It'd be nice if they updated the Shaman equipment to include frogloks... I'm using it at the moment, and it works just fine. Got it for about 200pp too. I think I got a good deal...

This is a great soloing hammer...In a group it's iffy, because you shouldn't really be meleeing too much there anyway, as a shaman.
The good thing about this hammer?
It's a disease based proc (most mobs have low resist to this plus shamans get a low mana cost debuff for it), and over 500 dmg in a period of around 2 mins. Granted you might not use all that 2 mins fully, but that's a lot of dmg still.
Shaman dots inheritantly stack with each other. This means if you use ANY other dot rather than Scourge your proc will stack.
Because shamans can pretty much max their str and dex (our general buffs + a self only line), the damage and proc on this is good.

Granted there are better weapons out there, this is great for soloing for anyone who doesn't have access to the higher end gear.
Although 4k is too much for the common player and would be better spent on other stuff :) So, I guess the only real problem is the price for this weapon.

For comeing off a Dragon this thing sucks, but then again, no it sucks.

You have to remember this loot is now almost 5 expansions old. When this came out it was rather nice, and was worthy of being dragon loot. I can 2 box Sev now, but during the Kunark Era when people were finally replacing thier Banded Armor (1pp an AC, heh) this was a decent raid size dragon. Think of when this came out before you mindlessly berate an item.

Check out eBay... that is where I get all my stuff from. ***** doing any quests and taking the time to level up. I usually just pay some high lvl to PL me. That's where all the fun is at =p J/K Try earning your stuff MosmoS!!!

Does any one know what the ()combat) after effect:scourge means? Wondering if this makes it stack with normal casted scourge. Don't go by the screen shot btw. In game it saye Scourge (combat).

the (combat) after a listed effect means you have to be in combat for the effect to take place if would identify a random proc and not a clickable effect.

Was gifted with this fine hammer at level 28. I can verify by use that the proc begins at 30th level. The proc may be for 500+ but I only see 40 on the first shot and it seems slower than my 30/26x7 DOT. Ah well I am usually too impatient for the MOBs to drop due to the DOTs anyway and keep bashing on them. HEHE. Gonna keep this one for a LONG time! I even equip this when I am working up my trade skills thanks to the +9 Wis and +9 INT both there at the same time!

I got it and is worth every cent for soloing ability, I go for wis items when grouping and raids but I solo with this (add in Alacity or Adrenaline Tap potion and I rock)

Not only does this have a good dam/delay ratio but it also procs a 500+ DoT. Granted in a group the extra wisdom in the off hand but should you be soloing that dot's gonna rock. It may even save you mana, group or not, if you plan to cast that DoT.

Let face it Wis is the only stats that really counts for us healer classes
