These arms dropped off the Sunlord for me today in SD. He's on the plateau and he's a revanent. con'd dark blue to 56 necro. waxed his poor undead **** :)
the arms drop off the sun revenant smiter, they are level 44 casters they can hit in the low hundreds and cast yucky DOT's that are around 40 hp a tic. these guys can also drop a sun chalice and a smiter's girdle.
Ya DoD is next to useless post 50, only needed when something is down to one sliver of health and you can sit and med while DoD eats that sliver away over the course of 4 minutes. Plus, I believe the bracers from velious armor have DoD effect + stats, freeing up your arms for nice stuff like this. Thought I'm sure there is better non-wis sleeves out there.
i was pulling a powerful rockhopper to my group but it got KSed, too bad cause just through the name i can make a pretty acurate guess that the powerful rockhopper drops it, please correct me if i'm wrong i just wanted to put a possibility out there
If u think these are good for a druid, u need to slapped upside the head. As a druid myself, level 52 thank u, i use ES, Gota love that unlimited dot. These are best suited for any other tanking class besides monk, cause it is heavy.
Best class Beastlord, Shadowknight, Ranger, Paladin, Rouge, and of course, Warrior. Maybe shaman, but i see wis more important for them.
Well, These *are* good for a druid. Just not for lvl 52 druids with tons of cash. My alt is still in the meleeing stage, and for 15pp (Lanys T'Vyl bazaar), these are hard to beat. Besides - they LOOK cool; I like to have that plate look :)
Zyelor, I have to assume that you don't have a warrior, if you think these would be good for one. In fact, they are not very good for any of the sometime tanks either. The reason: 6ac. No reasonable warrior is going to give up 6 (compared to crafted) or more ac in the arm slot for some strength and 25hp. Yes str and hp are nice for melee, but AC is more important. The main purpose of a warrior is to absorb damage, not dish it. As I see it, the best melee class to use this would be rogue (don't know what a rouge is). Otherwise, maybe a careful ranger/pally/sk/bard, if there is a warrior in the group, but it wouldn't be all purpose gear for them.
On the other hand, the application you are missing is pure int casters. 6ac is actually decent for int caster arms. Also, for commonly chosen int caster races (HIE,ERU,DEF) the base intelligence is high enought that you may end up with int well over 200, and still have the arm slot open. Those races are also low in base strength, and any caster could use extra hp.
I see these as Int caster arms, also rogue and yes, druid arms.
Can I smack you now, mr druid? I had ES vambraces for quite a long time but once u hit 54 (i am level 54 btw) WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU BOTHER TO DOT 50+ MOBS WITH DRONES OF DOOM?! Frankly, I would love these arms since all my other slots combined are 200 so it would even make much of a difference to have wisdom on arms. Besides, the str is excellent and quite useful for me since im overencumbered half the time even with my str buff up! So it depends on how you look at it. FYI i still keep my ES vambraces on me some times just so i wont bother wasting mana when im killing newbie animals for pelts.
