Well I was one of them who bought this sword for 1k but deep down inside I knew they would go down soon so I traded it back for a Wurmslayer.
Well tonight I bought one for 200pp, I knew I had to wait. It's going down and it's going down really fast. All night long I've seen people selling them for 500-600pp but I had things to sell before I could buy it. Imagine my surprise when the person replied "200pp" when I sent him a tell asking how much he wanted for it.
A word of advice, wait some more before paying a lot of pp for centi swords, they will keep going down. They are only good mid level swords, the price will bottom out in a couple of weeks. Just wait!

However, these weapons are VERY good. For the price, you get a good ratio, plus stats. I love mine!

Well, as usual, Verant has nerfed this drop, as well as all the Centi Weapons. They are no longer a common drop (As at release of Luclin), and are now a high Rare drop. This should see the prices stabilize in the 1.0-1.5K range for the Short Sword.
Am i the only one that thinks that the Centi line of weapon, is messing up with the mellee weapon marcket? I mean getting weapon that nice for that cheap? Bah, must have been the same when kunark/velious came out.
it was... before kuanrk melee's used bronze up untill there 30's when they got rubicite or quest armor... now you can have fine plate at like lvl 15 untwinked or any other nicer armor. People used to buy and sell FS weps and people actually saved up to buy combine weps(i think thats there name lol) the ones that they sell off the venders that are like FS but magic. People bought patchwork lol! Raw silk was selling for like 1pp per ac and i saw on a old old pic a caster wearing a green silken drape on a vox raide... now GSD sell for like 200pp or less(at the time a flowing black robe went for 200...)
Its amazing how we have all this junk, but back in the day they got by with crappy gear and lvl 50 cap!

Yeah its neat, yeah it gets Oohs and Aahs, but dang. If a group of 20 to 30 people can easily handle a dragon now, where's the fun?
I remember when the Plane of Hate was the hardest place commonly travelled, and if you mentioned the idea of raiding Plane of Air you were laughed at. "Impossible" they said. And at the time, maybe. Hard to take down a ******** plane like that with Ykesha's, bronze armor, and only a couple tanks with haste belts (yeah there were no other haste items....FBSS and SS Belt were it as far as droppable haste items).
*sigh* and now I play a monk with more twink gear than many monks ever saw 2 years ago...

I had two pieces of Ro armor when I started attending Plane raids. Everything else was bronze. Goes to show that uber gear isn't everything! =)

Heheh! Just this weekend, I was in a small group of mid-50's in the Efreeti camp in SolB. Here we were in velious/kunark armor and luclin weapons talking about how dificult it must have been to hold this camp 2 year prior where the best weapon was a short sword of the ykesha and the best armors were bronze/rubicite. Made me kinda miss the good-ole-days.

someone said weight is annoying I was told that as long as base sta is 100 or over you can swing all day long with stamina bar down all the way and it doesn't negatively affect you. Wondering if this is true or if it is current sta over 100 or what. If it is true weight on weaps like wurm and this doesn't matter that much if you have decent sta unless you get annoyed by seeing no yellow in bar /shrug
if someone knows for sure what the rule is on this pls post I'd like to know for sure

This is correct. If your adjusted stamina is over 100 the only negative you have to running out of fatigue points is that you can't jump. I worked hard to get my rangers sta up over 100 so that his other stats would stop going down when he ran out of fatigue points.
Gahhh I was drunk when I bought one of these....thought it was the longsword..for 3k. Doh. Lesson: Dont drink and trade, you might trip and spill your beer.

drops in Ruins zone off from maidens eye. Pretty common id say, got alot of weapons there, one 20/30 2hpiercer with stats

Saw two for sale in NFP today on Mithaniel Marr server. One guy was selling for 2.5k, other for 2k. He said they drop common where he camped em. It looks just like Defiance.

This is an excellent weapon overall actually, specifically for a Rogue. It adds to both strength and stamina while providing decent offhand damage. No, it isn't the best thing ever to come down the pipe (and the weight is a tad annoying) but it is certainly servicable.

The Damage/delay on the Centi Longsword are even better, and so is the graphic. Trouble is, so is the weight. As far as the applications a rogue would use this for, its better than a CSS. I personally use a Centi Longsword in my offhand for the increased damage and str/stam increase.
Very nice for the classes that can use it.. Especially if the level to attain is correct, seeing that many of these classes are still using their Cane of the Tranquil at this level, which is just 11/25 MNK WAR only.. =)

no, the longsword has the look of rekkelos (sp?) this looks like a machete.
Kaladan is correct, the short sword is much smaller looking than the long. I bought the short sword for this reason. I thought the long sword was rather goofy looking!

Well if looks is all your going by then dont group with me im 34 ranger and my cnti short hit for 25 then i upgradeted to 2 centi longs and i wont hit below 35 anymore. This is wonder, dont worry prices will rise again since rarity of drop is very rare was common
Your numbers don't add up. The centi longsword is only two damage greater than the short. If you were hitting for max damage of 25 with the short, You'll be hitting for 29 with the long (maybe 30 with the extra 3 str per sword). Besides, with the offhand centi longsword, you CAN'T hit for 35, since there is no strength or damage bonus to offhand weapons. Nice try though.
My lvl 21 warrior hits for a max of 32 with a centi shortsword (str 165). I bought it for 399pp, and have been unable to find a centi ls for less than 1k. Also, since the centi ss is faster, and the ratio is not that much worse, I'm not sure that the ls really is better for a main tank, since less delay = more taunt.
