned in heads and got my Helm of the Tracker.

Don't use Wolf form unless you con the mobs first. End of story. No if ands or buts.

Your people in wolf form had to have done something wrong--non-PC illusions no longer have any faction mods on them, haven't for ages. Even Gore doesn't care anymore...though this makes me sadface. :(

Wolf form has always had faction adjustments associated with it and still does.

For example, the Firiona Vie outpost. Even though it's been relocated to that small island on the east side of the zone, the guards still attack you on sight if you are in wolf form.

I can testify that wolf form does indeed still have faction adjustments in some places as I was recently killed by Severilous [that would be Ring of Scale faction, ie, Gorenaire too] in Emerald Jungle because of it. When I returned to get my body as a human, I conned as apprehensive and could run up and say hi to him.

Wolf form still srews up faction with some mobs, especially gnomes. It lowers Dragorn Loyalist faction and faction with the Thurgadin Dwarves.

this mob is easy to kill, the best way in my view is to get yourself 2 level 65 pallys, 65 enc, 2 clerics and 1 druid, couple rangers to shoot at him and warrior to tank, use only spam heals for this guy, forget the ol CH chain, just spam with tiny and fast heals, get him slowed and hes a baby, just keep tanks up and let the arrows fly, and have the pallys cast there group heals, easily 2 grouped 1 group is pushing it, but it can be done if u got the right class's.

GL to those of u who try this!
Xana's dps
# Sep 26 2004 at 11:59 AM Rating: Decent
Bash - 165-171
Hit - 225-1380 itv 61/62

Frequently triples, have seen one or two quads.
Parsed 656 dps against me. Took the 65 shaman 55 seconds to get him slowed though.
how hard?

how hard does he hit tho? and would a beastlord slow stick? and how many hp's u guys think he has?

I'm planning on one grouping this guy with all 65. SK as MT, Cleric, BST, Mage, Druid, and either shammy or another cleric?
RE: how hard?
# Aug 28 2004 at 4:02 AM Rating: Default
Lol yes bring clerics... You will need them for the rezzes after you all die. There is a reason people "raid" him. Plus the gnome would probably die on the way there since you have no bard or chanter to mez him. Silly goose. =)
oh oh

did this guy the other day with 17 peeps lowest lvl was 55 i think and no deaths was a easy kill
Easy but fun

Took down this beast a while back, and was in the raid with Darst (see post below) was pretty simple for a 56 person raid of 55+, but the gnome did run off about 2 minutes after Xanamech died, nobody got their factory key that night. :P

Almost immediately after the gnome ran away and depopped, Junk Beast spawned on us. Took him down, he was almost harder than Xanamech. :P

I won the Woven Shim Choker, and unfortunately, a few people blamed me for ninja looting the Innovator's ring, I'm a sensible player, and the fact that a Shadowknight can't use the ring backs me up.

Was a really fun raid, managed to get the gate talisman peices from the walk to Xanamech and was an easy yet fun raid.
#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 03 2004 at 9:19 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) So which class can wear the choker and the ring at same time or did ya essentialy trade off the choker for ring :P Well its late and I'm bored and can't imagine how you don't feel guilty if you took both pieces of loot.

I think he mistakenly looted the ring because it looks like a choker. If I understand his post correctly.

Actually, it looks like he won the choker, but people blamed him for looting both.

Now, it's possible he could have looted the ring by accident, and then looted his choker... and it's also possible that someone else could have ninja'd the ring...

If people logged the looting decisions and contacted a GM when something went fishy... this could have been resolved.

Ok, there is a 'no mezz' point beyond which if you mezz the gnome, you get no turn in. I can't describe it exactly, but its pretty early in the last straight away. I would say don't mez within site of the metal platform on the final leg.

We did the 'gnome walk' with a chanter/bard...the bard would mez, then release and chanter would mem blur (I always released with my back to the gnome to keep him from taking ripost damage) keeping the gnome at the back of a dungeon crawl type fight headed to Xana's spawn point.

I have heard people say you could run the gnome ahead chasing the bard(aggroed on bard after mez break, before memblur), when we did that and memblurred he went back to his last non-aggo'ed point on the walk and restarted the walk from there. I suppose a really powerful group could let him fight along with them and just zerg their way there...I

In addition, its been reported that charming the gnome even once during the walk will cause you not to get the turn in at the end.

Downed Xana last night on the Venril Sathir server in a 21 man pick up raid, no deaths flawless, lvl range was 51-65, I was 52 so, near useless only my pet did any damage. (Mage btw)

It dropped Woven Shin Collar and Cord Hilted Spike Driver which made our warrior very chuffed.

Made sure to get our flags too woot!
