I know i got very lucky in getting this on my 2nd kill today but it dropped off a bloodmoon warrior in the jail area. I killed the jailor that pats up tot he bottom of the stairs and there were 2 warriors in the next corner. I split them and the one i killed had the earring... I am happy :)
Got mine from a "Bloodmoon spiderfang". Looks like any Orc or Undead in the zone is capable of dropping it. Took me 3 days of root dotting before I finally got one. Definatly not a common drop. Unsure if any of the worgs or spiders drop them.
Upon completion of this task you are given a 3rd task called "repairing the Spiritlight Earring"
- Find the Mines within Bloodmoon Keep - Acquire one of the Mining tools - Mine some of the Mithril Ore - Mine some of the Mithril Ore - Mine some of the Mithril Ore - Mine some of the Mithril Ore - Speak with Acolyte Emyria - Create 1 Refined Dweric Mithril Ore using trade skills - Create Spiritlight Earring using trade skills
Part 1 updates between the room with jailers and the the mining pit Part 2 Groundspawn in the rooms off the mining pit (looks like picks on ground) Part 3 Equip pick and click it behind rocks on SW corner of pit room (top level) Part 4 Equip pick and click it in corner of hallway leading to west off main room Part 5 Equip pick and click it on top of the ramp where the miner is in north middle of room Part 6 Equip pick and click it in NW corner of NE room (has 3 static mob spawns) Part 7 Just hail her Part 8 Combine the 4 pieces of ore in the Glenfallow Consecrated Forge at loc 682, 542, 87 (Near Acolyte) - no skill needed Part 9 Combine earring and ore in any jewelry kit
Bloodmoon Mining Pick LORE ITEM NO TRADE QUEST ITEM Slot: PRIMARY SECONDARY Charges: Unlimited Skill: Piercing Atk Delay: 20 DMG: 8 Dmg Bonus: 18 Effect: Mine for Ore (Must Equip, Casting Time: 10.0) WT: 15.0 Size: MEDIUM Class: ALL Race: ALL
Found as ground spawn in the corner of the side rooms around the mining pit area. They look like picks lying on the ground. The next 4 steps are:
Mine some of the mithril ore. 0/1 Bloodmoon Keep Mine some of the mithril ore. 0/1 Bloodmoon Keep Mine some of the mithril ore. 0/1 Bloodmoon Keep Mine some of the mithril ore. 0/1 Bloodmoon Keep
I tried several spots in the pit, above the pit, in the rooms, around the blue crystals where the miners appeared to be mining but all I got was You need to get closer to the mithril vein. Does anyone know where exactly you need to be to click on the pick? I tried all the places that seemed obvious to me.
On the north side of the main room, there is a ramp up with a miner working. In the very corner there I got the click to work (2nd item updated)
In the NE room with the 3 static spawns and a roamer. The west wall of that room in the middle.
On the south side of the main room, there are 2 miners near some rocks. Between the rock and the wall I got a 3rd.
The click area for each was very small.
The result of this quest line is obviously a part for another quest - does anyone have any information on where to obtain the rest of the pieces and what to do with them?
After completion you are given a second quest called "Calming the Spiritvoid Earring" which has 4 tasks:
-Show the Earring to Acolyte Emyria -Gather some peaceful spirit essence from tortured spirits(need 6)(you get these updates by killing the ghosts on the way to the Shrine. It is auto updated, no looting needed. Is random on whether you collect an essence or not) -Return to the Tunarian Shrine -Speak with Acolyte Emyria
Upon completion of this task you are given a 3rd task called "repairing the Spiritlight Earring"
Hopefully this can be made into a quest entry.... Anyway:
Loot earring, get the quest: "Spiritvoid Earring"
It has 5 task:
-See if any of the fangbreakers has any information about the earring. -See if any of the spirits in the Temple of Tunare has any information about the earring. -Speak with slaves until you find the one that is an Ancestor of Acolyte Emyria -Kill 15 Bloodmoon Orcs -Deliver the new of her ancestors to Acolyte Emyria
Completing this quest gives a fraction of exp(less than blue bub) and a faction hit: Your faction standing with Fang Breakers got better.
The first person to talk to was in Loping Plains: You say, 'Hail, Donart Rithkin' [Sat Nov 17 19:48:47 2007] Your task 'Spiritvoid Earring' has been updated. [Sat Nov 17 19:48:47 2007] Donart Rithkin says 'Lets see. I think I have seen something like this in the Temple to Tunare in Bloodmoon Keep. I think to get more information you will need to talk to someone in the Temple. Larquin Fangbreaker may have a mission that will help you with that if you have not already helped him with the spirits near the temple.'
The second task in this quest you need to talk to Acolyte Emyria in Bloodmoon Temple: [Sat Nov 17 19:50:34 2007] You say, 'Hail, Acolyte Emyria' [Sat Nov 17 19:50:34 2007] Your task 'Spiritvoid Earring' has been updated. [Sat Nov 17 19:50:35 2007] Acolyte Emyria says 'While you have helped us before, I will need you to help me in a task before I will help you with more information on the earring. I feel a pull towards one of the slaves. I believe that one may be an ancestor of mine. Please go speak with the slaves until you find if this is true.'
Third part was simple kill any 15 orcs.
Forth part was finding the right elf slave also in bloodmoon: [Sat Nov 17 19:55:55 2007] You say, 'Hail, an elf slave' [Sat Nov 17 19:55:55 2007] an elf slave says 'Yes. I think I remember something about that. My family has a legend of being from this area, but I never quite believed it. Do you think you can free me?'
Last part you needed to return to Acolyte Emyria:
[Sat Nov 17 21:05:22 2007] You say, 'Hail, Acolyte Emyria' [Sat Nov 17 21:05:23 2007] Your task 'Spiritvoid Earring' has been updated. [Sat Nov 17 21:05:23 2007] The earring has significance to the spirits in the Temple of Tunare in Bloodmoon. Acolyte Emyria has given you instructions on how you might empower the earring. [Sat Nov 17 21:05:23 2007] You have been assigned the task 'Calming the Spiritvoid Earring'. [Sat Nov 17 21:05:23 2007] Acolyte Emyria says 'Thank you. It relieves me that my family line has survived. Don't worry about her as I will see to her escape. The earring will need to be stabilized with the remainder of the peaceful spirit that can be found with the spirits that roam outside this temple. If you wish to do this you will need to complete this task.'
After completion you are given a second quest called "Calming the Spiritvoid Earring" which has 4 tasks:
-Show the Earring to Acolyte Emyria -Gather some peaceful spirit essence from tortured spirits(need 6) -???? -????
After showing the earring to Acolyte Emyria: [Sat Nov 17 21:13:11 2007] Your task 'Calming the Spiritvoid Earring' has been updated. [Sat Nov 17 21:13:11 2007] Acolyte Emyria says 'This should now be ready for your next task. While it might seem cruel that I am sending you to destroy the spirits, it is in fact a mercy. They are tortured souls, stuck between worlds. It is even worse for the ones that have a fragment of peace still in their souls. The piece gets eaten away in the most painful manner a soul can feel. You can save those pieces of serenity in the earring, preserving them and giving them a place to be at peace. I will need to attune the earring to the souls of those over there, so let me have it a moment. Not all of the spirits you destroy will have any element of peace still within them, so do not despair.'
The ghostly essence and the blood icon drop from the undead trash in bloodmoon do not seem to trigger task.
I heard from an anon source that the drop may be from behind a locked door in the Acolyte Emyria area that needs other fangbreaker quest to unlock.
