I was given this at lvl 33...and it added 33 to my AC too?
Apparently, at 26, 1 agi = 5 ac. Wand of Flame has only 2 agi. Perhaps you used it to replace something with -agi? /shrug

Kraen Flameweaver is a little toughy but here are the stats.
Spawn: Top of Plataeu near one of the little huts.
Magic resist: Druid WD, Drones of Doom series was not resisted. Cannot be snared or rooted.
Appx HP: 5,000
Not resistant to fire or cold (Scoraie landed full 2 times)
I'm not sure he is a cleric, but he did stop and I saw the blue rings of healing around him. He didnt cast on me, so I'm thinking he was being healed by the Tro Jeg's in the area. I would recommend a melee/cleric fighting combo or Druid/Wizard combo for killing this guy.

Frankly, my necro melees. He's quite happy to use his lifetap proc to great advantage while his pet taunts the mob off of him.
Sure, the 5 int off of the stein is a negative, but the 25 mana make up for it somewhat, and frankly if I'm in a solo fight and I really need that few extra mana that the int would afford me? I'd have gated a while ago and left Jobobar to deal with it.
Seriously, the only time I go OoM is on large party hunts and raids. And yeah, then I'm gonna want the stein. But seriously, who leaves town these days without a few extra items on them for custimizing thier kit mid adventure? I have 3 robes, 4 weapons, 2 off hand toys, and 2 sets of boots. I'm going to make that *3* off hand toys as soon as I can.
A boy scout is always prepared. And good exp from level 12 to 18. Remember that. Cub scouts on the other hand are green by level 11.
No, wait... the lesson here was: never knock a piece of equipment just because YOU don't have a use for it. Verant didn't make this game JUST for you...

believe it or not i bought this off a merchant in the ec tunnel for like 300pp i saw the int and didnt know the true price of it i didnt care i wanted it so i bought it.from the the looks of it i scored.

you have got to be crazy to not think this item wont sell for 1k. there are only a very few players with this item. I mean +5int and +25mana along with the other stats I mean come on.

hey i don't see why people say this is so crappy i mean the stats are descent and not everyone can get that gbs and such +5 int and the other stats is way better than some of the mid level items for casters i've seen, well just my 2cp

Comparing it to the Stein is kind of unfair, being as you have two hands. Not a bad Primary/Secondary hand item for a caster, especially if you can't afford that GBS or Spirit Tome. Decent Save mod, and that +25 mana can always be useful (in a pinch). It'll probably end up in the 200-300pp range.
I'd think this would be more expensive than a spirit tome. Spirit tome is 6int 6wis last time I checked (had one)... and losing 1int for 25 mana and all those other stats is very worth it. But other than that, yeah.

Drops off Kraen Flameweaver, a named Tro Jeg. He can't be feared or darked, and has had 2 items every time we've dropped him. Drop list includes this, Hooligan's mask,Mask of Antagonism, and more.

Posted: Dec 22 2001 at 1:06 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) ok, everyone saying that 5 int is uber, you realize int is the easiest stat to raise. I know many lvl 22 or 23 int casters with the previous hard cap. Now if this were a priest item, the 5 wis would be uber.

I would use one of these anyday on my enchanter! would be great for pvp vs. wiz's and mage's

geez, you all are just morons, +5 int? whats so crappy bout that? some ppl aren't lucky enough to have uber items, any amount of int for my necro i can get i'll take. verant isn't going to make every items with like +10 int . Not everyone has the time and money to by some of the expensive items ,might not be much, but i know plenty of ppl ( not just nOObs) would mind having a item like this. 8P
