I agree, this be a nice item for chanters with the + charisma along with ac and wis/int. Be also good for bards, who need int and charisma as well, not to mention that all important ac. And, for those of us who havn't had a chance for Western Wastes yet, this be a good thing to have.

At Level 30 The Swifts and what not range from yellow to Red, acctually saw an Even Beserker (tho they don't drop this item) hope it helps

Not sure exactly. I was there trying to get the Greater Guard of Haste, and the whole island was green to me, including this guy. He didn't seem to be harder than any of the other elementals tho, probably not more than 1 or 2 levels higher than the standard elementals...

What level is that mob? I checked the bestiary but only found normal "a air elemental". Any idea what he was at? Thanks

well this is the only "named" elemental i've fought really. he was light blue from what i recall and wasnt a hard fight at my lvl. got the lesser talisman off him...i was happy to just get something since i had been in the area for God knows how long.

I got one last night off of a swift water elemental. It was green to a 51 SK, but based on damage done vs damage done from the normals...I would say this is 3 or 4 levels higher.

Nice item, but if you're a light race, go for a Qeynos Badge of Honor......even nicer. Heck, even dark races can get it ...Qey faction is very easy to increase.

Qey faction is easy to raise for dark races? Heh. Sorry for flaming you here brother, but quit smokin crack. I have yet to meet a dark race who tried to raise their faction in Qeynos that after all was said and done didn't want to go back and lay waste to the town because the various factions that need to be raised are a royal pain in the ***** Go get a Qey Badge... Bah, go get this!

I have a dark elf cleric, worshipper of Inny.. it took me less than 2 hours with the help of a druid, to become max ally with bards, dubious with bad guards, and amiably with good guards. I am amiably with the clerics/pallies in south qeynos, and apprehensively with the clerics/pallies of north qeynos. i am also app with the merchants. i have encountered only one person in qeynos that i am still KOS to, and that is Gash Flockwalker, since he is on SFG factions, and i haven't bothered working them up yet. Yes, it is a very simple matter to raise the Qeynos factions... although raising my Felwithe and Kelethin factions are going to be a pain.

Go kill Gnolls in Blackburrow or Bandits in the Karanas both are all Positive faction and about 1000 gnolls will get you allied. Also Bandits scarves are a faction quest with the paladin guild and the Gnoll Fangs are a faction quest with the warrior guild WARNING Gnoll Fangs are also Negative faction with the Corrupt guards.

Blackened Alloy is much better than blackened iron ... I used to have both on my Druid... when I got the Alloy one I though it was just junk... it took me 3 days before I inspected and noticed it wasn't the same medallion. They came around after a revamping of the Runnyeye dungeon... the same time the moldmaster came around... you know "liberated runnyeye"
Now he uses a western wastes AC5 +4 all stats and +4 all resists neck from western wastes... which is pretty damn nice.
I think this Greater Talisman is nice... but not something to drool over... just a worthy substitute if you can't get blackened alloy or better.

He said Black Alloy not Iron there is a difference, look it up. I would take this over a sarnak arcane fetish for my enchanter though.

Not quite as good as a Blackened Alloy Medallion, but close. Although the extra Cha is nice, but the loss of a couple AC is bad. I'll stick with my BA Medallion for now.
