havt to put in my 2c worth sence the world of evertwink as evloved none realy hunts here so it feels likeits almost impossible to get the tunic as it appers to be a rare drop i been soloing the disturbed for, well forever now lots of plat lots of gems but no tunic starting to think it's just not worth it when i can farm and buy better thats not no drop (trade) what ever theyre calling it nowa days, gonna keep trying for the tunic for a bit but after a bout a solid mounth of hunting and im on a lot as im off season and no work atm i just might call it usless just my 2c worth
Just wanted to say that it is possible for someone of a much lower level to gain Elysian Gear. All you have to do is be patient, and wait for someone to call out that it is rotting.
I am a 27th druid, and have been patiently waiting for the drops. After about a week or so, and probably about 8-10 hours of waiting, I have received all pieces except the boots and the crown, and I can definately say, it is time well spent.
Even though there is a level restriction, it seems to increase in stats for every 2 levels you have.
Tips:
Climb up the wall, cast SoW and Inviso, and practice foraging and tracking, you will have time now.
Disregard any thoughts you have about being tough enough to withstand an attack from one of these - you won't.
If you see one coming at you, run as far as you can, as fast as you can, from where you are bound. I, unfortunately, dropped pretty much right where I was bound, and when I re-popped, he got to kill me again. 3 golds and a loss of a level resulted, but that particular night, I gained both the leggings and the tunic, so it evened itself out.
Remember, a lot of pallys are now here searching for Dark Skeletal Remains for their Epic 2.0, so I have a feeling this area is going to become very popular again, very soon.
...will be rewarded with the Elysians. The Tunic can take a little longer, but it happens. Sometimes they come in a rare burst (one friend had 2 drop inside of an hour or so).
Someone else I know just bound themself in the SE corner of the zone and would pop in for solo play or group with a few folks there from time to time. One day he died and popped into UP naked only to be rewarded with a rotting Tunic.
Ran my level 34 Druid out to UP, and camped by a tree on a hillside near -1400, -1300. (Face Vex Thal temple, and go up the hillside/hump to your left..not on the zone wall).
Using my 63 Necro I feign death pulled the Elysian camp over several days of non-consistant camping. There is a "pocket" hillside you can pull into (not the zone wall), near the loc mentioned above, where add mobs will not roam, and you can safely tank a single pull Disturbed Elysian. IMHO the zone wall is a death trap if you are solo, since Dark Assassins, Shak Dathor, and Fallen Soldiers roam up the walls frequently.
Over roughly 8 days of non-consistant camping-->6 Bracers, 5 Gloves, 5 Boots, 2 Vambraces, 2 Crowns, 2 Tunics, 2 Spirit of the Eagle Spells, and plenty of other common drop loot. During a 2 hour session at this camp, based on what drops, you can make from 500pp to 2.5kpp
Some days the entire Umbral Plains zone is empty..other days you will be frustrated by the number of people interested in the same camp. Be prepared to "share" the mobs, and remember that according to SOE's Play Nice rules, there are no camps! Especially two houses full of skellys out in the middle of roaming mobs. Be patient, have fun, and your tunic will drop :-)
My advice, as with most drops and like when doing the noob armor quest. with noob armor jst make a list, get xp have fun, dont focus on one drop. I know this is the tunic forum, and it rocks, but I CERTAINLY dont mind the leggings while im doing my thing, at all. I mean, if your there and getting xp especially, try not to focus on just one drop.
For you Druid's don't get discouraged the tunic still drops. We got the crown last night and the tunic tonight in Rallos Zek!!!!! Both dropped right around 10pm central or a bit before.
Went to UP and decided to try a diturbed elysian at the tender lvl of 49... had 255 wisdom with KEI, but that wasn't enough for one fight... good thing I had clicky snares and dot (spiritist armor) only needed mana for roots once I was low. No armor drop but sweet taste of victory taking one out at 49.. Dropped a level 52 spell and Luclinite for me. . 8-)
From a tender age of 36 my druid was quading in EW when i was in mid med looking at the auction channel when i came accross a auction " elysian tunic rotting in UP hurry up only 15 min left." well with this i quickly ported myself and after invising through ME i finally binded myself at zone in. my first attempt failed as invis dropped at VT and got beat quickly. I knew that this was a rare drop so i invised up and made a run for it. I found the druid who was having fun and looted body for my equiptment then followed him to corpse and looted my first peice of armour. i now have almost all but crown by binding in where people call the pipe. some people may see this as a waste as i could not get the full use till 50 but the stats still are nice and have made some druids "green" with envy when they inspect me. my druid is now 43 and i have had no pc for 8 months so i cant wait to get back playing this char and my main JHINTO the mighty bard of the tribunal.
