that was 2001 holloween, they changed a few zone like fear and mob drops that earring and along with other stuffs.

What a really nice earring. Pair this up with an Ivander's(sp?) hoop, and you've got a heck of a lot of wisdom on your ears. Congrats to everyone who got one of these! I was at the events on and off all weekend, and while I got some great stuff, this baby eluded me.
I was about to say, what the hell are you calling this a nice earring for, then I noticed the post is from 2001.

These seem to drop much more often in RM than EK. I was finally able to get one on Saturday in RM from an ooc loc. I know it was off a horse, but I don't know if it was the Withered Mare or not because my friend and I were in a BIG hurry for me to loot the earring and get out of there since looting makes camo drop. Heh.
RM being the harder zone, it's easier to get some of the better priest drops there because it's not as swarmed with players on every fallen monster like EK is when the event is there. I'm still looking for the priest shawl, and it doesn't look like it's going to happen. Even though it does drop in RM it's either across the zone for me and someone loots it before I can get halfway across the zone or the announcing person gives a mislocation. :\

Actually, these earrings drops off the Graveyard Wraiths in Eask Karana as well. Looted one just now Woot!! But watchout tho. There's a lot of A-holes in the zone who would lock the corpse and will not let you loot. Some would even loot it just so that you may not get it. I personally got jipped by the same person 2 times in a roll. Locked the corpse twice even tho i was the first one to arrive and got the looting rights from the players who killed the mob on both occasions.

Got one last night off the Wretched Mare. Myself (35 Cleric) 42 Rogue, and a 29 Druid killed it...he was TOUGH!! Blue to me, but hitting for around 100 to 110. Not regularly tho. Maybe got one in every 5 or 6 hits that hard on our Rogue (Playing tank =P).
Anyway, he dropped 2 earrings, which the Druid and I got, and one Shawl, which the Druid took since I have Adamantite Epaulettes, and it'll be a while until I have to worry about resists. But I'm hoping to get one before the event ends. Oh, btw, mare was Red to our Druid, so he was between 32 and 34...hitting harder than any other mob I've seen in that level range. The named gargoyle in the same zone (Forgot his name, dropped the bard mace when we killed him) was hitting like that, too. Again, blue to me, red to our Druid. Anyway, hope this info can help. We were over by where the Blood Reaver was wandering around. TOO much stuff over there to hunt safely, but how often does this kinda thing happen?

Some guildies and I killed one of the named horses last night in RM and it dropped two of the earrings AND two of the shawls. :)

The Whithered Mare is a named horse that randomly roams in Rathe. To get more named to spawn just kill the other horses. Loot will either be this earring or the priest shoulders (sometimes 2 earrings and/or 2 shoulders will drop).
All the PKs were out in East Karana picking the no drop off of rotting corpses on Rallos Zek last night... All the normal PK hot spots were abandoned lol
I think that was the name. This thing dropped LIKE FREAKING CRAZY in Mtn rathe off them.. like they almost always had and tons rotted even though people called them out.
I got one then another one I killed had 2, then another one, etc. It wasn't so much that we were trying to kill them in particular but you'd pick a spot like where the bandits usually are on that hill with tents and stuff would keep coming and spawning like CRAZY.
My 55 druid and a 60 necro and 60 warrior were grouped and basically almost dying constantly at one point since no real way to gain mana it was so fast. They were all green but seemed pretty buff.. I'm guessing level 35 or more? I heard a
3 ac 3 wis, wis caster plus 10 like 3 good resses shoulder thing dropped off the mare too and that was what I REALLY wanted =/ But I decided to wear the earring some instead of one of my blue diamond earrings which I'll just put on when NEED resses, cause its fun to wear something new.
Really this item is QUITE good for a druid at 4 wis, 20 hp and 20 mana. I'm glad that a lot of low ones came to the zone who could not have killed the stuff themselves and got these earrings ;) (I saw a druid and dragged him over to loot ;) )

I saw the shoulder item drop twice, both times off the Withered Mare. Its 3wis 3int 10cold 10fire 10magic, dru clr shm. There is no ac, but it has nice resists.
Got the shoulders for my hubbys druid off a spider in EK on Test server Tues night :)

I got one of these and left 2 behind. Great earring. Had a couple friends get them too. Rathe mountain Halloween event,this and the other items were dropping like crazy, but there were 220 people in the zone.
