a "An Emerald" is stackable but this is about just "Emerald" which is not stackable.
After doing a quest turn in with the Skeletal cook at the top of Kurn's the "Thick-boned Skeleton" spawned very shortly thereafter in his corner location. Dropped the "An emerald".

This skeleton also drop the gem A Saphire.
the emerald when identified by a necromancer says it is called "The gardens of Sebillis"
the Saphire identifies as "The pools of Sebillis"
Dont know if this helps or not but there it is..
