I've camped elysians for around 9hrs today with 2 other druid and in the whole time we managed 1 bracer and a cleric spell. A week or so ago I got legs and arms in a 3hrs session with another druid group getting some boots.

Anyone noticed a change in drop rates or was I just unlucky - all day.

Just luck of the draw is all.

I teamed up with 3 others one sitting. We dropped 11 of them in a row -- got 1 spell and 1 bracer.

After they left, got 3 pieces of armor in a row.

Last night took a group to Umbral - just wanderin around killing Assassins etc... Corrupted elysian Elder spawned. We moved to "safe corner" and started pulling Disturbed Elysians out, by the time we set up shop the Elder had been pulled :/

In a period of about 3 hours killing roughly 20 remains, we managed 4 gloves (Common) and 2 legs - nothing else dropped. Was truly hoping for BP/boots - but as with all else, they take patience.

About Magic Resistance, everything I threw at them stuck - Scoriae was hitting for max, and I think the only thing that got resisted once was Fixation of Ro. Netherbian's didnt add on pulls, but fallen soldiers did, and against wall everything was fairly safe and a good camp.

Disturbed Elysian Remains are mezzable and slowable, which makes for an easy fight with a chanter around to pick up extras.

The safest route to these is out the zone wall and turn left - is the long way but dont have to run past the stone guardians - run about 2/3 of the way around the zone, and in the southeast corner you should have the best camp spot.

Good luck to all on this fine armor, and be safe while travelling the wall! (Guardians hit hard) hehe
Full set (finally)

56 Druid without Epic and I got a full set -- mostly soloing.

The Elysian Remains range up to 57th level. They don't summon nor cast (watch out for Corrupted. That sucker is a Druid -- 49th level spells are his favorite and the ice nuke is nasty).

They are undead skeletons but imune to fear spells by Clerics, Necros, etc...

They sometimes massively resist so, your best bet is to keep 2 root spells up -- Level 5 and your highest level (yup. level 5 works on them).

Entering the zone from Madiens Eye:
Turn Right.
Follow zone wall to corner -- just passed the "temple" with the guardians (earth elementals) around it.
Stick to zone edge and nothing will see you with camo.

From just passed the edge of the temple around to the tree on the other side of valley is all safe pull area.

Camo up and go over the hill passed the tree staying close to zone wall.

Keep an eye out -- Some of the Fallen Soldiers, Dark Assassins and Netherbian Ragers can see invis and the Fallen Soldiers WILL assist the Elysians on pulls so be careful (the others won't -- I've pulled an elysian through an alien and netherbian before).

Adds = Egress but you will only get adds when pulling.

When pulling, bring to zone wall and pull along there back to valley. There is a pathing glitch near the tree by the safe area where the elysian will turn and start back over the hill so you may have to take a hit or 2 (up to 199 per punch) to get them into the safe kite valley.

Root, DOT (es arms for free DOT -- or equivelent -- essential for this) and repeat snare as needed. Just run it around the safe valley until it drops.

Roughly 1 in 3 to 1 in 5 drops armor. A yellow con takes up to 1 hour to drop.

Notes on other drops:

The bone powder sells to vendors for over 4pp each.

The stones -- umbricite especially -- sell for as little as just over 1pp up to 116pp each.
The NO DROP skulls (4 of them) are part of the Vex Key quest.

The bodies rot between 8 minutes to 30 minutes so, if you have an item, you can do what I do -- toss it out in auction channel for anyone who wants to come get. (personally I tell the "tell me if more stuff drops" to take a hike. I'm not their personal supplier -- just a nice guy that hates seeing good stuff rot.)

Hope this helps.

Ill have to give this a try myself. I've been meaning to try soloing there for a while now but I thought I best at least get to 55 first, currently 1/2 way through 54. I've been in kael forever without any luck on leather bp,legs or hat.

How much harder than the goranga scouts in maidens are they? An even con scout took me a fair while to kill (2 ensnares so between 10-20 mins). Having enough mana to kite for that long is going to be the problem I think. I think Im gonna have to beg a c3 before I try it out.

I do have rowyls bracers(free DoT) and tunare warders symbol(free root). Warders symbol is a great item I'd advise every druid to get one its not hard to get and I use it just about every time I play, probably more than the bracer's dot.

