just saw this in baz to day and the spell is tashania (lvl 44 spell) not tashani (lvl 18 spell)
big diff makes i a lot mroe useful at higher lvls
and dont u hate how all the tash spells are only like 1 letter off fomr eachother just a littel mistake i noticed on the site

A beastlord in our guild went shopping in the Bazaar (Povar) the other day and accidentally lag-bought this staff for 500 pp. She had no use for it and I figured 500 pp was an excellent price, so I repaid her for her loss and took the staff for the guild.
We have three chanters in the guild -- my GL with a high 1HB and nearly no 2HB skill, an officer's chanter that she hardly ever plays and a new level 12 played by an officer's daughter (who has some officer potential of her own, despite being only 13).
With the Book of Obulus equipped in my secondary slot, it wasn't worth losing the melee skill and some later flexibility just for 2 INT and 5 mana extra, so the staff went to the level 12 chanter who had started off with a 2HB. She won't see the proc for a long, long while but immediately ran off and soloed an orc centurian in three blows.
It's one of those moments that just makes you smile and remember why this game is truly a pleasure sometimes. :-)

Well I got one a couple days ago off VS, was one of only 2 chanters there, and I won the roll. Lucky day I think, so I go take my new whack-a-mole stick outside for a test spin... click, click, click, no effect at lvl 45. I work REAL hard and get to 46 in a day... click, click, click... NOTHING! Well I imagine this won't be clickable till 49 like my blazing earring of energy. ARGH! Oh well, at least I can work on my soloin with it, was really good at dispacthing Ragers in DL with it. Say, lookey there, 2H up to skill of 8.

This stick drove me crazy! a 44 spell and it wouldn't work for me until I hit 51. BAH.

Actual effect is Tashania not Tashani. Tashania does a 31-33 point MR debuff

If it debuffs MR by 31 - 35 then it's Tashani.

Ummm... No... Tashania does around 30-35 MR debuff. Tashani does 20ish. The effect is Tashania (as per the picture).

My apologies on this, you are correct. I play on Vallon Zek, and when spells effecting resists are cast, they do 1.5x the normal amount (i.e. Tash, Malo, etc) So on my server when I tashania a player (myself included) it debuffs 50 MR points. However, in PvE I can't tell you. I had forgotten about the PvP debuff modifier on that. My apologies again.

So this procs at 51 huh? Not great but not horrible.
Nice thing is that while it is a 44 spell, Tashania (indeed this is what it is supposed to click, not Tashani) is a QUEST spell... which is nice... if you have not gotten around to doing the quest (I have, but what the hey, right?) now you dont need to.
My enchanter is 44 now, got the item when guild just took out VS last night... but even until clickable it is a nice way to get 2hb skill up... seriously, how many 2hb weaps ARE there that have as low a delay as 24? With Celerity I expect to be whacking away pretty quick... in my groups unless I need to mezz or rebuff they wont mind me working up my skill whacking at the mob... certain I will never steal aggro LOL....
The other pri/sec items I have are Shai din ceremonial dagger (awesome little sticker for enchanters from the Betrayal area of Chardok B) and Rokyl's Channelling Crystal for extended enhancements... but when not buffing I find giving up those two for this staff I lose no direct mana (50 vs 50) and only lose currently 2 int (12 from dagger compared to 10 from staff... this will get up to 5 I think once I am at the recc level for the dagger) but since my int will soon be over 255 with KEI (next level, YAY!) the loss of the int is pretty irrelevant. Also the dagger has some saves but nothing to worry much about in regular groupings as I see it)
All in all a nice little acquisition, and I can click the sucker all the time in groups and solo without using up my mana... always a plus.

Hello all me and a friend of mine found this staff on shady for 23pp what a find even though my enchanter is only level 18 cant wait to get the spell to proc though.

You sure it was the Shissar Nullifier Staff? I can't see anyone selling it to a merchant unless by accident, in which case they would have bought it back if it was only 23pp. Even crap magic items get massive inflation applied to them by merchants, something like this should appear in the thousands of PP range

positive its the staff and i know shady only charged 23pp thats why i jumped on it
this staff is bomb.. i love it. tho the effect doesn't seem usable to a lvl 44 chanter ill need to look ino it... the staff goes for 20-25k on most servers by the way

Nice effect. Nice stat bonuses. Nice drop from VS for you enchanters. Have you checked out the cleric weapon drop? We get a no bonus two handed stick with resist magic. Makes me feel like Naggy all over again. But at least there is a CHANCe VS will drop the Donal's Legs. Unlike Naggy's LAME drops for a cleric.
The item pic says Tashania, but the listed effect says Tashani...Which is it? May I get some help if you have Nullifyer Staff??

My enchanter has the staff. The effect is the 44th level spell Tashania, which is an unresistable magic resistance drop in the low 30s.

I found this in the bazaar for 1200 =). I have yet to do my coin quest(I know, bad enchanter), but this has int and raw mana as well as the clicky effect. We don't get another decent tash until level 57 so i will be using this for a while. And yes i know we get one at 55 but its a weaker ae version, and i don't plan on using it much.
This might not be the pantheon of enchanter staffs and the click casting time is a second slower(not that i will be rapid tashing anything anytime soon), but when there is no one working on debuffing other then me, the mr debuff clicky and the free spell slot for cripple, some utility spell or a nice mana tap is nice to make up for stats lost in my off hand.

This Item Rocks. Plain and simple
Is the tashania effect instant cast, or the cast time same? If it's higher, then this staff really is useless, but if it's equal to or less than (preferrably nil, that would be so fuggin' nasty) then it's actually quite valuable.

The big advatage is thats one more spell you can mem since you won't need to mem tash

That's freakin ridiculous. I can use a freakin L5 de enchanter to get me a stein of moggok, that's the 10 int right there, and 50 mana isnt really that great. Plus, any chanter 44+ who doesnt KEEP tashania memd has issues... any decent chanter that I've EVER seen casts tash HABITUALLY... there's just no other way to fight. Come on fokes, tashania costs like 30 mana... what an effect =P. Now maybe if it was beserker spirit/rampage triggered... then I might think it was decent as a free rune-type effect.. but TASH? Look at the effects on the stuff that other classes get from VS.. it puts this POS to shame.

I got this a few nights ago. It is nice to not have the standard Crude Stien/Rod of Glamour combo, people have to inspect me now to find out I'm a chanter. The AC and the MANA are nice to have, the INT isn't bad but I already have enough items to get me above the 200 soft cap that it's really not that important. What is great is the effect, Tashania is the level 44 spell of the same name. Essentially I never have to go back and forth in my spell book to mem and un-mem this spell anymore, and frees up an extra slot to keep another spell in.

I would gladly pay 2k for this one. It would be nice not to stand out so much as a chanter, the mana from this thing would be about the same as 2 Steins of Mogguk, a little AC is always nice, and the "Tashania" effect is excellent.
