i dunno what u guys are ******** about this guy doesnt hit that much, and even if he did, wtf kinda tank dies from 7k? lol i have killed this guy with ONLY a warrior and a shaman (me) so no excuses !
Look at the dates, back in 2002, when the original post about 2k damage was made, luclin was the new expansion, level 60 was the max, and a 7k tank was pretty powerful.
Remember, this also means there were no level 61+ buffs, no PoP/GoD/OOW gear, none of the newer AAs, etc....

Yeah you really have to look at the dates on these posts. I remember when Lucin raid mobs WERE raid mobs.........I mean now it's all soloable to groupable.....i mean lvl 70 and 16k HP makes a huge difference..........I remember when IV was in my guilds weekly target list.
Ya now IV is laughable but way back when IV was more of a challange(granted not the hardest but still not super easy).

Just a quick note here, when you say things don't hit for 2k, i personally have stood next to someone who get KO'd bye a hit for 2k and if you look on the FoH website, who happen to be the biggest guild in the game, not just my server (veeshan) you will see a clip where one was hit for 6900hps

hmm there s NOT alot of mob who hits for 2k... SOME NAmed from POP ONly.. AoW (hardest mob in velious) hits for 1k1... Emp less... seru less... except mob like RZ or elemtal god/named there ,s no mob who hits for 2k+

mobs that hit for 1k? lol take a trip to tacvi, trash mobs hit for 5k, u dont even wanna know what nameds smash u for
Please pay attention to the dates of these posts. 2 years ago it WAS true that nothing meant to be killed in the game melee hit for 2k+.

Aye, not alot hits for 2khp. Nothing in the Old World can hit for 2khp+. In Kunark, hardest hitting mob is Phara Dar, which is only about 900. In Velious, hardest hitting mob is the Avatar of War (besides Kerafyrm) at 1154. Then there is Luclin, which I don't think produces any 2khp+ hitters, except maybe Aten Ha Ra. In PoP, a fair amount hits for over 2khp+. As far as I know, there are no regular mobs that are Pre-PoP that can hit for 2khp+, please correct me.

Just got wiped out by this dude. He wiped out about 42 level 60 playerz in a guild. We had him down to about 50% life... Will this ever rot? No. Will anyone below level 60 ever see one of these? Most likely not...
Yeah, he is tough, I agree with you there. Our guild killed him with a well balance raiding party of 31 people all level 60. It took us 4 attempts to get him to beg for mercy. :)
He dropped Collar of Tavuel Xakreum , Fist of Acrylia, Fist of Glowing Acrylia , and 3 spells one of which is KEI for our only Enchanter for that night.
It's all about tactics to kill higher mobs, not brute force. Of course it helps to have primal weapons and ToV armours. :)

Yes, I agree he is tough.. Once you have the right tactics though he is relatively easy. We have tekn him with 34 Flawlessly. Obviously we have fought him a few times before and worked out the tactics.

how bad is the aggro on the proc? if its to high...it would be overpowering and well, a class that shouldnt be getting the aggro is doing just that. if thats the case, good offhander

When these named are hitting between 500-2k+ damage, is there always time to FD? Ever here of stfu? Like to see you successfully FD when this guys quading you for this much damage plus all the adds. Loading please wait...

No mob hits for 2k. AoW hits for 1100, but seldom does max dmg. When you have 4500 HP...yes you can FD Vindi, and other hard hitting mobs. Then, there is stonestance that reduces dmg taken to 25 percent and refreshes in only a few minutes. Since you, Kor, aren't aware of this I can only assume that you are not at this level in the game, yet. The argument here is that this weapon is weak because it draws too much aggro stemming from it being too powerful. That is simply ridiculous. Experienced players know how to control aggro, and would use this in their off hand only if they had better to put in their main.
Next time think it through before you decide to flame on a topic about which you don't have all the facts. Hope someone got something useful out of this. I'm out.....

Mobs can hit for well over 2k...trust me.
I've been hit by the keymaster in POA for over 2K while suiciding to make corpses. Dont know why you would actually want to fight him though.

If this is a common drop then could a low level someone get this instead of letting it rot? Or is it one of those things that never rots because everyone wants it?

Since it is no drop, some ppl might leave it, but its not gonna be there for long. someone WILL pick it up, and since the lvl to atain is 55, Im guessing that its not gonna be a piece of cake getting to the corpse

yeah... but gharn's is one handed blunt, so it might not be quite as worth it (seeing that a monks H2H cap is higher than their 1HB)
