Just got to where I can summon this. I don't think I will ever summon this. All the defiant gear puts resistances around 200 each.
Compare this to an ornate adept's scarf (or better), which is what you'll probably be wearing.

I'll keep my White Wolf Hide on my back, but I'll gladly swap out my Fine Silk Shoulders for one of these next raid I go on.

As a cleric looking to get his epic I will be leading many Naggy raids in the near future. This item will make grabing a guild magi with this spell essencial to leading a succesful raid.
Just think if you could get a pickup dragon raid with everyone with 100+ MR and FR gear. This would make killing the dragon MUCH easier.
I've been on 4 unsuccesful naggys raids and 1 succesful. The first 4 unsuccesful naggy raids I was a 45 or lower cleric with aprox 50ish magic and fire resist. The succesful raid I was 47ish and had 100+ fire and magic resist. I was placed in the main tank group, and I kept everyone in my group alive the entire fight.
Just getting this item into all the cleric's hands could change the outcome of the battle. The difference of going oom and not using a single heal on yourself, compared to dying at 60% while spending time to heal yourself 2x is huge.

Well atleast peeps wont be begging me to summon up one of those elemental blankets....sometimes i feel sorry for the druids and chanters in the game...thanks for listening

maybe at 39 people won't be bothering you for this, but at 60 you'll probably be summoning 30 of these on every raid you do. This is the best shoulder resist gear I know of. It makes a couple hundred pp worth of stuff I've bought recently useless. Definately a reason to want mages around on raids.

Agreed, high end raid game it's all about resists for 90 percent of people generally. Unless you a MT, assuming people controll agro properly, AEs are the biggest damage dealer in most raid fights to the person not tanking. Rampaging excluded on the mobs with that. =)
i about cheered in glee when i was handed one of these on a raid. this is a great spell since shoulders is a pretty hard spot to get high resists in...and this one's a real nice doozy.