Jhinto voiceofdestruction 56th minstral of the tribunal.
I was wondering if I could get a list of how rare the whole set is from least to most, in order. I went to Umbral Plains at level 48 to tag along with a guildie who was there on 11/10, he only needed the arms because he already had most of the set. The first kill they made while i was there dropped the tunic and it was mine. They also dropped Spirit of Eagle, which I also got, and a group invis which he got. It was a 60 druid, a 65 beastlord, and a 48 druid who sat there and did nothing. We took 3 out at a time easily. Only pieces of the set that dropped were Tunic and Bracer which I got.
The tunic dropped for me after 58 kills. In that time, I saw 2 boots, 5 bracers, 3 legs, 2 gloves, and 2 arms, most of which rotted. At level 57, no KEI, I could kill 2, perhaps 3, disturbed remains per hour. Considering the ornate leather BP pattern goes for 80k+ on my server, if its even available, this is still a nice item that can be obtained at a reasonable level with a straightforward, although tedious, camp.

Posted:Aug 21 2003 at 1:32 AM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) Okay I am sitting here reading all your posts, i can understand if you are not on firiona vie server but some of u are and are saying, "no one needed the crown so we let it rot" Hello people, there not lore, and there not no drop on firiona vie, PICK THE EXTRA PIECES UP AND SELL THEM! Its a easy 1 - 10 k depending on the piece, Some of you people just amaze me with your stupidness
They are not no drop on Firiona Vie server. However, I seriously doubt anyone who posted that they let these rot was from FV server, so I miss the original poster's point.
just tonight I dinged 53(druid), decided to try some Umbral solo action, and looted my first Elysian tunic. The first pull(my first ever) was a disaster and ended up zoning, but living *knock on wood*. The next attempts were better:
1st kill: [Tue Jul 01 19:46:43 2003] --You have looted a Elysian Bracelet.-- [Tue Jul 01 19:46:44 2003] --You have looted a Indicolite.--
2nd - 5th kill nothing but plat
6th kill [Tue Jul 01 22:50:24 2003] --You have looted a Elysian Bracelet.--
7th kill [Tue Jul 01 23:07:17 2003] --You have looted a Rhodocrosite.--
8th kill - HARRAY! [Tue Jul 01 23:29:59 2003] --You have looted a Elysian Tunic.--
A pretty nice upgrade to the Acrylia Studded Tunic. I also noted that the 8th elysian I pulled was "special". It resisted the first 4 ensnares and whacked me down to 20% before getting the 5th to land. It resisted about half my roots(warden symbol of tunare) and I had 255 wisdom(with KEI). The theory being I guess that it wears the same armor it drops.
As far as strategy goes...I found that I'm better off using WD, BoR, DD, and DoD(bracer rt-clicky). I found that my Drifting death is more mana efficient than both WD and BoR(HP/MANA) with Affliction Efficiency II and Extended Affliction III. So I root, bring up my lizzy, DoT, and then constantly root(I have root hot buttoned and hotkey-ed).
BoR is a manakiller since it gets resisted and fizzles ccasionally. ES vambs and WD is the best manaefficient combo. (though casting DoD can cost you up to 3 ticks of medding if you don't have a horse) But as long as you have the mana, keeping drifting death up is certainly a good choice since it'll save time in the end.
Perhaps because the item description at the top of the page says they drop from a DISTURBED elysian remains, and this person got a drop from a CORRUPTED elysian remains. I assume they wanted peopel to know that the other mob also drops the elysian armor.
BTW, don't try to druid solo the corrupted ones, some (all?) of them summon.
well I have been killing these for ever and am still waiting on the tunic and arms. Since i have spent so much time here I'll put in my 2cp worth.
