Nyrein the Beguiled is NOT on Phinigel Autropos faction. She's on Kedge faction, like Priestess Auraia.

Hit for like 150s at most, hit fast though. Lot more HPs then Esstrella but easy solo for a 62 pally with full elaborate gear. Dropped Book for DS clicky crown which is what i was after : )
last post here was about 4 years ago... so i thought i'd update it.
70 Cleric, low gear only a few 1.5 items. this fish is still very resistant. She resisted weapon procs, ward procs. Sometimes they would hit, but 1/4 or so hit. It seems shes a melee only mob. She doesn't have too many hit points, just takes time because you cant cast on her.

I being a 65 Necro she resisted all my spells including my regular lifetap. Only spell I could cast on her was Gangerous Touch because it is the ultra unresistable lifetap.
I just healed my pet up and let him slowly take her down. So best to use a tank and cleric on this one if you can.
She does spawn with a pet, in the back of Estrella's temple behind where Estrella spawns.

Funeral pyre and Blood of thule landed np, I tanked chaining disease tap, she dropped fast.

I'm just glad i'm a magician. Mala'd and sicked 66 air pet on her. Pet and her were about even at 70%, threw a bolt of Jerikor, 6400 crit took her to 20%. Burning sand when she was at 10% killed her. All she had was Nyrein's tomb

Yes, I can confirm this - she gives a hit to Kedge faction (a faction that is not listed on this website) and none to Phinigel Autropos.

I swam all over Kedge last night and didn't see her. Had my Druid girlfriend with me and she never had Nyrein on track. I'm guessing she has a place holder or she is on a long timer like most of the named here. Any more info would be keen.

She's directly behind Estrella of Gloomwater. Approx location is 0, neg 300. I know she can't be slowed, and have heard she can't be snared or rooted. So bring friends.
Nyrein was the greatest leader of the Tempest Gaurds, Karanian rangers or pallys, now corrupted in death by phinny.
Lady Deira in Jaggedpines gives a quest for the Tempest guard symbol, return Nyrein's tome and an item off a giant necro skeleton in Souther karana.
If you say "what items" and "what is Nyrein's tome" Lady Deira will tell you more.

your wrong about the quest.
The quest is in JP, for the Tempest Guard helm. But you need to kill a Named madman in SRo, Some1 Crazed in The Hole, Nyrian in KK, and a Reaver in Plane of Fear. Also need Ally in JP to do it.
