I paid about 2.3k for these a couple days ago, on Veeshan. The next day, someone was selling them for 1.8k, because he needed the money =(
Wish I'd waited a day, but o well, even though the haste doesn't yet work for my 17 BST, I'm still glad I got them. Besides, now I can go to Velk's & maybe farm another pair =)

haste stacking
Ok I know that item haste will stack with your best song/spell you have on, but how,
say you have a haste of 22% on item (SChW), and 28% from a spell effect, and using staff of the wheel (100 delay) https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=118
are the two hastes added together (e.g. 22% off this and another 28% of a song for 50% total) to give a delay of 66.6...?
or
is the new delay from the best haste worked out:
28% from song:
100/1.28=78.125%
then 78.125/1.22=64%?
I know it is a miniscule difference but it would be nice to know

I think you are on track with this thought but not quite accurate. As I understand it, the two hastes would stack, so 22% + 28% = 50% haste. And using the 100 delay weapon you mentioned, this would make it a 75 delay weap.
You have to take the haste divided by 2 then subtract that number from 100%. The resulting percentage times your delay is the final delay of the weapon. In simpler terms...
50%/2 = 25%
100% - 25% = 75%
75% x 100delay = 75 delay
100% haste would mean you hit twice as fast as normal - so the weap would be a 50 delay.

your final number is correct but the easiest way to calculate the haste is add up the stacked haste, say SCHW 22% and Spell:Celerity 50% so a total of 72% haste. Take the delay of your weapon and divide it buy 1+total stacked haste. so the 100 delay item talked about would be 100/1+.72 100/1.72 = 58 delay.

What look do these have is it plate or cloth or chain of leather. And color... any help would be apretiated.

they have no look, they show up as if you were not wearing gloves at all

Not sure about the look on the old models, but on any of the new models it looks like you're not wearing any gloves at all, just your fists.

Ok im planning on twinking a SK with a Massive Dragonclaw Shard and some other goodies(crusty and a very nice sheild) but what i need help with is if it is worth the extra 1k on my server between the FBSS and the SCHW. Thanks any help would be appriciated.

it's only 1% increase over FBSS haste. FBSS has 21% and SCHW has 22% Personaly I just went and farmed the SCHW. It's an extra little bit and as I see it every little bit helps. if you got a level 52 toon, then you can get this with ease, just take 2 or 3 friends along and you'll have it in no time, took me and 2 friends about half hour to get one for my monk, heaviest item I got for him at 1.0

Okay real fast, for you those of you that are slightly confused, or those that just want some more defined information on haste, haste %'s, item's with haste, stacking infromation, and haste spells and songs go to this website. It is by far the most comprhensive site on the subject that I have ever seen. It also includes information on how to find your new delay of a weapon after being hasted

do you need to be of a certain lvl in order for the haste to kick in. ie. would twinking a lvl 1 notice the haste benefit?

it hastes at any lvl but im not sure if haste gets better as you grow higher

Incorrect. Worn haste only becomes effective at (haste% - 1) level. These are 22% haste. They only become effective at level 21.

Whats FBSS? and SCHW? ... I am warrior all I wanted was a haste item to help when I solo... did I save up 3k and just buy something that is NO use to me??? ahhhhh *crying*

Heh...just got these for 12pp from what we believe to have been a GM event on the CT server...around midnigh CST, a small band of gnomish pirates came through OT (was on my way to help a ragefire kill) and they were basically threatening your life, or give up all cash on yer body. SO I gave my my money..conned db at 56...and VERY tough (some poor 30 bst got the one to 99% hps then died..heh).
Seems the more money you had on you and you gave up, the better the items you got. some people gave a few gold..got nothing...a friend gave out 1pp and a velium bracelet (the +30 mana, and 8 or 9 to all saves one)...I handed 12pp...got a pair of SCHW and a bag of tinkerers...10 slot, 100% WR, non-lore, non-magic....rather interesting thing...didn't know GM events happened on CT anymore..

Kinda off topic, but i was wondering what the relationship to cons r between different levels, if my friend Tidykat there conned a MOB dblue at 56 is it the kinda MOB i, at 42, could take with a group?

FBSS does not give AC or other stats, but with SCHW, you can put nice waist item on with great AC, like a spider fur belt, per say, ... so yes the stats are important. On the other hand, the FBSS did stack with the monk epic so hands would not be the only haste item I looked at, ... as a monk. Just my 2cp worth.

Ive seen these run anywhere from 3K-4K in the bazaar. If you are thrifty like I am, hold out on them until you see someone selling them for 3200PP or less. Last night there were 3 people selling them for about 3600-3900PP but having seen someone selling them for 3200PP earlier in the day (when I didnt have the cash for them), I held off the purchase until this morning.
Logged into the bazaar and saw someone selling them for 3150PP and snatched them up quick. So at least on Mithanial Marr, anything up to 3200PP seems to be a fair price.

