I just wanted to post a note that of August 2004 this item still exists. I camped the Ugrak off an on for a few weeks and I would spend a few hours there in each session. He appeared for me about 6 times. He dropped the bracer once and the boots three times.

He appeared three times on the last day when I was there with some guildies and we repeatedly cleared the beach of all Ogres (including Oowomp) and the one Ogre in the hills to the North of the beach.

The only problem is I wanted this bracer when I was at a level where I couldn't possibly take on Oowomp. I would hope a higher level person would come along and camp Oowomp because I got conviced all the Ogres had to die to get Ugrak to spawn. By the time I got the bracer it was barely worth it because I advanced to the level where Gothic Steel was pretty easily attainable.

I still wore it for a while because it was cool to wear such a rare item that I camped for (rather than buying it in the bazaar).
Beastlord

This is beastlord wearable. I paid 400pp for it, yeah, my mistake. But as an Iksar Bst, good AC wrist items are very very hard to come by. No hero bracer for us.

I can't understand why this piece is so cheap. Better AC than a Hero's Bracer, and STA mods are much harder to obtain than STR items. Granted the Hero Bracer has 10 STR vs. 3 STA, but still, this item should go for more than the people have posted. Great value here, get one if you can.
#REDACTED, Posted: Jan 30 2002 at 8:22 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) FIRST OFF, internet prices are the retarded ***** from hell, SECOND, str is MUCH better than stamina for a tank, these would go for 50pp, and you can get crusty armor with a chitload of sta buffs on it, as well as strength

"str is MUCH better than stamina for a tank"

You couldn't be more wrong. Stamina is the most important melee stat. It doesn't do much at low levels, but as you get start to reach higher levels, stamina does more than any other melee stat. Sadly, an unfortunate percentage of people don't put any points into stamina at creation, instead opting to raise their strength. Or even worse, they waste their points in agility and/or dexterity.

The first (and really only) stat goal for any melee character should be to get his/her stamina over 100 to prevent the stat loss that happens when your stamina bar empties. Having your stamina over 100 negates all negative effects of having your stamina bar empty, with the exception of not being able to jump. Other than that, melees should concentrate totally on AC and +HP (resists if going on raids) and let the other stats fall where they may.

Strength is overrated by less experienced players. To be honest, all stats are. Basically, raising your strength from 100 to 255 will amount to approximately a 3% increase in total damage output.

maybe times have changed since this post but this is definately wrong. I play a ranger 58 and when i reach the 15-buff cap during raids or exping, stamina buffs are often the ones to go. As melee, our weapons are lighter than most and i just Don't ever see the stamina bar empty. Strength is important to us for increasing attack damage (again i fail to believe 155 str makes a 3% change in damage) but dex becomes Critical.

Tanks on the other hand have the heaviest weapons, they get hit the most, and they get the most hp-per-sta. All in all stamina is surely primarily for the tank, dex for the melee, and str for anyone doing non-spell damage.

I have a post 50 warrior and I can tell you that strength is not that important later on in the game. Tanks are more for staying alive than dealing damage...with no tank sucking the aggro, most high level groups would be in trouble. so stamina is king...need those hp's.

A tank that dosen't get hit??? What fantasy world is that? Or are you a chicken !@#$ tank hiding behind his cleric?
#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 31 2002 at 9:51 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) i know that ac prevents you from getting hit but you will NEVER need hitpoints if you dont get hit...EVER

"dont need hp if you dont get hit"

Shows how little you know. The only stat that prevent you from being hit is Armor Class. The only single thing that determines if you get hit is Armor Class. As for Riposting, Parrying, Dodging, or every other skill, the skill level is the only thing that determines whether or not it works. Agi has a slight advantage to AC, i believe i got 4 ac from 15 extra agi...every bit counts tho.

If you were a high end tank you'd know that warriors get hit. Thats their job, and if you have aggro from a higher level creature you're going to get hit. Its the tanks job to take all hits and soak up all the damage taken. Dealing damage isn't as important as holding taunt, which is the most important thing.

If warriors didn't get hit, they would be able to solo. I warriors didn't get hit then there would be no clerics. Warriors get hit, and they get hit alot...and the only thing between a warrior and his bindspot is AC and HP's, because thats all they have, and they have more of it than anyone.

Sta is the most important stat for a tank, its the only stat with noticable impact on the character.

This bracer rocks. Its the highest AC bracer thats Iksar wearable that i've seen that doesn't cost 15kpp.

And theres no real comparison to hero bracer...This has higher AC for one, and secondly sta>str.

Strength items are a dime a dozen.

You are right...shows how much you know.

Technically, you are wrong. Real world you are right. All PPMKO said was

Quote " dont need hp if you dont get hit "

and

" i know that ac prevents you from getting hit but you will NEVER need hitpoints if you dont get hit...EVER "

You should keep your mouth shut when you dont understand what is being said. Idiot.

As for PPMKO, Really? Duh!!! Nice choice of words though...
#REDACTED, Posted: Aug 16 2002 at 6:18 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I have to agree and disagree with you all. ALL melee stats are most important for a tank. no 1 stat should be overlooked. Agi 'TO NOT BE HIT AT ALL' sta 'TO HAVE MORE HP FOR WHEN HITS DO CONNECT AND KEEPING YOUR STAMINA BAR FROM REACHING ZERO TO HAVE THE NOTORIOUS MINUS TO ALL MELEE STATS' dex 'TO MAKE YOUR HITS CONNECT TO KILL THAT MOB A LIL QUICKER AND FER WEAPON PROCS' and don't forget str 'TO HAVE CRITICAL HITS DO MORE DAMAGE AND CARRY LOTS N' LOTS OF LOOT'. THe only unimportant stat to a warrior is int wis and cha , cha being the least important. Of course unless you make your warrior into your main smith, tailor, etc. you might just want to get int and wis items for that crap.
