20 years after this item was released with the original game they have nerfed it to uselessness. What a bizarre decision.

So now for all those lowbies smart enough to hunt in Guk (huge exp bonus) you also get decent tribute for the level. This little item is worth 240, for example.
it is a great item i am wanting one my main prob is my race is not liked in guk being i am a lightie and it is a pvp server umm and on top of that it is often easier and alot less stressful because it is rare drop to find a good drop spot i will not give any sugestions but i am sure you know em and take a few hours at a time and bring in up to 300 on one run of loot by the time you got 1k or whatever you will be able to go to bazaar hunt down cheapest one buy it and you are rewarded
its a game dont blow a blood vessel from items not dropping its stupid if it is not nodrop find an alternative if it is good itll be found in bazaar if not there various zones i am sure just dont go nuts cos you killed 40000 gaz squires if you get exp what else do you need if you want the rare drop go find a sweet spot camp greenies and rake in the plat

Guess what... went to squire room for exp, was there about 10 minutes lterally and BAM, theres the sqire with RBF... beat his head in and got it... very happy =)

Ok now there seems to be a huge amount of hype about this weapon and I really cant seem to figure it out. All it is is a piercing weapon with a REALLY crappy ratio. It has no proc and only a few decent Saves. Are these saves actually worth over 800pp? Somebody pls explain what is good about this weapon

This item is not actually used as a weapon, however it is a great resist item. On a PvP server resists are of the utmost importance. 10mr and 10cr will lessen the chance of ice comet landing by 3% and will lessen the damage by 3% or so. If you're at a raid in which the mob casts an ae fear or an ae firebomb etc etc, resists will come in handy.

It fits in your ranged slot, you don't use it to fight with, just put in your ranged and gain the resist boosts. But its an insane drop now, I spent about 19 hours there till I got it. He had 9 Ph's in a row at one point, and he dropped it maybe one out of 15 times and is an 18 minute spawn.

I've killed this boy about a dozen times and have only gotten those darned undead collars. Then one day while I'm in Grobb, a young troll started looking to buy or trade for some old gear - I ended up giving him 2 silver fire opal rings - total cost to me was about 105 plat (chanter alt made them) and worth every copper.

Can someone confirm that this still drops on the regular servers? I tried to camp it, got 10(!) neck pieces and never got the RBF. Thanks.

I camped the Squire for 6.5 hours. I killed the Squire 8 times. The eighth time, the Squire dropped the Runed Bone Fork.

UPDATE: I finally got my Runed Bone fork on the 11th try, and 17 hours worth of killing greens.
But when I took my lvl 20 cleric with me, my friend and I spent 1 hour there, the squire popped twice in a row, both times dropped the runed bone fork! There are certain spawns that seem to drop the rare drops a bit mroe often if you have a char thats similar in level to the mob. This has also happened to me getting xegloz's fang. 3 level 60s camped that spawn for 8 hours, without a single fang dropping, the moment we got some upper 30s char in there killing, it started dropping very frequently.
Maybe I am just imagining it after camping the squirt for 17 hours getting it, and then my cleric gets one but couldn't even use it. LoL.

lv 30 sk got this with np casted invs on my self and just sat there ....15 mins went by and it spawned with it on..... u can see it on him when he spawn with him.....just becarefull if he runs he runs into a room with shamans that don't attack you if ur high enough but they will heal him....which is pain in the @$$ so just root or dark him :)

Does the squire spawn in the room with the boards at head height kind of near the necromancer?

It spawns right outside the ramp room and its on a 18minute timer.

I'm a Vah Shir beastlord on one of the PVP servers, and I'd dearly like to get this item. But can I equip it? Can someone who has it post the (hopefully) updated class/race list for it? Thanks in advance.

Im getting this for My Bard. heeeeelll yah its worth it brainplay (you noob) Resists are Important for Everything If Some one Sold it to me for 800pp I would Take it.. Although right now Im poor Spent 2k on My bard have 300pp in bank lol.

Bloodstained fang is 9/32 and it isn't even this expensive. Sounds more like some nOOb bought it real expensive and posted the price or someone intentionally boosted the price posted here for their own benifit. You can't even offhand it, its only good for range and primary. Sorry, it better have alot more than this if I'm going to be paying that much for it.
You must be kidding... This thing gives you +10 resists to magic, fire and cold... AND it fits nicely in your range slot.
If you have EVER been to any high level raid, you would know that resists are more important than anything else. When that high level dragon is chain-casting an AoE fire spell that does 400 damage, even though you are so far away your arrows can't reach it, then you will realize just how useless AC or damage/delay is when the 400hp hit can be reduced to about 80 with resist gear on.
When I fight caster mobs, I put on all my resist gear. No caster is going to hurt me with their fists (if they even have fists), so AC is useless. I need a way to turn that 250hp frost slam into a 38hp frost slam. Off with the Skull Shaped Barbate and on with the Froglok King Crown. Off with the Orc Fang Necklace, and on with the White Gold Necklace. Goodbye Ry'Gorr Battlemail, hello Netherbian Chitin (used to be Dwarven Ringmail Tunic before Luclin hehe).
The proof will quickly become self evident. A close call against a light blue caster mob now becomes a joke.

Hey dude, you checked out the resists, this little fork thingy is worth 1k, Im playin on VZ and magik resistance is important, the only "nOOB i see is this brainplay kid
Funny that you used "nOOb" as an insult, since the only one I see here is you, brainplay. No one gives a rat's *** about the 5dam, 29del and what a lousy ratio that is, since no one in their right mind buys it to use as a weapon anyway. It's a range slot item with +10 to 3 resists.
The above price is pretty accurate. You just aren't knowledgable enough yet to realize why. When you finally get high enough level to start going on Vox/Naggy raids (just to give an obvious example), you will understand the value of this item.

I'm a warrior, and if someone said 'How would you like a range-slot item that gave you 10 to all your major resists?' I'd jump at the offer. 500 - 1k is worth those resists, especially when it's in the range slot.

ok i'm a 40 wizard, and yes i waz pharming it (only to kill time) i waz in guk helpin a guildie kill mutant to do her quest. and after the kill i'd just run around all the PH's that weren't camped. well her comes the info on squire (wich i found out from a nice sk, and i just proved it to be right) when he spawns if he's holding a speer, he'll drop it (might be the fork, i've never seen it equiped) if you dont see him with it, u'll just get a necklace or the ussual frog drops.

Pally's don't get only two handed piercing. There are also a limited amount of one handers that allow us to bash. Crystal Grinder is one example, allows you to train without losing the ability to stop those pesky casters.

Was wondering around in Upper Guk today and saw a Froglok that looked like he needed killin, this sucker dropped. Just lucky I guess.

camped this sucker the other day and got it the second time squire spawned... just lucky...camped it today killed 4 squires and 7 placeholders no fork..

I sat in this camp for 9 hours straight, and the thing didn't drop ONCE. I got a whole PILE of Collars of Undead Protection, but no fork...I was HOT.

Went to check out Lguk to see if magus was camped. On my way through Upper Guk via lower i passed the squire. I noticed he wasn't camped for a change so I wanted to see what the big deal was (why I see ppl camping him all the time) So I killed him.
I kill him, and guess what? He dropped the runed bone fork.
I didn't even know how amazing this thing was. Oh well... begginers luck I guess.
