I got a Steel-Welded Ringmail Wristguard which is exactly like the one already on Allakhazam, except it has a focus of "Envenoming Toxin IV". Fine; I'm a ranger, rangers don't get poison nukes, so I'll buy one of these contrivances and convert it to a useful focus.
The result was the Steel-Welded Ringmail Wristguard with the "Malaise of the Scorned IV" focus. Well. That's just as useless, since rangers also don't get disease nukes. Third time's a charm, right? Dunno if I'll get a fire focus or a cold focus or a magix focus, but I have nukes and dots of all three types, so surely it'll be an improvement. I throw down my plats and buy a second Contrivance...
The result was the same Envenoming Toxin IV focused Wristguard I started with.
750 plat down the drain (plus what I paid to de-aug the bracer in the first place), and I'm left with a nice bracer with an utterly useless focus.
Does Sony just hate rangers? Still? After all these years?

ok..this is just retarded. how the heck do you know which focus effect you get if you don't core the dang thing? i have one bracer and remembered that i bought the un cored plate bracer second item, so i got another core and bought the first line item and it's the same focus effect. since we don't know the FE before we core it...this thing should work on cored stuffs!!

I put my new Dedicated Steel Bracer in this container and got the you cannot combine this item in this container message....any ideas?

Where can this item be obtained?
Be sure to take your augs out if you're putting stuff you already attuned and aug'd in them, or you lose your aug.

This is used to transform your bracer into a different focus from what i know
using this on glossy silk wristband will make it into glossy silk wristwraps.
the wristwraps, can then be combined a 3rd time to make a 3rd focus, either disease or poison, whatever it didn't have at the start. if you oopsed, the 3rd can be made into the first again with another combine.
no idea if this works for other classes or not
