Nope this cannot be recharged with a mana battery. The only things to my knowledge that can be recharged with mana battery are tinkered items. So if you see an item that has an effect and wonder if its rechargeable look and see where it comes from if it is tinkered you can recharge if not you can't.
A much easier to obtain yet comparable item is the Horned Beetle Mask from Hollowshade Moor. With stats: 6ac +4str +3sta +6pr +6dr and 5 charges of ultravision (and weighs .1 stone), it would be easier to loot two of these than just one of the Stained Cloth Masks.
If you'll search this very same site, you'll see the Horned Beetle Mask is Lore.
You'll also find that the usable classes on the Horned Beetle Mask are limited to "Warrior Rogue Monk Bard Shadowknight Paladin Cleric Shaman Ranger", which is a far cry from All/All.
So with the Horned Beetle Mask, int casters and druids and beastlords are left out of the usability.
This is a much more desirable item for 'utility'.
For the stats, however, depends on your class and personal taste or stats needed on a face item.
this mask is lore also, plus, most of the classes you listed as not used by the Horned Beetle Mask can if not all, make/cast their own vision spells so they would have no use for this mask (not sure about BL's) and please, it isnt to hard to ask any mage 16+ for a heatstone or coldstone.
My druid is enjoying its bone mask of the jarsath but she'd love to get this for my dark elf cleric twink (yeah, even though the twink does not need the ultravision.)
A person selling this in EC had no idea what to sell it for when I asked, nor did I. I wonder if since my dark elf does not need the ultra if I could buy it for less when it was out of charges?
This item drops from the Bridge Guardian in Chardok.
He is one of the new named mobs in Chardok. He spawns in the niche right by the two bridges (outside of the captain's room). The placeholder is called an Ancient Guardian and looks like a larger-sized stone golem. The Bridge Guardian is even larger (twice the height of characters, at least). He drops this regularly as common loot. Don't know if he drops anything else.
We dropped the Bridge Guardian as well last night on Povar and he dropped a Jade Inlaid Earring. Just thought I'd add some info for those wondering. I was playing my barbarian warrior when we killed him, and he towered over me. Fun to kill though