==============EDIT=============================

I spent around 6 hrs up there the other day either soloing(lvl 54) or grouped with a lvl 56 druid. In the 6 hrs (killing 1 roughly every 15 mins depending on con) between us we picked up. 2xArms, 1xLegs, 1xBoots and Foliage Shield which is pretty good going I think. We had no drops at all in the last 6 or so kills.

Pulling with camo is the easiest way to do them, camo up and run within aggro range and then backoff to the se corner, the skeles see invis whereas most of the other stuff dosnt - I did see one giant zel thing that saw through my camo while others didnt. If your pulling pay attention to the piles of bones though - these skeles sit in the same way as a necro pet and can be difficult to spot.

Well in one word Cool. This stuff rocks. Its realy easy to get. First kill legs, 2nd nothing, 3rd arms, 4th nothing, 5th BP, 6th helm and then a long time nothing then a bracer.

So drops are good or I must be very lucky. O btw I did this solo ;)

drop rates are down, from my experience about 1 in 6 drops an armor piece and bracers and gloves are common, really need a lot of patience to try for this BP, but then again, it is one of the best out there
I just got it!

A cleric and ranger friend of mine suggested we hit Umbral plains and see if we can camp the "no drop druid mobs" for me. I said sure but I only have an hour before work.

Killed four mobs and I looted a fantastic looking druid BP and arms. I damn neared cryed on the spot. I couldn't type the stats to our guild, I couldn't breath. It was a fine moment. Twas an extremely lucky pull and drop!

Dunno about other servers, but on Brell Serilis, these things (along with pretty much all elysian armor) have had their drop rates horribly nerfed, I sit in umbral plains for an average of 6-12 hours each day and have only seen 2 of these drop in a 2 week period, I am still after mine, so if anyone wants to let me loot one, send me a tell :P (too lazy to solo that many)

Well just an update, it has now been 3 weeks of non stop umbral camping, and still no tunic, I am getting very depressed, maybe I just have really bad luck?

# Mar 07 2002 at 1:21 PM Rating: Decent
They come in waves. First night I got nothing (soloed about 7 Remains)

Second night we got one leg drop (2 of us killed about the same number as the previous night).

Third night we got pants again and tunic (again 2 of us) off of about the same number of kills.

There was some concern that today's patch may nerf these drops in some way... if you look at the other mobs in the zone and look at these guys, you'll see that there's some obvious differences that seem prime for nerfage. We'll see tonight, but at least we'll have gotten a tunic out of it.

I am a 59th druid and solo these alot now days. Me and 2 other druids from my guild on Xev all got the BP on the same day and within 3 hrs of each other. Maybe luck but I had 2 drop to me with in a hour (let one of the other druids loot the second one) I use these tactics:
Ensnare, root, epic, right click drooms of doom, wing death, rinse and repat as nessary. I used 40 m on the best root/dotted one and 80m on the worst one (couldnt get root to stick very long /sigh)
Anyways, 40 nerfed to 24, I didnt care still one of the best BP for a druid in the game. I will enjoy until ToV BP falls my way.

Basically luclin was made so that people in non-uber guilds have a chance at nice loot. I also suggest you use Immolate and Ro's Smoldering Dsyjunction (or the easier to find lower level equivalent spell line), since it is a skeleton and shouldn't be very fire resistant? I plan on heading over to umbral plains and getting 1 for myself so I can replace my BCP (hey! it does have awesome sta dex and agi! <--144agi!). =) Thanks for info.

Btw, these things have a moderate fire resistance so I would recommend using a fire debuff before casting fire dots.

Hmm a level 59 with a BCP still...Now i dont feel so bad about still using a BCP at level 57 :-)

I have been camping these buggers a lot too and so far gotten all but bracers and the tunic.

Im just woried that Verant will nerf the elysian remains so they summom also. That would end the druids soloing these mobs for sure

For God's sake trade that BCP in for an Ulthork Hide tunic at least, lol. Same cost about. You're a caster, you don't need AGI, and you don't need DEX as much as WIS and mana. Yeah, it's an opinion but I hate those BCP's, lol.

