These were some of the best boots for an iksar shaman before the new planes of power crafted ones (night terror). I still think they are uber for the ac vs stats. Good all around stats. Seem to be very rare or atleast for the zone in part of chardok. I have camped there alot and only seen one pair dropped. I upgraded from my epic quest boots which I can still cast the sow from my inventory.
Awesome for any shaman, these balance AC and other stats quite nicely. I traded some nice gear for mine a while back, about 2k worth. These boots have a great combo of AC and stats that still serve me at 58 and probably to 65. I do use JB boots for the AGI buff, epic boots for mana free instant cast SoW, and Shrouded boots for selling and tradeskilling. Yes, I carry 4 pairs of boots with me lol. Nice boots tho if you only can get one pair due to money constraints.

Ok I bought these boots awhile back and i love them, but tonight I got corroded chain boots on a kael raid, so do i keep these for stats (and MQ the boots for a guildie) or quest runed scouts boots for ac. My instincts tell me to keep these just want some input.
Was thinking to buy GEB but when i saw these at bazaar for 1,5 K,I just jumped on it. Much better than GEB stats wise and perfect for cleric ; good AC, stats and resist too.
I found these for 150 plat in the Bazaar last night. One person selling for 1500 and one for 150. Once I checked the stats I ran as fast as I possibly could to nab them before someone else could.
Even 1500 seems underpriced though compared to the pricing info here. Can anyone offer some thoughts on their current value?
as stupid as this may sound i think ALL prices are taking a drop. With how easy it is to just set up shop in the bazaar and walk away from your comp there will be more merch selling now they you would find in EC even on a busy night. SO like RL the more people selling the lowwer prices go as people try to win your business. The only exception i can see to this is for the harder to get items like lammies they are still running about 2.5K, along with other high end gear.
We were raiding chardok with 7 groups to do Cleric Chanter And War epics and these nice lil boots dropped after a battle that leveled most our healers and mezzers.. Argo in this place is nuts.... well we killed the prince at this time so I have no earthly idea which mob they came off as they were everywhere.. But I can say they dropped for us near the prince.. Well I had no idea I would get the boots as i was the lowbie at the raid at 50.. but damn they are not bad, alot better than my dwarven work boots. <synch> is a great guild and a even better mentor on Vazelle sever they walked us <DoD> through the raid. /cheer SYNCH.
Well i just got a pair of these today. Been to chardok 2 times, died both times once got the monk epic pipe, next got these. On my Ranger i think they are pretty good, I like the graphic nice to get some plate graphics after all that chain dress lookalike stuff. Especially after going a week or so with no boots. Before that i had seb scale boots so these are a good upgrade for me.
Our group was pullin to the zone out today and a pair of these dropped off a reg. mob. I got em and promptly switched out my Black Fur boots for these ( since I can use the BF boots in inv). Very nice upgrade for me and was quite happy to win the roll.

This is new random drop item in Chardok. Have seen it drop twice - once in the tunnel above the slave cave / captain room, and once outside of Korocust lair. Both times dropped off 'normal' mobs.
Looks like blue plate armor when worn. Nice shammy plate armor on my feet :)
We had this dropped by an Elite "A Di'zok Elite"? down at the entrance to the castle. It appears that this and the tribal war mask are dropped by normal mobs since we had the mask drop on a Cryptmaster. Of note, when you hit the entrance to the Castle, the point where you find the Imperial Constructs...the repop time switches to 28 minutes.
boots own dude. my thurg quest boots are like 18ac 3wis 5sta eff: invigorate...
So basically my resists suck *** cuz only kael legs, ss bp, ss legs have resists on them, so I gotta find items like this to up my resists... Especially lacking magic resist as a shaman.
There are only 4 good wisdom / mr items shaman can wear 1) spear of fate 2) poa shoulders 3) some spirit hat from dn 4) these boots
There are other kinda crappy items, but basically anything with more than 10 total wis/mr is impossible to find. Basically every sham should be wearing these boots.
I'd say the class that would benefit most from these boots is rogues. Rogues get hit less than other tanks, the ac isn't bad for them, not great but not bad, and the resists are always useful on raids, save vs magic is priceless when trying to avoid being slowed.
That's not to say that other classes shouldn't roll for it or won't benefit from it of course.
These boots look sweet. My 50 cleric is still wearing bronze boots. I'd wear these in a heartbeat. Sure the AC may be a bit light, but the stats and saves more than make up for it,
Guys, at higher levels, all of your stuff is raids. I know that one of my online friends was telling me he had like 1200 ac or something, then I was wondering what happened to his armor, cause it looked underpowered. Well, he had alot less ac, but his resists were so high, then again, it was a pvp server, but he was in one of our big guilds, and he constantly did raids. Resists are key over about 53 when mass groups are a factor in leveling.
Perhaps for one of your stature and connections these boots are merely so-so. As a 49 cleric in a very small guild, I have only gotten in on one Nagafen Raid. I can only dream of planar gear. So for me it would definitely be a special item. Of course it is not likely I will be very much in Chardok either so probably only dreaming of these also. Still doing the forever camp for Aegis of Life.
I don't play one, but I feel like I oughtta ask anyway.. Why no iksars? Seems like with the tribal war name, the primitive races (barb, troll, ogre, iks..) should all be able to wear these, just IMO..
Who are you calling primitive, Warmblood? By the time your ancestors grew an opposable thumb, mine had most of Norrath colonized...
Varanus Exanthimaticus, Squire of Greenmist
/roleplay off
Actually, there are a lot of armors Iks can't wear that other races of the same class can. VI compensates for this by making a huge amount of Iks-only armors that they can quest for in the early and mid-levels...
Ok then how about this. We where manipulating necromancy even befor the dark elfs did. and have still intact records of times of the combine empire while all you scaless freaks have are legends and supurstition. one more thing our warriors actualy learn to read AND have historians and librarians while all i can see in you warrior guilds are big muscle idiot going around showing their shiny plate mail to oneonothe. lol p.s.: and beside our conquering the rest of Norath would only be a matter of months if verant actaly allowed races to conquer one another hehe
Actually, I think you'll find Erudites reinvented necromancy... that's what caused the war against Erudin and the Heretics, the creation of Paineel, the Hole, and such and so forth. You, you were just inventing sarnaks, pfft... like we don't have enough level 20 mobs that aggro on you regardless of level and have a one in 50,000,000,000 chance of dropping a decent item, causing players everywhere to go prematurely grey and have a brain hemmorrhage while trying to get an item to make up for their classes inability to function effectively without a pet druid following them around 24/7.
Where was I? Oh yeah, "Erudites > Iksar". Sorry, but it's true.
