The Unicorns in the Elddar Forest respawn in less than 30 minutes as opposed to theater of blood which is a raid zone and therefore respawns are hours. The Unicorns that pop over by the Ancient trees drops this meat more often than by the unicorn pond. Theater of Blood dropped 1 meat in 3 hours and the Elddar Forest was 3 meats in an hour. Good Luck.
there are two unicorns that pop by the ancient tree- however one pops inside it and although you can target it, you get an emote telling you that you can't see your target. if i had a pet i might could draw it out but my druid would have to charm one. these meats are extremely rare. guess i'll go charm a bear and see what happens

- ToB is not a good idea since you aggro a ton of mobs easily and there are not too many horses that could drop the meat. - Elddar forest is an easy camp, plenty of unicorns around the pond, solo pulls and very few roamers. 1st clearing gave 0 drops, the second one gave 2, so I'm guessing they are not rare drops either.
cleared theatre of blood once, elddar forest a couple times, tried dragonscale hills and loping plains, plane of fear, fear itself, and saw no horse meat.

It's a relatively rare drop. If you continue not to see it, I'd submit a bug report in-game.
I went to The Elddar Forrest about a year ago, and tried to get some horse meat. I think the unicorn/horse models which drop the meat are soloable with root rotting, but I had a problem with adds if killed anywhere near the spawn spot. I looked around for a good pull spot, but could not find one nearby. There are roamers, one of whom is a raid mob, and they are all social with one another in the vicinity of the horse spawn sites. I tried pulling the horse models to the area where the elves hang out, where they may not be social with one another, but the horses lost aggro on the long pull. Does anyone have any ideas? I don't like paying 50K in the Maelin Bazaar when it is available.