Interesting story:
We go into Umbral Plains and clear out the entrance... There were 15 of us....3 groups of 5...
We then follow the left wall and find a niche to pull to and stayed there for about 3 hours or so, fighting Fallen Soldiers, Dark Assassins, etc.
Int caster gear dropped including some nice leggings (10int is all I can remember) and gloves, and like 4-5 pairs of melee boots along with other stuff.
There were 3 druids (2 others and myself). We start to chant 'Elysian, Elysian' until my guild leader decides to try and get everyone over to the other side of the zone.
We all make it, invis'd and lev'd, and just as we reach the lower corner of the zone, I mistakenly hit my heal social instead of the arrow above it (to change pages).....hence becoming visable and quickly aggroed by 6 and quickly died.
I was soon rezzed to our new camp, and just as I was about to log (was waiting on rez effects), they pull a Disturbed Elysian Remains.
Well, I decide to help kill him so I can gate and log for the night, when the thing actually dropped the Tunic!!!!
Our guild leader was so shocked, he just kept repeating 'Holy S--T!' over and over.
Usually its all need before greed, and the druids included a 54, a 52(me) and a 45...
Each of us had the Brown Chitin Protector, so everyone was just like ROLL ROLL...
first druid rolled 255, next one got 204, and I wound up winning with 658
I was so beside myself I was shaking. Best piece I have ever gotten for my druid. probably best I will EVER get (save my epic....one of these years)
...
I felt so bad about leaving, that I stayed for a few more fights, only to see the gloves drop 2 fights later.
I have to chock this up to total good luck.
I have no idea what else dropped after I left, but I want to go back and try and find the leggings. They would be a great upgrade to my Black Chitin Leggings.
The icon looks like chainmail, however, it looks like a BCP when equipped.

Enjoy and good luck to you all

My opinion
# Jan 28 2002 at 12:58 AM Rating: Decent
I got this last night and was a VERY rare drop... took 3 days of camping to get one. I got it off of the Elsyian of course and here is my opinion is on the ac issue. AC is helpfull, I will never turn ac down but druids have low ac and 16 ac isn't going to help. Yes you may survive a hit or 2 more befor you die but in the long run a hit or 2 is irrelevant. Druid that get hit comes in a few situations, agro porblems which then deserves what happens next, your soloing and root brakes, or a few other situations. My point is if you are getting hit then you can't gate, just because you survie for 2 more hits doesn't me you will get a gate off. These resists though are what druids are hit by. In raiding if you have Agro then it doesnt matter what ac you have as a druid your dead. What druids are secondly kill by is magic... This tunic really is more helpfull to druids though the resists than the ac. It is a good tunic befor the change and good after the change. This is just my 2cp.

King Bulba 56 druid on Prexus

PS What other tunic with these stats that you can get without a LARGE guild, PoF bp's are always merited, same with with ToV/Keal.
Here's what I love
# Feb 02 2002 at 6:34 PM Rating: Decent
I love it when people say its a VERY rare drop and that it took them 3 WHOLE days of camping to blah blah blah....

Do you realize that before the planar revamps druids spent WEEKS (sometimes nearly continuous) in the Plane of Fear camping the Vermi BP??

Last guild raid I was at, I logged for work, and found out that night that 3 tunics and a bracer dropped while I was gone.

This game has gone to hell. Nothing is worth much for long anymore. Now people see Vermiculated armor (even other druids) and ask, "Where does that drop? What is that? What's its effect?, etc."

I remember a time when there were NO triggered effects...only procs.

This tunic is DAMNED nice, and is second only to the PoH/ToV/Kael tunics. Getting this tunic in under a week should make you feel lucky beyond your wildest dreams.

As soon as you get summoned the first time by some uber-mob, you'll understand the difference 16 ac can make.

In all honesty, they should have called this item, "Teaser's Nerfed Tunic". You know it wasn't goning to last. = )

You mean it's gonna kill you in 2 rounds instead of one? Hmm that helps. How about aggro management?
RE: All you whiners
# Jan 25 2002 at 2:14 PM Rating: Default
How about being able to take the beating for the 10 seconds it'll take for the tanks to taunt the MOB back? Our snare and Velious debuffs can build a LOT of aggro VERY quickly, and that extra round or 2 can make the difference.
RE: All you whiners
# Jan 27 2002 at 11:28 AM Rating: Default
Like i said.. learn to manage your aggro. You "taking" the beating and having to be healed is not help whatsoever. You aggroing the mob and havving it move away from the tanks to chase you is not help, and in places it could mean a raid wipeout.
RE: All you whiners
# Feb 08 2002 at 3:07 PM Rating: Decent
It's fine and good to preach about aggro management on raids, but very few of us live by raids alone.

