it took me 8 orb dod [normal] missions to get this to drop. i didn't go deep in the hive to kill. all i did was zoned in and cleared the field, exited mission and re grabbed and re killed the field mobs only. i didn't go into the towers, i didn't go on the bridges, i even didn't go to the undead or in the basement. just killed the trash in the field and re-got mission. the masked droped off the first 3 drachs you run into after you zone in at the campfire. good luck. any questions i am on teh trib server.

Took about 3 1/2 hours to get on normal difficulty setting with two people and 1 box. We finally got it to drop in the third tower on the living bridge.
The best way to do this is to have someone AOE and someone else tank. The tank I was with is uber so he was able to heal himself while I threw AOEs all over the mobs.

Took about 100 missions, 20 of those hard difficulty.
Got one though, on a normal mission.

Really happy Shammy atm, was my 7th clear all but the 5th and 6th i was clearing the field, last mob of the field, A Fallen Summoner is the mob that dropped it.

This Dropped for me 9-29-07 on the first floor of first tower, last mob i pulled. Also dropped from an "a drachnid augurer"

Dropped today .Sept 16th, got it in the 2nd tower off a drachnid infiltrator
took me about 6 trips to the hive..my strat is kill everything in the fields and kill all the basement mobs in both the towers. reget the mission and redo that sh*t all over again

Dropped May 25, 2007 for my Warrior.
Off a roamer in the field bewteen zone in and the first tower. Best bet seems to be clear all field and restart until you get it.

Got it today off a Drachnid in the bottom of the first tower, was my 4th clearing of the place.

After a week looking for it finally dropped on Saturday May 12 2007 4:00am east time....from " a drachnid champion " located @ the " basement" of the first obelisk,tower whatever you wanted to name it.....
Keep the faith It will drop eventually!!!!

3 boxing 2.0 war, 2.0 rogue, 2.0 shaman I've been tearing this zone apart....25+ hours so far at 5 hours a night. NOTTA. God I'm beginning to hate this camp. At lvl 75 the AA xp is horrid, so 2 AA in 5 hours and about 4k plat from selling vender foddle. Will continue, till it drops, or I die of old age. Whicheve comes first =(.

did one hard mission and then a normal last night with a friend. No luck on the hard and 2 dropped on the normal, guess we were pretty lucky, both got one. And they were both off drachnids in obelisks.

Spent 3 days Soloing this with my 75 wizzy. 2 missions the first day, 3 the second, then got it on my 1st attempt the third day. Dropped off one of the static spawns just outside the 2nd tower for me.

I just got a mask of my very own after 5 attempts, Something I noticed after a death and my computer crashed the zone reset and I almost didnt want to waste the time thinking the zone was probably bugged. But when I came back I noticed something different from all my other attempts. There were an unusual number of roamer near the second tower so I decided to keep going. Low and behold dropped on my last mob on first floor of second tower. It may or may not be of value to anyone but I hope it helps. PS. Very Happy SK here =)

bout 6 hours after first post it dropped off a drachnid look out way up top of the hill behind the towers wooooooooooot! finally sheesh...

30+ hours and many beers so far. for past 4 days i camped this horrid zone. coa geared 75 rogue and my coa geared 70 cleric and i slaughter these spiders. 8 normal instances so far and not one mask drop. i just kill the feild and the towers and grab a new instance. this must be sonys way of getting even with me after getting halfling mask relativly quick. least im making a lot of aas and plat off vendor trash and pages.

Got the mask to drop on December 7th off a drachnid infiltrator. Just clearing the field. Was my 5th time doing the mission solo (of course two other afk bodies to request mission.)
Got one to drop for me on Dec 7th. Dropped from a drachnid champion in the western tower.
My method was to clear the zone every time I camped for one. Roughly 5 or 6 zone clears I think was the total. So however many mobs that equals.

Finally got mine as well on nov, 13th. I too was one of the unfortunate ones who had to kill millions of spiders and do it thousands of times. usually only got as far as clearin the field and the towers if i was lucky. I just boxed it with a shaman. Dropped in easy off a drachnid Champion. fire and water ele illusions down...earth to go =P

Finally got my mask last night after I cajoled a few guildies in coming to help me slaughter the zone. Was planning on doing a full clear as many times as it took last night, but after our GL Xsas pulled about 15 Skinwalkers on us, it finally dropped.
BTW, the theory that it drops only from Drachinds is wrong - mine dropped from a Skinwalker in werewolf form.

I've been camping this thing since it was found... and after 8 months of slaughtering the whole zone, I still have not gotten one to drop. I've cleared every single mob possible and gotten nothing. Heck, I even took a two month break from it cause it was too bloody frustrating.

Took me nearly 5000 kills in this damn zone to get mine...reminded me why I haven't camped anything in years. But yet almost tempted to get the shrink ring. /boggle
