Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that every other class gets resist mods on their thurg quest armor? Is there a reason we've been forgotten there? Or am I the only one here that cares...
What level is required to trigger this effect? I know a Shaman who has a chance at this, but he is lvl 42. Will he be able to trigger?? thanks for any info
What does this armor look like on an Iksar? I have a lot of gems and the faction needed for this stuff, just need the drop in Kael. ( Like everyone else I guess ;p ) A screenshot would be cool if anyone has one.
Just wondering what type of faction ill need with the dorfs if i decided to go for this particular quest armor....Indifferent good enough or do i have to be up to ally status for me to be able to get this armor?
Hi, to my understanding you need to be ally. I went ahead and got my faction up to ally for arms quest. I know without a dbout that Indifferent wont work and without ally status you wont even be given the quest verbally.
these greaves are 5 hitpoints less than pog but have 20 more mana. Kinda a tossup at highend stuff, but we are casters so i'd say get these.
Sure plane of growth bp is easy to get for shaman so this isn't really a big deal, but if you got time on your hands in between tov hunts... why not?
A full suit of Thurg has the added bonus of making you look like a pimp oracle in rygorr with a big glowing spear =) Still tho, cosmetics aren't worth jacking a poor ranger his awesome breastplate over. Dont take the poor ranger's bp if you already got pog. Chances of a ranger having plane of hate bp are almost zilch. No way I'd let a ranger walk into temple of veeshan with a tree weave either.
Breastplate drops have been seen off Troopers, veterans, and protectors of zek in the arena area. Basically the mob's gotta be 53+ to drop a bp. I'm sure thats not the exact truth, but if you ever wanna see this breastplate, you better treat it like the truth. Luckily troopers are rather common in the arena, so the chance isn't that small of getting a bp. I'd say you could get 2 breastplates in a 24 hour period if you kept the entire backside area clear... That being said, just keep going there and hope you win. Eventually you are bound to get your chain bp.
Black marble - drop off lvl 51+ caster mobs in velks, sirens grotto, dragon necropolis, maybe few other places. If you really wanna see your breastplate and a few guildie's too, head to sirens grotto temple area. There is approximately 20ish sirens there, any of which can and will drop bp gems for you. Drop rate is about 2 to 3 an hour depending how fast you mow through them. You also get the runed sea shell off of them for your 7th shawl quest. (dont lie, you know you want flowing thought I as well =P)
no it cant, valor adds hitpoints when it is cast, sta buffs add to the MAX hp you can get at the time, so it will just make it seem like you lost health because the total you can have is higher but the amount you have is still the same
I personally love armour with right click buff means I dont have to sit and dig in my spell book every time some tank whines for a buff..
Things like cure disease and zing.. I love these on my gear too because I never have those spells up and sometimes outta the blue they are needed often when you are stuck in situations where you cant sit and mem or the mobs will get you. Well now I'm ready for them and my tanks will never run outta stam or die of disease or get lost in the dark again
ok all i need to know is where is the walk threw for this quest?....i don't care if anyone likes this tunic but i would give my iskar cerimonial bp for this any day!

Anyone who says that Bramblecoat is a bad effect is clearly a moron.
Then again, hey, if you don't want a BP which has a right-clickable AC buff which stacks with every other AC buff in the game, then hey, I'll take that JBone BP.
With the AC buff, the JBone BP is basically a 52 AC BP.
Max AC??? Umm, there IS NO MAX for AC. that little "/1000" deal is just for looks. people go over 100 easy at top end of game.
Besides that, unless you are packing serious AGI gear, even with some decent armor you will not be much over 800 AC once your defense maxxes out at 40.... I got almost full Jaundiced and still barely top 800, and I consider what I wear to be decent (not good, great or uber) gear on the AC line of things. So wither you have GOOD gear, and shouldn't be ragging or you are a speaking from the wrong *******.
I agree!!! Not just on armor either....most of our weapons suck for effects too...too bad no one at Verant I. plays a shaman or at least not very well.
someone sure has no clue what they are talking about, max ac isnt 1000, about that you are correct, but there is a soft cap on ac (which means it does nothing for you after that point), softcap used to be 1100 but has been raised to 1350. Ask any tank in a high end guild, after 1350 its hp gear all the way. Not to mention that bramble coat does NOT stack with all other buffs, so at a raid (when you need the AC the most mr slower) you wont even have that buff on.
p.s. why post when you have no clue what your talking about?

It obious its got something to do with healing, but what exactly? is it right clickable or triggered? is it regen or heal? if regen how much hp/tic, and if health how many hp's? Lastly... what is the level limit?? Lotsa questions with answers i want! hehe

Riotous Health is the level 54 shaman stamina buff. It adds roughly 50 stamina and a good amount of HP added to your max HP total. All in all it's a nice spell to have mana free for those shamans who like to keep everyone buffed... And stamina is one I ask for no matter what class I'm playing on a big raid.
yes i am a shaman but not up to 54 yet (51). i just wondered. cleric donals arms cast valor and have a healing affect. i've seen my brother usse it as a mana free heal. i was jusst hoping if it had a similar affect in addition to adding stamina we would be unstoppable. kill, cann2, mana free heal, repeat.
I have a fungi tunic, and a guildmate who got a better BP offered to multi-quest this one with me.
Fungi tunic has no wis and AC is pretty lame, plus the minor negative stats. Still, it's god-like in important ways and I would never give it up.
But this thurg armor is great too. I could see doing a lot of fighting in this armor and medding in fungi tunic -- swapping them in and out. I could definitely see going into a tough battle and loving the extra AC and wisdom/mana.

All high end Velious plate-based armors (warriors and shamans) can be worn by Iksars.
Why? Because PoG armor is the epitome equipment of a class. It is the equivalent to an epic weapon. For example, just because half elves look like n'sync doesn't mean they can't wield the Fiery Defender. Okay bad example... sue me :)
