Got mine off a vendor in Halas today for 70plat and change and my 16 lvl Shammy loves it. Was wearing Frozen Mantle, guess I got a good deal.
Got a pair tonight off of a vicious chokidai in Chardok B: Halls of Betrayal

I have hunted Chardok about 9 rl hours ttl, so far loot has been 1 withered staff ( My 52 chanter loves it) 1 Sarnak battle shield ( TY konst & G/G) 1 Burnished wood staff ( veeshans key quest) 1 narsath Vambraces ( TY givinglife & Sokretiz) 1 ivory Imbued collar ( ty guild) 1 Stave of shielding ( Sokretiz you looked so funny when it was gifted to you you silly monkie).
I lost rolls on 1 narsath vambrace ( got 2nd) 1 sword for SK, did not roll for war boots or 2nd or 3rd SBS, & smiled as we all looted BWS for veesh key)

& last never least to Thuul, & Zagi, for being up at 6am when I still want to hunt more ))

Hit Chardok zone in with a group, me level 47 shammie, 48 druid, 51 warrior, 51 warrior, 49 shammie, 58 cleric.
We were there roughly 1 an a half hours an had 5 rare drops happen. it was perty cool. Third one was htese shoulders an they nicely replaced my Lizzie Mantle. =)
The other Shammie didn't want because he was an alt an could get better with his main if he wanted. Woot!!

7th shawl has this beat easy, first its resists andit has 1 more ac and its mana regen is just 1 mana per tick less then clarity at top casting

Noone says anything else I think. But you obviously haven't done the shawl quests and know how hard that last parts are, and how time consuming it is. Also, the 7th shawl's mana regen is 1 mana per tick, not 1 mana less than clarity (which is 7 mana per tick at lvl 35). So for your local shammy, this is a vey nice item. Too bad about the rather low ac though.

Great shoulders, forget doing all those annoying shawl quests this has just about all but the 7th+ beat!
This would basically be equal to the 7th coldain shawl except for 2 points.
First off, the shawl has a mana-regen component, equal to breeze i believe.
second, verant has stated that the shawl quests will be ontinues on to 10th level or so after they finnish up Luciln.
But this is still a nice alternative to anyone who cant afford the time, or doctor bills from carpotunnel (SP).

ac 6? might make the resist gear setup.. but no way would I wear it in normal situations...
So what WOULD YOU wear in normal situations? Please dont say Coldain Shawl 1-any, because those are a completely different type of item. I JUST got these at 52 and finally replaced my Lizzy mantle, so other shoulder suggestions would be appreciated.

A good shoulder item for Troll and Ogre shamans. Basiclly Adamantie Epolets for Shamans minus a few AC..
the saves make it quite a bit better then epolets or ivy chords though.
