Looks like a good earring to get, too bad the quest is no longer active.

Im rating this item for priest casters. Since most priest casters have over 200 wisdom before they look for items like this. Ive also seen most preist casters (druids mostly) use forest loops. Forest loops give 3 wisdom and above 200 wisdom each wisdom point gives 6 mana. There, this item is defintly greater then a forest loop aside from the agi it gives for the ac and hp.
This quest was active for about 2 weeks. I did it on the last day and it took me an hour. Nice item. I still wear it at lvl 60, until I find something much nicer ;)

I asked in a bunch of different zones (on Prexus), and even asked some people that were wearing it, they said the quest to get this earring was only do-able back when LFay was corrupted. **** you Verant! I can never find a fun, and decently easy quest that reqards me with a nice item!

This item is Godly for any Soloing Rogue... As any of you know, all a Rogue needs to solo is a nice Stun effect, and aside from a Gnoll Hide Lariat, I've not seen another weapon that does this... What makes it even greater is the fact that it is a Triggered Effect, and although it is limited, it ain't that hard to get...

This earring is awesome, 5 AC, 20 hp, 20 mana, 6 sv disease?! Alot eassier to get than the friggin sarnak earring of station, not to mention, I'd rather have 20 hp, mana and save then 5 str, specially since I'm a hybrid. As for orc fangs... orc fangs suck. Cougar claw earrings are 20 times better than orc fangs and these earrings... well... just don't compare orc fangs with these. It's a pity the quest is over on Veeshan, or else I woulda gotten one of these.

Cougar Claw Earring now have Mana Preservation I effect which saves you 10% mana on spells below 20?
I am a 41 ranger and I still cast low level spells like Snare and Root so I liked by Cougar Claw Earrings. Of course now I have a Fine Antique Ring which has MP II which means if covers spells 44 and below (thus everything in my spellbook ATM).

Funny, I'd take an orc fang over cougar claw every day of the week and twice on sunday (and what's great is you can trade one cougar claw earring for like 6 orc fangs; thats 2 for you and 2 for each fo 2 twinks! =P)... 15hp is well worth 1ac/2dex. In the higher lvls of the game, HP > AC for a number of reasons...

So 1 AC and 2 dex in favor of 15 hps is 20 times better? IMHO, they're both good earrings.
This item is very nice (even though the quest is over) but there's no need to rant how much another piece of equip sucks because it isn't as good as this... sheesh

Now is there was only a way to recharge them. I was forced to use all 5 charges in one fight against a blue caster. He resisted once. :(

This appears to be one of the best warrior earrings in the game.
Great AC, HP's, and a random +Save thrown in. Why, oh why, can't my Ogre warrior wear this..

I would have to say the best non dragon/planar warrior earing is Sarnak Earing of station 5 ac 5 str but thats just my opinion, this is an ok earing, would be a whole lot better if it was unlimited. For pulling purposes;) force isnt that much dmg for ti to be foor for anything else, sept to kill a nuke. 90 dmg stun if i remember right, or maybe the 60 dmg one?
In the higher lvls, str (and other core stats, sta aside) are rather pointless for tanks. HP is first priority, followed by AC, then resists/stats. You take care of your hp/ac and your stats will take care of themselves... str is way overrated for anything but monks/rogues. The 20hp/6svD will do you more good overall than would 5str. I have 121str unbuffed and I could care less... my HP/AC (and resists) are quite good, and thats what counts. With shammy buffs and abjunction of str, I can nearly cap my str anyway.

For my warrior, I have orc fangs, didn't really choose, becuase nobdy is selling these. The force clickable effect sounds awesome, assuming there is no level restriction to use. Especially if they can be recharged. Otherwise, I'd carry this in my backpack (to switch for an emergency), and wear the orc fangs. The +3 strenght is worth 5 less hp. Then again, once I can afford a hero bracer, and bracer of errolisi, I may not need the +3 strenght in the earrings as much. The save vs. disease would be nice when fighting undead. Of course, since this is Lore, we're talking one ear, not both. If I had an ear open, or had something crappy there, I'd take either.

This quest is active ONLY on servers that failed to defeat Cazic-Thule at the GM event that called Tunare's avatar. If the LFay zone on your server hasnt changed, then your server succeeded in driving Cazic-Thule off.
This is not true. Cazic-Thule was defeated on my server, but the Lesser Faydark is still quite changed. This may be the case on other servers, but it doesnt' necessarily apply to all servers.

I did this quest last week, and found it worth dying for(got killed by a brownie scout on my way to the druid). I was 27th lvl at the time, and it only took about 30 mins to complete.
In looting the frightlings and other creatures i came accross this item:
Silver vile of Blacking (or blackend) Fluid.
MAGIC, LORE, NODROP
I can't remember what I looted it off of, and can find no references on ANY website as to what it is for.
Anyone have any ideas?

This quest is only possible if your server lost the fight with Cazic Thule, and Lesser Fay is transformed into undead Fay. (Red Sky)

On the Xev server they had this change in Lesser Fay with the blood red sky, all the undead/corrupt things running around it. BUT, the zone has been changed back to the way it was previously. This happened about 2-3 weeks ago, so this item is no longer obtainable on the Xev server. Luckily, I got mine before the change went in again.

This quest is NOT active on Rodcet. The zone is still the same as it has always been with no new mobs at all. Beginning to think this is a hoax.

I received word from one Povar resident that the Tunare/Cazic event happened on their server within the last couple of days. I'm on Quellious so, unfortunately I can't personally confirm this.

To everyone interested in obtaining this earring, using wolf form made it easy for my 35 druid. As such, the only mobs (other than the tiny frightlings) that were aggro to me were the undead sprite horrors, which are pesky little sk's I believe. Anyhow, these can be avoided without much difficulty, and not having to deal with brownies makes this quest VERY easy to accomplish.

I went in there today to get the earing thinking it would be an easy quest with my 14th lvl shammy and a 14th lvl fighter and a 17th lvl monk and we were getting our butts kicked. There is no way anyone should try this at 5th lvl.

It's actually a stun/damage spell. Does about 100 points of damage and pushes the mob backwards a step or two. They're stunned for about 5-6 seconds.
