Anybody know the new stats on these guys? I know Ranger was removed and Cleric added, and they added Wis.

Seaxml, I don't know for sure if you're mocking Fialar or not, but if you are, you'd do well to consider that yours is not the only viewpoint in this game. When (if?) you reach level 51, like Fialar, and play a tank, you too would feel the pain of having armor below the standard for your level and class type.

Fialar has a good point; I wore an AC 22 breastplate (guardian bp) until level 52, at which point I was lucky enough to win a Blood Ember bp on a guild raid. I question the methods of having low-to-mid 20's AC breastplates from levels 35 to 50, and then jumping to low-to-mid 40's AC bp's. True, there are bp's in the 30's, but they're hard to come by (or were before Luclin, not sure if that's changed).

Seaxml, you may get better results if you post meaningful messages instead of senselss mockery.

I think what he was saying was that you should not complain at having "only" 25 AC on your breastplate, I guess you could do worse. In your mid 50's you can also do much better. Anyways, you are right that people should not use these boards to "mock" one another for wanting too much, or complaining at having too little. These boards should be (and are sometimes) a place to go to get useful information that you can use to help yourself to be a more effective player in game.
Just my 2cp.

oh, I don't mind getting mocked for my main's class or my 'not so uber' equipment - i know what makes me an excellent player and it's none of that ;)

I -in general- question the rarity of BP and Greaves drops at an appropriate level.

I *could* buy barbed ringmail or something as upgrade - in fact most lvl 20 twinks run around with barbed ringmail - but no matter where you go to get (get like in kill & loot and damn RISK VS. REWARD! and not like in 'sit in Gbay and trade stuff for month til you have 10k in the bank and are still lvl 12') better armor it's always the same: you get 1 kazillion bracers, gloves and boots drop before you see ONE BP or greaves.

Even worse for pallies - noone goes to 2nd floor of hate where pally stuff drops and hate raids vs. fear raids is 10:1. So pallies have a 20:1 lower chance compared to other classes of getting "appropriate" planar stuff post 46.
Oh and we can't wear Blood Runed stuff .. so amongst the 3 tank classes (War, Sk, Pally), we have another choice less to get our BPs and greaves upgraded.

That's why I love umbral plains - 1 goup 50+ is enough to handle the zoneline. Drops so far are not really overwhelming but not that bad either. The zone is usually empty, fun and challenge.
Just BP and greaves drops in general need some major improvement.

p.s. after some more sessions and 100+ killed Moktor the results are:
- 3 gauntlets
- 1 BP
- 1 bracer
- 1 boots

I guess by Verant standards 3/100 is 'drops like candy on halloween' ;oP

Recommended Level?

Could anyone tell me what, if anything, does reccomended lvl on an item do?
RE: Recommended Level?

As near as I can tell, "recommended level" is the level at which you get full potential from an item. Below that level, you get about ( your level / recommended level ) of stats and damage. Possibly (I'm not sure), items with effects (procs, maybe permanent effects?) would not work until the recommended level.

Required level, on the other hand, prevents you from equipping the item at all if you're below the given level.

... and some items have both required and recommended levels. I'm not sure how they pro-rate the abilities of those items.

'common'

Those are the 'common' armor drop off the Moktor. In about 50 kills i've seen 2 gloves and 1 BP drop, nothing else.

Still quite good, considering that for plane or Kael raids you have to roll against 10-15 other melees and Umbral just needs 1 group.
But I have 3 pairs of nice gauntlets in the bank now (silver chitin with haste that I use, Royal Velium Frosted, Gaunts of the Black and those) and still run around with lousy 13 AC legs and 25AC BP - i don't need more nice 'common drop' gauntlets (next pair will have more AC than my BP? ;oP), I need more frequent greaves and BP drops!
