in case anyone was wondering, this effect is the same thing as grim aura but with half the duration, so don't waste your time getting this if you have a grim aura ite,
Can u Use this Effect out of ur inventory? like right click n hold on the place in ur inventory until the hotbutton of the slippers comes up then put it in a hot button, will u still be able to sue the effect even tho they r not equiped? thx -monk of the 41th season
You can get all 3 gems for 500pp (for all 3) and get the MQ for 2000p or lower. For 2500pp these boots kick serious arss!
7ac +7 str and the saves are not too shabby for the price. The others are better, but I would go thurg and then move on to the SS ones. Most of the other armor sucks, but these are worth getting.
I had shrouded boots (12ac +4 to all main stats but it had 2.5 wt). These boots replaced them and brought my wt to a perfect 18 at level 51.
The proc adds 10-14 (i forget) and doesnt stack with grim aura or our epic proc, but hey what do you want.
These boots are basicly for people that dont want to camp the gobby earing and or dont have there epic.
I have the leather boots from Kael arena and the guild has more than enough gems on the gem mule. But I'll just keep wearing my Shiverback hide boots, k thx.
as everyone knows by now, these are the same boots as the plane of growth boots. i guess the problem i have with that is the ability to buy boots that are much better than these boots for fairly cheap. not sure about prices on other servers. but on mine, you can buy shimmering terrorhide boots for 4k. and if you stay in EC long enough, or hang out in thurgadin a lot, you can buy barbed dragon booties for 9k.
of course neither of the boots i mentioned have this effect on them. but the sheer volume of AC on the barbed dragon booties in comparison, is kinda silly. and the shimmering terror hide boots, have more ac and better stats.
i am not saying these boots are horrible. but for velious planar drop/fairly hard quest, they don't seem to be up to par with something you can buy in EC for a reasonable price.
and the feet is one of the slots monks can pick up a huge chunk of AC.
guys, right quick did calculations for the full set of gm. Here are the raw numbers:
ac58 hp160 sr42 dx8 sa13 ag22 ch0
m11 f11 p11 c11 d11 wt1.1
Now assuming that raw ac and ag translate up higher that makes
ac@1.5 = 87 @2.0 = 116
ag@1.5 = 33 @2.0 = 44
The other stats I think are direct transfers and don't need modifiers the full suit is nice at wt 1.1 however for a full suit the resists suck, for a full suit the ac sucks, for a full suit for a MONK theres not a lot of DEX, AGI, STR, AC. This i think is shameful since these stats are the same as the planar armour from POG. Notice that all this gear is magical and not just cloth. Which means it is supposed to have a magical dweomer. For a magical dweomer from a planar stand point it's pathetic. I agree with each of you that there are much better items and it would seem that whoever made this eq was actually going back to prekunark standards for monk. Remember the sashes and headbands? Shocking. Feel free to correct any of the math. It's still quite pathetic.
anyone care to explain WHY i just looked at 3 pairs of slippers (all high lvl quest slippers) and they have identical stats, plus the same effect. does verant think we are to try and use the spell 3 times? they should at least give a different effect. or else its not really worth getting all 3 when they are identical
I think he means the PoG armor. And they are the same. But, I believe PoG just looks like cured silk, this armor probably uses a new leather skin, or maybe, atleast, tizmak or uthork and is colored. I'm sure alot of monks get tired of looking the same from level 1 on up.
well...would you rather they put firefist on a hand slot item? our epic goes there. i think it's fine that they put it on the feet, since couldn't we have firefist going while the epic's effect goes at the same time. extra offense always helps
