Not vendor trash anymore. Troll weapon smithing is basically recycling old weapons into new, awesome weapons, and this weapon can be recycled.
A troll smith with >220 skill can combine the sharkbone warhammer with a hammer head mold, 2 folded sheets of infused acrylia (Troll version), and a smithy hammer in the cultural Grobb forge. I don't know the stats on the resulting warhammer since I haven't seen one yet, but for examples of some of the other troll-recycled items, look at:
Darkly Pulsing Orb
Honed Blade of the Ykesha
Rigid Mistmoore shield
If the above items are any indication, this would be well worth recycling.

OK, I have the stats on the recycled version. ("Recycled" via troll smithing.)
Troll Cultural Recipe (must be combined in the Grobb forge by a troll):
"Worked" sharkbone warhammer (name is not correct, not sure of the exact name of the item produced in this step): 2 folded sheets of infused acrylia (troll smithed version), sharkbone warhammer, hammer head mold, smithy hammer
Trivial <=192
Reshapen Sharkbone Hammer: "worked" sharkbone warhammer, bile temper, file, smithing chisel
Trivial >250
Reshapen Sharkbone Hammer
MAGIC ITEM
Slot: PRIMARY SECONDARY
Skill: 1H Blunt Atk Delay: 22
DMG: 12
WIS: +10 MANA: +30
Recommended level of 45.
WT: 3.0 Size: LARGE
Class: WAR CLR PAL RNG SHD DRU BRD SHM BST

There are imbued versions as well. Add an Imbued Amber to the Reshapen recipe for the Fearful Reshapen Sharkbone Hammer (Deity: Cazic-Thule), an Imbued Sapphire for the Hateful Reshapen Sharkbone Hammer (Deity: Innoruuk), and an Imbued Jade for the Vengeful Reshapen Sharkbone Hammer (Deity: Rallos Zek).
So yes, give your old Sharkbone Warhammers to your favorite troll smith.
