Shadows of LuclinI saw the collar (the good one that is) drop from Yelloweyes twice in the same hour. Cleric in the group sent me a tell and said that it had been over a year since he had seen even one drop.

There are a lot of people flamming Verant about items like this where none of the races match up to certain classes. Maybe you newbies haven't noticed, but races get new classes, and they get them taken away sometimes too, like the Dark Elf Druids. Anyway, it's probably made this way because one of those races will get the ability to be a Druid or Cleric eventually. My bet would be Barbarian Druids and Vah Shir, maybe... anyway... the post about them being Evil races... Vah Shir and Barbarians aren't Evil races.

This item is very nice for any beastlord at lower levels.
I'm thinking, not at all good for druids, since druids can only be halfling, wood elf, half elf or human, and none of those races can wear this :)
Its best for ANY of the listed class race combo's. if they don't have better! For the most part, unless you are twinked, you're just filling slots with the best you can grab til around 20 or so, then starting to buy/loot/quest better.

You are simply a ninjalooter, and ninjalooting is a bannable offense. So you are either not telling the truth or you are not playing atm or anymore :P
um, Grats on the collar, but it IS good sportsmanship to be fair to ALL the team members, who is to say that you deserve it more than anyone else? others fought just as hard as you to get it, and while you were looting they were fighing other mobs defening your butt, so you could show a little respect. I'm not trying to pick a fight or anything, but that is my opinion. be fair to everybody.

I have a friend who has camped this bear for over 8 hours and it has not dropped the Yelloweyes Collar. This is obviously a very rare drop. He has about 15 Tattered Owlbear Collars, some beaks and at least one perfect owlbear pelt...so if you want this collar be prepared to wait.

clerics cannot outfit this! look at the races listed! BAR TRL OGR IKS VAH!!! WTF is this all about they put druid and cleric up there, but as far as I can recall, those classes are not lined up to those races! aren't those races evil races? and the druid cleric classes are far from evil unless given an evil alignment, but then again, you must be a tard to do that

It wouldn't make sense for a cleric or druid to be able to outfit this anyway. Remember how big owlbears are to begin with. Can you see a gnome cleric or even a human one wearing a collar that was made to fit around an owlbears neck?? I don't even see any of the large races having a neck size comparable to that of an owlbear, but I guess the item designers don't think of little things like that once they get on a roll creating new treasures for us.
This reminds me a lot of when war wolf chokers and velium war wolf chokers were first discovered and the medium and large races were complaining that they couldn't equip it. It's a dog collar, guys, of course only shorties can wear it because only a shorty has a small enough neck to put it on. Owlbears are big, so only big races can use the collar. Makes sense to me.

Well vah shir and barbarians aren't evil... but you're right, they can't be clerics or druids. Actually, among the races that can use this, only beastlords would have much use for the wis this collar has. And shamans of course... good/evil consideration aside (which makes no difference on armor, unless it's deity specific) that's what all the races this collar can be worn by have in common. They can all be shamans and beastlords. That's who this collar was obviously designed for.

i camped this collar for 8 hours today. not a single drop, but i did get a perfect owlbear pelt so all is not lost

Camped this guy for 4 hours last night without 1 collar. Gonna go back to try again but as you can guess I was slightly disapointed.

Which druid would that be? Your barbarian, troll, ogre, iksar or vah shir? LOL :)
not too bad of a non-twink bst collar (decided not to twink my bst for the most part... the treeweave, jagged ice shard, crystalline belt, and reinforced armor were just to start out) i plan on tryin for this once my bst gets high nuff... decent for ranger too. (non-twink that is)

Yelloweyes is a quick spawn, about 10 to 15 minutes max usually,he spawns right at the front of the first bandit camp from Shadow Haven(if you pull him to the left he won't bring any bandits with him). My 17 Warrior can almost solo him if he didn't have the screech attack that does 65 damage and doesn't seem to have a rechargetime on it either. My advice is to get a group of about 4 people and inbetween killing yelloweyes, take out 4 or 5 bandits, by then he should have re-spawned.

Whats next on the list of names? I think they should make a redneck collar too. Get it? Red instead of yellow and neck instead of eyes. Yeah, um ok. I was probably on one of my stupid rampages when i wrote this so when i check this tommorow, please dont flame me.
This item drops off a Owlbear named Yelloweyes, behind one of the Recondite Bandit camp tents, hence the name Yelloweye's Collar. If you enter the Pauldral Caverns from Shadowhaven go left along the wall through the first Recondite Bandit camp, and go around the ledge till you reach the next Bandit camp. Yelloweyes will be located behind one of the tents that are on the platform. You cannot single pull this unless all the recondite bandits are non-aggro green (meaning if you can run around the little guys non-invisible and they con "ready to attack or threateningly" then you can pull it solo) For some reason those little bandits have a thing for this Owlbear.
Also, it seems to be a rare drop off this mob, I got it 1 time out of 15 kills.

CORRECTION: Yelloweyes should be the FIRST thing you meet in the FIRST bandit camp coming from shadowhaven. and very easy to pull without any other agro. You think of Ringo, the sediment delver that is a pet in the 2nd camp.

It's an old mistake, but none of those races can be paladins, druids or clerics.