Best to kill them between 55hard)-60(way easy)
Getting to the camp is a sinch just invis near M.E. and run right out of the enterance and along the wall then arc around V.T. this will put you in what people call "the pipe" nothing roams hear and it is where eveyone pulls their elysians.
Note: dont pull more than what you can handle in to here. Most people are friendly and will let you pull their mob over top of them with no worries (there are typically a few peeps in here any way)
Now there are two ways to pull the Disturbed Elysian Remains first and easiest you put on Camo (Improved Superior Camo if you have it) then run away from the dreaded earth elementals tward the enterance of the pipe. Con every thing around I have found lately that every thing cons indifferent (59 w/ISC) except the Elysians if you go up to them and agro them but not let them hit you then you can stay invis and run over the Fallen Soldiers and the Shack Daxs there with out worry but check to verify. if you dont want to do that then just sit at the enterance to the pipe and wait an Elysian will wander near for the pulling but this takes a while and I prefer to maximize my KEI's.
Second way less popular is to run over the Hill near the Earth Elementals and try to pick them off near the house ruins.
Bring all Elysians into the pipe and dot rot them to death.
WARNING: Everything other than the Disturbed Elysian Remains summon and if you pull from the house you will almost every time get an add which will prolly be a Fallen Soldier.
I finally got my tunic from the 'disturbed elysian remains'. I used to solo these at level 54 but it was very timecosuming, especially the red ones. Totally I have killed about 100 of these or so but never seen a Tunic or Crown. But.. Yesterday I went there (level 55 atm) along with 3 friends; a 62 mage, 61 shaman, a 58 shaman. First I pulled a dark blue one just to see how group could handle it in melee situations but that was definatly no problems in that, so I pulled and yellow and there it was! My shiny flashy Elysian Tunic! I had to take a 10 min break from playing because my hands were shaking from joy! lol.
Too those of you that still are looking, hang in there, eventually it will drop and it will be worth all the countless hours that you've spent there looking for it!
- Ahlorn Ra'Baryth 55 druid on Povar server.
"Never argue with fools, they will drag you down to their own level and beat you with experience." - unknown.
Soloed these guys once in a while for about 3 weeks. Finally got my last piece the tunic last night. The odd thing is, a blue con had the tunic and he seemed WAY more resistant then the other ones I have killed. Way more resistant then yellow cons even. Hope this helps.
Well, since pets wear armor they are given, I'd guess mobs wear the armor they are carrying, even if its not visible. If the elysian was wearing the tunic, you may have been noticing the +8 all resists (my favorite thing about this tunic).
I went to UP with a few real life friends (65 War, 60 Cler, 55 Rog) and the first mob we pulled was a 'Corrupted Elysian Elder'... he dropped Elysian Tunic and a Death Watch Shroud. The Elder was a caster (can't remember which type), he summoned, and I'm certain I couldn't have solo'd it. Our cleric didn't need the shroud, by default I looted 2 decent items on first pull. Spent 2 hours there, 2 bracers and a pair of gloves dropped from regular elysians.
My level 31 druid(was lvl 24 when i started to loot) has everything except the tunic and arms. You can go at level one and get loot. People will tell you.... Oh, this is useless for you at that level. NONSENSE! At fractions of the statistics you get for being lower level... these items are STILL Uber. Just make sure you go anon before you ask to loot in OOC just so they don't start /ooc BADGER BADGER BADGERING you for not being level 50. Get your loot! Well worth it. My druid is bound there.... Make sure your bound in the safe corner up high on the back wall hill. Invis a must to get there but after is not needed.
I was able to get into UP at 34 to loot boots and gloves from rotting corpses. A few guildies (think 61 necro, 54 druid and 48 cleric at the time) were killing along the side and messaged me to come by and pick up what was going to rot otherwise.
The only tricky place I found was the zone to UP in ME. There are 3 spawns there that may or may not see invis; it depends on the mobs that spawn there I suppose, I haven't researched it. Just be sure to /con all three before you barrel past them. If the center spawn can see you while invis, you can still get by if you run as close to the corner as you can get.
In UP just stay as high up on the wall as you can get. It helps to have on either regen or levi as you're running, or both even.
The corpses aren't quick to rot either. I think it was 20some minutes so take your time and don't rush thinking it will disappear before you can get there. Best to run safely and pause if you must than to die and have to start over.