Got these on my 52 monk and had Fbss before i got the SCHW's as far as speed i can't tell the diff BUT like some of the other post said the stats on the SCHW make it a better choice all around besides it will allow you to put some other stat producing item in you waist slot and keep your speed with the extra of the stats on the SCHW!
FBSS is 21% haste, SCHW is 22%, so they are pretty much the same speed. The extra stats on the SCHW make it a helluva lot more expensive though. FBSS's go for around 1K-1.5K tops.
I feel like a moron. I have seen them go as low as 2600... or I think 2800? and I should have snagged them right then. I had a brand new 10k my friend handed me for my birthday. I Personally think the FBSS is WAY over rated. no stats and there are other haste items in game and the SCHW have nice stats. Besides you can quest for the 15% haste on the swiftclaw... which would be nice and not spending a lot of cash. once you have one, hand down to alts. [Goes to look if A bard can wear that....] Would be fun on a low level bard alt. but yes, if you look in game, as far as stats, belts can have some of the best stats. tunics, pants.. and belts usually. I just feel you would be hard pressed to get better hand items, but if you get haste on hands, you can get MUCH better waist items. I feel your missing out on TOO many stats taking up the waist slot.

I have been pricing these out myself. Anywhere from 3500 to 4500pp in the bazaar. However, a few cash despirate folks have unloaded them as low as 3000pp.
FBSS used to be 1k.

Actually, there are three types of haste and as long as you only have one of each they do stack. The three types are equipment, spell, and bard song. Now in answer to the question at hand, the epic weapons that proc a haste; Swiftwind, Monks fist, warrior, ect cetera; are considered for this purpose bard haste. SO the 40% haste from Swiftwind would stack with the 22% haste of the SCHW. Thank you,

No, this does not stack with ranger epic. As a 56 ranger, even though I do not have my Swiftwind, you can imagine how many times I have stared mindlessly at links of it that say Effect: Haste (Worn). And about the 3 types of haste (Worn, Spell, Bard) I have at times had 2 types of spell haste... for some reason Aanya's Quickening and Speed of Valon stack. Also, with all of the hastes like Speed of Vallon, Visions of Grandeur, and Speed of the Shissar, the haste spells (including Nalot's Quickening) stack with them, and a monk in my guild swears that even with Speed of Valon, his Eyepatch of Plunder effect makes him attack faster.
Once again, the ranger epic (Swiftwind) haste is worn, and so it does not stack with these, or believe me, lots of people would use both of these items.

I've read on another website that the monk epic haste-like effect (Celestial Tranquility) will stack with another Haste effect of equipment as it is not the in the haste spell line.
That would mean monks can have four haste effects at the same time: epic, equipment, spell and song.
Not sure if this is true as I have no monk and I'm far from having an epic, but it sure would be deadly to fight such a monk...

Bard songs (most) do not stack with spell haste. They are considered a magic effect which will stack with an item effect but not another magic effect. It does, however, appears that they stack due to other effects of the song. Example a 58 bard plays Jonthan's Inspiration and an enchater cast Aanya's Quickening on a monk, both icons appear, however, the monk will only get the haste from the chanters spell, seeing it's the higher haste. Yet the buff icon from the bard's song still appears because of the other buffs produced by the song.

I had to give up my 25 ac cobalt to use wraps (+10 ac and other +3 stats)
Clearly, at this point in my career, I am better off with the wraps. ( I am up 18 str and 5 ac plus the various other plus 3 bonuses)
Seems clear to me, AT THIS POINT IN TIME

I had to give up my 25 ac cobalt to use wraps (+10 ac and other +3 stats)

About 6-8 months ago when I had finally saved 6k, I had a choice between SCHW and a Iksar regen BP ( also 6kpp ). Since I had regen spells and I melee'd alot I got the wraps. Now that I dont melee anymore ( read JBB ) I go to sell the wraps to get a BP for better canning....only to find that SCHW are like 3k tops now on Luclin while the Iksar BP is still 6k. I guess these are farmed constantly or the BP is just a rarer drop. They served me well for the time tho I could get a bit more XP/ faster pulls with better hp/mana regen. I think they drop in Velks, and from how Ive heard people talk about that zone/camp it may be less frustrating to spend the 3k or less to buy them now. If only the BP would drop in price too..

The question was do SCHW stack with the Paladin's spell Valor of Marr, or do haste items stack with this spell?
Answer is YES
If you have a haste item and cast Valor of Marr it does stack but you can not stack Valor of Marr with other spells that effects are haste it has to be an item to stack

Correct, you can stack 1 spell, 1 bard song, and 1 item for haste.
That's still not quite right... it's 1 spell, 1 Bard song that exceeds cap (Battlesong of the Vah'Shir, I think, is one), and 1 item
