i personally like this for overall stats i'm almost always encumbered and am also in need of AGI and AC cuz well druids don't get much in that department. 14 wis on it is also pretty awesome. As far as ppl going nuts on the ensnare effect i just don't see why, ensnare is 35 mana, i cast my 75 mana root if I even have a speck of mana. I think the average for druids at lvl 55(appx lvl u'd get this) for mana would be 2700 mana or so. I'd definitely use to originally snare for pull or be in a group but as far as using several times on a mob that is giving you trouble snaring or not having ensnare memmed. All and all if I had a desision between a sarnark battle shield and this I would definitely take this.

Correct me if I am wrong, Ill get yelled at for not doing the research but isnt Woushi a "nice dragon"? tunare friendly? IF so why is this bow ranger/druid? sorta like killing tunare's pet bear for a weapon that only her followers can use
Nope. Wuoshi is on CoV faction, not Tunare.
Well, I don't know. But if that IS true, wouldn't it make sense for Wushi to own this item. It's along the same lines as Druids who are not supposed to kill animals, but can only wear leather. Luckily this item is tradable for the true role-player so you don't HAVE TO go kill him to get it.

The casting time is roughly 2.5 seconds, so slightly longer then a normal "Ensnare" spell. But the best part about this shield is that it free's up a spell slot! :)

This shield is another addition to the "make us group friendly realm". Combining the Epic, Velious quest bracer/ES Vambraces, Tanglewood shield and any of the effect Bp's allows us to be group friendly. There are a great deal of combo's out there that allow us to group up and be effective. I can do over 2k in damage, snare and still have mana for healing/nuking. Hope all of you out there use these tools to enjoy grouping as well as solo'n.

With the upcoming Luclin spells for druids, we become even MORE group friendly. :) Group Skin like Nature and Group Camo. /cheer
I got one of this few days ago when my guild (Promethian Order) killed Wuoshi. It's a great item for group fighting, save a lot of mana when combined with ES Vambraces. Ensnare, Dot, or vise versa. Anyway, this item just looks great on me. Thanks PO for getting me this awesome shield.

How many rangers post 50 use a shield with MELEE OR CASTER stats, i know we could use resist shield, but umm for meleeing? Would be nice to just switch in hand to use, then remove for battle:)

Yes, go to the Fashion Tables under the Equipment menu.
The graphic when worn looks exactly like the red shield icon in the picture above.
Finally, first item I've seen for a druid and a rng. Bout time since rngs are druid/warrior hybrids. Awesome grafic verant! finally, being creative! Even tho I don't use a shield, this would rock. Personally tho, I wouldn't ever try to get it. If I somehow got it from a huge awesome raid, I'd give it to a druid. They use shields, most rngs don't cuz we get dual weild.
What do you mean MOST??? Have you ever seen a ranger post 17 with a shield (tradeskills aside). Druid only, if none there, give it to a ranger to get tradeskills up.
Uhmm....bout time? Give me a break...this is a shield man. This just SCREAMS "Give me to a Druid!". The odds of rangers even being allowed to roll on this, much less even WANTING to roll on it...just wouldnt make sense.

My guild got one of these on their raid in WL and I got myself one for free they killed Wuoshi twice and only one of these shield droped.

Wow, that would save us Druids A LOT of mana. No snaring... Plus, we have ES Vambraces...The only mana we'll use is the mana for stackable DoTs... Wow! So nice!
