I just ran around the zone and killed every mammoth lik creature that I could find. Took about 45 minutes for the Tainted to show up on track. I didn't find many calves at all I was mostly killing the full sized mammoths.

you can start the epic quest at level 50 by asking telin darkforest "what action?"
before that he "cannot discuss these matters with you until you have gained more experience" or whatever.

I just Dinged to lvl 46 tonight and like every other ding sence lvl 40 i went to check and see if i could start this quest it worked so you can start it at 46!
I can confirm that you can start at level 46. I started yesterday and he does everything you need to get going on the quest.

When i dinged 46 with my druid, i went to see the dude in burning woods.. i hailed him, and he basically told me to go away. i then went to Crushbone, and slaughtered many orcs. (wow, that was a fun time). i went back to him (still lvl 46) and tried again. lo and behold, he answered me with the epic dialogue, and i started my epic at 46.
i'm now 47, and am about a third of the way thru the kills, and have all the forages, and have done the turn in for the bowl. only have to do the Athele cycle, and kill VS, and the corrupted's for the cleansed spirits.
so yes, you can start the epic at 46, if you work your faction. (i'm a half elf, and was told i needed to work faction for him to talk to me)
if you're a wood elf, i think he'll talk to you at 46 (will post more when my wife gets her wood elf druid to 46 and tries it).. don't know about halfling tho.

Aye, I keep hearing many stories of not being able to start till 50. I myself started at 35 (52 now and still don't have whole thing done but oh well....)

I could start it at lvl 46. And not before that.
There was some damage that you did at some point in time to your faction. Some repair is needed if Telin doesnt start the Epic with you.
What can I do to repair faction with Telin. I got a faction hit by Tunare from dragging a corpse =(

Maybe they changed it recently...but I was able to start mine at level 42. All I need to do is get a Jade Reaver and do the Dark Elf Corruptor...I have the Worn Dark Metal Coin I need to trigger him.

I was wondering if the Elaborate Scimitar can be multi-quested?
I am giving up my 52 druid and she is weilding the Elaborate Scimitar and has all the items needed for the final turn in, with the exception of killing Faydedar. She hasnt done that yet.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Unfortunately, all the rest of the stuff is just drops.. Tainted / Corrupted line of mobs..
You just need to get the three spirits and kill the dragon in TD..
Why not just do the rest of them?
I suppose that you could probably MQ it, but I wouldn't trust it.. You'd have to have a druid with perfect faction (I had to work on mine with it), and they'd have to have all the spirits...
Just suck it up and get your druid the rest of the stuff.. It'll look uber neat to have your epic on a retired character. :D

All I have left to do is kill faydedar and I am dnoe with the epic. Whoever told you that there are TWO scimitars before the epic lied to you. You get the Elaborate Scimitar, and in the end you exchange it (along with the spirits) for the NWS... there is no "upgrade" to the Elaborate Scimitar other than the epic

I am currently a 37 druid but i have some friends could this be obtained before lvl 50? i have most of the stuff for quest already almost all corrupted but 2 just cuz i goto hunt were they spawn and people will let you loot if their is no other higher lvl druids in zone

Yesterday I became Lvl 46 (Finally while the rest of my guild was on Plane of Hate). And I checked again if Telin Darkforest would give me the Worn Note in Burning Woods to start this quest.

from what ive been told, and what im gonna believe until proven otherwise. you can start the epic pre 50. i started mine when i was 48, and damnit all i got left is faydedar(if only i could get some help =( ). however, ive been told that you can not do the final turn in till you reach 50. of course it doesnt matter anymore being lvl 55 and all.

I asked a GM yesterday if you can fullfill the Epic Quest before 51 and he replied that you should be 51. So do not turn in any items or you might loose them.
I myself already turned in many items with 46 and recieved everything in regular. But perhaps only the last turn in will not work, but you knows?
So I will not turn in more items until 51 for now.

Actually, you can kill VS for a stone. But the normal spawn VS only drops 1 stone per death. Hand VSR the globe of fireflies and the 49 cleric rez spell and he spawns into a weaker VS that drops 2 stones and no other loot.

This is the scimitar returned from Ella Foodcrafter during the Druid Epic quest. Requires the defeat of a couple of 50+ MoBs to get this far.

The only hard part to get this is killing Venril Sathir and getting the stone he drops. Everythings else is mainly foraging and carrying stuff from one end of the land to the other.

Faydedar is on part 2 of the quest and isnt required to be killed to get the scimitar. Only VS and the DE Corruptor are needed to be killed to get the elaborate scimitar. All the other mobs that are killed are in part 2 of the quest which requires the cleansed spirits of 3 continents. the scimitar and the cleansed spirits give you the final nature walkers scimitar. Before you criticize others, be sure to have your own facts straight, lest you end up looking stupid.

Well you also need a Dark Reaver.. which is found on Black Reavers in CoM (50+)..

That is correct. You need the Jade Reaver to get this far. Also, Jade Reavers go for 5kpp on the Nameless Server fyi...

All i know about Jade Reavers is that they use to be a 5k weapon. Last one i saw was going for 25k cause it is part of an epic quest. Welcome to supply and demand economics.

Jade Reavers can EASILY be gotten in CoM by one group of approximately 50ish in level. In case of multi spawns (see below) you may want a back-up group to sit by until the first Reaver is dead to "tag" in while group 1 rests up. Go all melee (as they resist) with a good Cleric (or 2 if you like) and tear em up. Some Reavers will spawn another Reaver when their killed. I don't remember the ratio or why they do, but I've noticed that some Reavers will spawn as many as 3-4 more Reavers in succession when they are killed. I was in a group once that had 4 total spawns off one Reaver and a Jade Reaver dropped off each corpse. We had so many after awhile that we were giving them away to people in the zone.

You are correct in one thing, Then Nature Walker's Scimitar is alot nicer than this one, but you need this scimitar to get the Nature Walker's Scimitar. You need to turn the Cleansed Spirits from Kunark, Faydwer, and Antonica as well as this sword to complete the quest.

I think you're wrong. From what I've heard and read, you get this one first, then hand this ONE scimitar in with the 3 cleansed spirits to get the final Epic. I only count one scimitar befor the Final prize.

LOL, it doesn't matter if he said "before" "during" or "after" he is still wrong, the is NO other upgrade to this "the elaborate scimitar" other than the EPIC. 4 items needed for the epic turn in, this and the 3 cleansed spirits.
