This is a great quest, for any class. The exp is amazing along with the rinmail plus the faction will aid you in the future. You can head to the warrens with 8 standard backpacks at level 8 solo, 5 with a group. Get help from another character if you need to but stay until you have at least 50 molars, once you have this amount head back and turn them in. At level if you start handing them in at level 5 you will be level 10 by the time you have finished. I kid you not. And probably have 3-6 pieces of ringmail as well, so if you looking for a great low level quest there are few better then this one.
I have been seeing it drop off of the gaurds more then the howlers. Maybe it is because I have killed more gaurds then Howlers but i have seen on the gaurds more the howlers ratio wise also. Just my 2 copper pieces
I am a Barbarian Warrior and at level 14 I was getting good XP and great rewards. But since I was thrashing everything in site I dont recall what they dropped off. Anyone know for sure, helping a friend level some...thanx.
It drops off of all types of non-named kobolds in The Warrens, located just off of the newbie zone in Paineel (Odus) It drops about 33% of the time, you only need one to complete the quest. (good quest) turn them into Tiam outside the courtyard of the deepwater knights in Erudin. For deepwater, high councel faction and an extremely hard hit to paineel faction..which is easy enough to gain back by killing kobolds in the warrens. (evil quest) not sure who you turn them into, of the exact factions hits, only that it is a very hard to hit to all erudite factions and fair up to paineel faction. Same reward. Either way, it's a great quest.
Doesn't this drop in the Warrens zone? I think there is a no drop tooth of some kind in there. Is this the one? If so It drops off pretty much any Kobold in the zone.
True, it *can* drop off most any kobold in the Warrens. I've recently noticed, however, that it has dropped most often off the Howlers. Perhaps that's why they're howling? /shrug