There are MANY times in exp groups when I have to play chanter and ghetto mez (aka root) adds. If the MOBs have promiscous aggro tables, there is a very good chance that I'll be summoned and beat on.
RE: All you whiners
# Jan 27 2002 at 6:58 PM Rating: Default
YOu know...you might as well say that ONLY the MAIN tank should have AC. Why would the other melees need ac if only the main tank is supposed to get hit?
Get real yourself. Sometimes things happen, and everyone could use the extra ac.
You can control aggro EVERY TIME....
Quit thinking you are all that and everything else.
If you think you're perfect, keep it to yourself. No one else thinks it.....

RE: All you whiners
# Jan 30 2002 at 5:27 PM Rating: Default
ALL melee should have ac ofcourse, but seriously... if you're a Druid and you get aggro you're not doing well.
Learn aggro management like the man said, i use debuffs/heals/dots/dd's and i don't get aggro.
By no means am i perfect, but i know what i'm doing
RE: All you whiners
# Jan 31 2002 at 9:50 AM Rating: Decent
Everyone aggros things at times. A few points of AC could mean the time that a cleric gets to heal you or a tank out aggros you.

AC is not overly important for a druid, but it is important to other classes that get hit very often. Tanks, hybrids, and cleric.
RE: All you whiners
# Feb 02 2002 at 6:44 PM Rating: Decent
Horse $hit.

Druids have some of the fastest aggro'ing spells (next to enchanters). Aggro management has nothing to do with it. Of course, it is common sense not to snare and debuff and nuke all in one fell swoop, but you know what? I bet you when I lay down Fixation of Ro and Snare, that ***** is at least going to glance in my direction if not take a charge. Why would I cast these first off? So that a) the melees can be more effective (the ac/atk debuffer) and b) so that when the sucker hauls *** to recruit some backup, the melees can swat him down before he reaches the rest of the troops (snare having slowed him down).

Don't talk about Aggro management to druids. We know, we know. Its just that Verant gives us little recourse, and they make it twice as dangerous by giving us crap AC.

As mentioned above, that 16AC can spell the difference between getting a gate/evac off and not. Don't believe me? I've had SEVERAL occasions when I've gotten gate off while being beaten on for upwards of 150dmg a pop. That extra AC isn't going to deflect the blows entirely, or stop the knockback that might interrupt casting, but it will sure as hell help to ensure you have the HP pool to withstand the beating while your Godawful long casting time counts down.

And, as a 60 druid you should know that Ms. Leafblower.

The BP is now 24ac (16 less) they bumped wis 3 and gave 8 for resists. What ever happened to not retroactively nerfing items---it's no drop.....

After I get a full grp of 6 to camp the place for over 25 hours they go an nerf all the armor.
The AC overall for the armor is about 55% of what it was. They added a little wisdom to all the pieces and think that makes it ok. The armor looks like garbage on a halfling (the forgotten race) with no graphic for the feet and the stats are now just so so for the rarity and level to obtain.

Thanks...

I'd hardly say 24 AC and 15 wisdom is so-so :-) It still beats pretty much all Planar and Dragon chest items for Druids, and it's something that can be gotten with ONE GROUP (even you said so!) from random mobs in an outdoor zone!

The only thing this Tunic is missing is the Triggered effect Regrowth of the Grove that all the other No Drop UBER tunics have.
After getting this drop, I measured it against the others.....
Pretty much neck and neck as far as I am concerned. The only thing that makes the others stand out more.....Regrowth of the Grove.

Somebody please reconcile this patch explanation with the facts.

Scroll to the VERY bottom of the chest armor for all classes. What's the highest AC in the game? 60AC on a caster robe!

All these blathering excuses for nerfing are really annoying me.

It's the same crap every expansion. Put out outrageous drops, there's a stampede to buy the expansion. Then nerf later. Leave a few outrageous items alone, like the Longsword of Ethereal Energy, so the masses retain some slim hope of hitting the jackpot and KEEPING a way-cool item from the early expansion days.
Nerf the hell out of the rest.
Wait a year, rinse and repeat.

We're all suckers with short memories, and our money is better spent in Vegas.
At least in Vegas they're up-front about the nature of the game.

