I was just kinda hangin out in the warrens last night with my lvl 24 bard. I was just killing a few kobolds for faction then i noticed the huntmaster, so i attacked em, duh. But anyway, he dropped forlorn bow first time, not too bad I'd say. Not that that helps anyone, but I like it.
I have 26 forlorn arrows now and have had 5 bows or so - (yes i do get xp ) The bow is VERY good and underatted in truth only rangers actually kite with bows and most other people pull with em - the range on this beastie means it is a great pulling bow you really are looking at serious bows to even match the range - In summary no good really for rangers to kite with great for pally's etc. to pull with and it doesnt weight too much which is extremely unusual for warrens loot
Went in Warrens with my level 30 Magician guildmate (which, since I was at level 22, meant that we could loot all the good stuff, but there was little challenge involved, defeating the purpose of the trivial loot code, hehe). We made our rounds, killed the Muglwump (Magician fishing pole, and a potion of Invisibility, oddly enough), then Krode and his buddies (got a Krode's Shawl and a Batling Eye), then whupped the High Shaman and the King (Forlorn Naginata, Globe of Everburning Flame, yay), Lorekeeper (nothing but junk), Cave Bat Lord (no loot, boo!), Mighty Cave Bear (no loot, boo!), and finally the Huntmaster (Forlorn Bow, other junk). Was for the most part empty; no one hunting beyond the first hallway on the King's side. Was lucky, I guess, to get the bow on the first drop.
Anywhere from a 30 second to two minute delay based on your conection speed, free teleport to your bind point (sans all gear), all hitpoints and mana restored, all dots, poison and disease dispelled, Pally and SK get LH and HT restored - only problem is that you do encure an XP loss. ;)
The damage/delay on this bow is worse than a rough hickory bow, but check out the range! If all you want to use your bow for is pulling, this isn't bad.