Hmmm
# Jan 18 2002 at 9:19 AM Rating: Default
This is 40ac, 25ac more than druid bp from Plane of Fear. Dark Assassin(the bard/rogue set) BP is 27ac, which is 2ac LESS than bard bp from Plane of Hate. A leather class(druid) getting 13 more ac on their bp than a plate class(bard)? Something's not right here.

Whether it was 40 then, or 24 now, I will still enjoy this item.

Hey idjit, check out your Velious armors and don't compare noob planar armor to armor found in a high end zone.
RE: Hmmm
# Jan 20 2002 at 6:51 PM Rating: Default
Well, the reason i'm comparing with Plane armours is the 'recommended level of 50' tag on this thing, which means that you have to be at least level 50 to get the full ac and stats from the item... level 50 to get a 27ac bp for bards from a high-level zone or level 46 for a 29ac bp from first floor on hate.. you choose.
And i don't mind druids getting a good BP, it's just that the bard BP from Umbral Plains is really disappointing for that class. 2 ac less than hate armour for a drop in a high end zone is really weak. Heck, this druid bp is exactly the same ac as Singing Steel BP.

Your comparison is flawed, Lanerin - you are comparing the 2nd floor hate BP for druids, which is essentially a velious item, with the 1st floor hate BP for bards, which dates back to the original EQ.

That said, you make an entirely valid point abot the reward for bards being vastly worse than the reward for druids in Umbral.

Bard old world Plane bp: 29ac
Bard Skyshrine quest bp: 50ac
Bard Umbral Plains bp: 27ac

See what i mean? Druids get a bp from Umbral Plains that is twice the ac of their Skyshrine quest bp, while bards get a bp that is less ac than their old world plane gear.. now tell me that there's nothing wrong with that picture when considering that druid is leather class and bard is plate.

And no bard hunting in Umbral Plains would consider wearing the Dark Assassin stuff. I got my Hate bp at level 47...

It strikes me that Dark Assasin armor is designed for Rogues (a Chain class) and only as an afterthought tagged Bard usable too (Bards being a Plate class). Since the stats for the Dark Assasin stuff doesn't serve Bards particularly well, I wouldn't be too surprised if they eventually introduced a Bard-only armor too.

Now, about this Tunic -- I'd LOVE to have this! I'm wearing an Ulthork Hide Tunic I hunted myself now, but this knocks the spots off just about every other druid BP I could possibly get (Vermiculated, the Fear armor, is just horribly heavy and rather useless, and the Velious BPs, although they have a rather nice Chloroplast effect, are still way behind this, IMHO).

Soloing I've killed about 200 of these, seen two pairs of the gloves -- only time we saw a tunic was a raid with no druids (yes it rotted).

Just wondering how you manage to solo these, especially 200 :) I have tried nuking using breath of karana only (most efficient mana vs damage nuke we have) and run oom at about 30percent health, and I am lev60 with 255wis plus mana items.

Best way I have found to solo these myself is to epic, root, winged death, breath ro, right click drones and repeat about 6 times until dead. I then gate to wc where I have my cleric waiting on 2nd pc and use manastone/comp heal combo and gate back to Umbra. So basically to kill an elysian it still takes me about 10-15mins per kill :(

Oh well, can't complain I guess, where else can you solo for armour with stats that compete with ToV quest armour hehe

Drops nerfed in Umbral Plains

Very nice bp, hope to get one soon. I was in the zone with a full group of rl friends (2x 60druid, 60war, 56cleric, 60monk, 55wiz) and we were only pulling the 'disturbed elysian remains'. During our time in the zone we killed 33 (yes I was counting lol) and not a single Elysian armour drop, only a few spells, gems and no drop elysian skulls (anyone know what they are for?). A named Elysian also spawned, 'Corrupted Elysian Elder' which casted high level druid spells (nukes, root, etc) and summoned. Though killing him with great excitement also resulted in an empty corpse.

Just wondering how others are finding the drop rate for this particular armour?

Crud, I'm a 55 druid and if very careful I can get one disturbed elysian on the zone wall by itself and solo it. If I get more than one or a shak too I gate. I soloed one.. was fairly easy just took time (zone was empty of players also, probaby making it easier) I also got no drop, in fact nothing.

I was going to go back and try to solo one here and there.. but after reading your post I don't see much point.. gad.. tired of verant an nerfs.
Wow!

Damn this is one of the nicest druid chest peices I have ever seen. There is a guild on brell server called Elysian. Looks like I need to get on some Umbral plains raid :)
